Biography: Jennifer was always a happy girl. She grew up all smiles alongside her twin

brother, Joshua, and there was never a dull moment in the Hemingway household because

of them. They were thick as thieves and closer than paperclips caught together, although

that all changed one early morning in December. It had been just two months after their

14th birthday and the family had been travelling down the highway, heading to their cabin

on the mountains for the holidays, when they found themselves screeching into the middle

of a collision on the dual carriageway. The car had rolled over on itself, colliding with a van

further up the road, sending everyone flopping around in their seats like rag dolls. It had

been a deathly terrifying experience and while Jennifer was lucky to escape with her life,

her brother wasn't as fortunate. The accident had killed both Joshua and the family's

chauffeur, as well as costing Jennifer's father his leg which left him wheelchair bound

for months after the fact.

It was this tragedy that sparked her interest in the paranormal. Before her brother's death

she hadn't had much of a reason to believe in ghosts but with him gone her only hope was

that the paranormal was indeed real and she could still communicate with her brother as

a consequence of this. Her soft spot quickly became a hobby and, soon after, what many

people would dare call an obsession. She stayed up all night watching ghost hunting shows

and reading witness accounts on the internet, learning how to spot paranormal activity in

her own home and even once wondering if she had the guile to use a Ouija board. Every

single happy coincidence, every lucky thing that happened to her, was caused by her dead

brother's spirit - at least according to her. And while she grew out of this phase ever so

slightly when she grew up, even now she can be found occasionally addressing thin air

as she tells her brother's spirit about her day.
