Looking for a Few RP partners (UPDATED 8/29)

Hello! I am very new to this site and as a result, am just getting settled in. Hopefully, I'll be able to meet quite a few people here that are as enthusiastic about RPing as I am.


That said, I do want to establish a few requirements when it comes to RPing.

• Please be active. This translates to posting more than once a day on most days. I will understand if you do not feel inspired and don't post for a day or two, or are slow in replying, but please don't leave without a warning for over a week. I am also EST, so if anyone is also in that timezone, or around it, it would really help with speed when it comes to replying.
  
• Please use third-person to RP. This would be like saying, "Bob went to the store to buy some milk". Bland example, I know.
  
• Post-length doesn't matter to me so long as it moves the plot forward. If you type one sentence and it moves us forward, that's good with me.
  
• Please have decent spelling, grammar, capitalization, the whole nine-yards. It just makes it easier to read.
  
• Talk to me. If you feel uncomfortable, tell me. If you have triggers, inform me. I enjoy OOC talk and planning and would appreciate if my partner did as well!
  
• Be comfortable with characters from all over the LGBTQ spectrum. This includes people who are agender, trans, bi, pan, and ace.
  

So, with that out of the way, on to the plot ideas!

• Space Pathogen
• Mutants
• Supernatural

• Harry Potter

• Humankind has managed to create spaceships to go off to far-away planets. There, they harvest new metals, new resources, find new animals, etc. etc. They return with these new minerals and such and while they have not meant intelligent life-form yet, they have met plenty of life. But when they bring back the minerals, the animals, and the plants, they carry with them their own pathogens. For the first couple years, nothing catastrophic happens. Then, one trip brings back something more than they bargained for. Something more than humanity bargained for. The disease begins wiping out humanity, begins killing off people and animals and plants faster than a cure can be devised.
  
  
  Years later, humanity has shrunk into dome-like cities, clinging to their last bits of life. The world outside is desolate. A faint signal is heard from a laboratory far, far away that swore it would keep fighting for the cure, even if everyone gave up. Now, a group must be sent out to go retrieve this cure. Whether or not this cure is real, whether or not the people who go on this mission are trustworthy, well. We'll see
• Based loosely off the idea of the X-men, mutants have begun popping up in society. People with superpowers. People who can do great things. But humanity is wary of these people. The government is wary of these people, some of whom have terrifying powers, powers that no one else can combat. As time moves on and humanity becomes more and more advanced, the government begins to capture these mutants, hunt them down to assess how they became what they are.
  
  
  Set in the distant future, mutants are now scorned throughout humanity. Most are on the run, trying to fend for themselves as loners, beggars, pick-pockets. Some are banding together to be self-sustaining, to have their own home away from humanity. Some are planning an uprising, to take the Earth for mutantkind. And some, the very first mutants, have finally been released from government captivity to hunt down their brethren.
• In a similar vein as to the mutant RP, supernatural creatures ranging from mortal gods to kelpies and vampires walk this earth. Some have integrated into human society. Some have not. Whatever the case may be, the supernatural walk among humans. And the humans know it.
  
  
  And not everyone likes it. A whole market has sprung up, of hunters that are paid to take down supernatural creatures that aren't favored by many. Some in this field are supernatural themselves, doing the dirty deed for money, redemption, a deal with the devil. Most are human and doing it for the money and the knowledge that they are hunting down literal monsters.
  
  
  But monsters can bite back. And when they do, well. Checking under your bed won't help you.
• 
  
  
  I don't have anything specific for this, but I do have a royal family already planned out. They're old OCs and they are quite flexible. I usually play the youngest, who is a rebellious young girl who prefers the company of the common folk to the stifling atmosphere of the royal family she is a part of. The family is very independent, having only sworn into the actual royal family, not actually married into it. If you're interested in RPing royalty in any capacity, I would be up for it.
• 
  
  
  I'm dipping my feet into the water when it comes to romance, but I would prefer a modern setting for romance. I have quite a few characters backed up for this kind of RP, mostly women, though I can play men. I ask that everyone in this RP that is involved in a romantic relationship be over the age of 18, however.
  
  
  Here are a few plots I have in mind:
  
  
  
  Rival Assassins

  Two assassin guilds are prominent within a city. While both value money, that is about the only thing in common the two groups have. One values morals: kill your target and only your target. Do your job quickly and cleanly. Do not speak of the guild outside of its walls. Do not trust anyone outside of the guild with information. Do not bring attention to the guild.
  
  
  Another is a bit more loose with their morals. Get the job done and do it effectively. Do whatever it takes to finish up the job as quickly and efficiently as possible. Money first, job second. Trust no one, even within the guild. And you work for your place in the guild.
  
  
  What happens when two members cross paths on a mission, a mission that seems doomed to fail? What happens when it seems like there is corruption on all sides and the government is closing in?Will they work together to succeed, or will their differences and rivalries trump all?
  
  
  
  
  From Riches to Rags

  Character A used to be on top of the world. Their parents were wealthy business people, the best in their industry. Until something happened, be it corruption, a sudden market crash, politics. Character A is suddenly near the bottom rungs of the social ladder, forced to leave behind a life of luxury and being a life of normalcy.
  
  
  Character B has known hardship. They are not from a family of wealth and they are going to college on scholarship after scholarship. They are assigned Character A as a roommate/partner to a project. Character A and Character B find themselves at odds at all times, their different lifestyles clashing terribly. But somehow, someway, they make it work.
  
  
  
  
• The only fandom RP in this lot, this RP would take place in "present day". The wizarding war has been over. A new generation enters Hogwarts. But this new generation enters Hogwarts amidst great controversy and discussion in the Ministry of Magic. Half-bloods and muggleborns clamor for the wizarding world to be exposed to muggle kind, declaring that the only reason Voldemort's death count was so high was because not everyone was looking for him and muggles became the weakest targets as a result.
  
  
  Wizard serial killers that prey on muggles have been getting more attention. Using magic, they trick muggles into believing a car crash, an overdose, a boating incident, and many, many more murders are truly accidents. They take over the minds of muggles and force them to do their bidding, preying on those that have little defense against magic.
  
  
  The wizarding world is bracing for another revolution, one that might shatter every single belief that has so long been held.

So, anyone up for anything? I'm open to any and all ideas, those are just my interests.

The characters are in Hogwarts. I would like to start in the first year. When it comes to the murders, it is just leverage for the push to expose wizardkind to muggles, but if your character is an indirect victim of the murders, that's fine. For example, my character lost her parents to one of the serial killers.

That would depend on what you want. Personally, I have a mutant on the run in mind and a mutant that is part of a self-sustaining group.
