Personality: Leo is generally an agreeable person. His strength is what makes him stand out, not his personality. As long as doing something will benefit him and his safety, he'll do it. Political motivations don't matter to him, he's focused purely on himself. Because of that, he can occasionally come off as selfish or rude. Many times, if something puts him into danger without any way for him to gain, he'll leave. He obsesses over survival. He does, however, lose his composure when his mother is mentioned or he sees someone resembling her. The guilt of his mother’s death has stayed with him over the years. When it’s mentioned, he often closes off.


Backstory:


Leo grew up in a small home on the outskirts of town. He was an only child and lived with both his parents. He and his father never had a good relationship, but they tolerated each other for Leo’s mother, who they both loved. However, it all changed when his family received the letter. His mother’s first thought was to hide Leo away. His father vehemently disagreed with this. It would get rid of Leo, and not only that but hiding him wouldn’t generate favor with the king.


This disagreement resulted in an argument, and that grew into a physical fight, with Leo walking in during the middle of it. In a blinding rage, his father charged towards him. He knocked Leo to the ground. Hits were exchanged, with Leo mainly defending himself rather than fighting back. Bruises bloomed and blood flowed from his mouth and nose while he was continually hit. It seemed to last for hours, the constant blows, but all of a sudden, they stopped. Their weight had been lifted off his chest, and his father was on the ground with his mother shaking above him. That caused his father to snap. He stood slowly, eyes fixed on Leo’s mother, and then he struck. His fist was thrown out towards the woman, and it connected with her jaw, forcing her to the ground. Her head cracked against the wood, and then her whole body stilled. She was dead.


The next day, Leo sat outside his house the whole day. Soldiers arrived, and he went with them quietly. He was convinced that his mother’s death was his fault, and he wanted to get away. After his arrival at the castle, Leo immediately started to train. He didn’t want to feel helpless ever again. That is what he dedicated his life to, protecting himself.

Weaknesses:

  His Past - He generally tries to keep his past hidden. During those 10 years of training, he realized that any mention of his mom, her death, or possibly even just some families similar to his own, throws him off. He either falters or stops completely. This applies during both combat and more mundane activities. It causes him to lose focus.

  Endurance - His physical endurance is actually astounding, his problem arises when he starts trying to channel his energy. He continues to practice, but even a marginal use of this power has the ability to deplete his energy greatly. Generally, after using it in a fight, he’s running more on adrenaline than anything else. Yet, there are some points, when he's at his most focused, that continuous energy use doesn't faze him, though it has only happened a couple times.

  Long Range Combat - If it’s one attack, no problem. He’ll use his energy channeling to chuck a large rock wherever it needs to go. But, long range combat typically doesn’t trigger any adrenaline, so that’s all he’ll get. Long range combat without his channeling is almost a lost cause. He doesn’t use any long range weapons, so he’s close to useless in a long distance fight.

  Not Dependable - If he ever gets into a situation where he's sure he'll be in the losing position, he'll run. He strong in a fight, and usually he’ll win, but in a losing battle, it’s hard to count on him.
