150 Before Magera

The people of Sanar were in the beginning stages of their lives, setting up their kingdoms, building their homes, claiming land and settling tribes all across the globe. Life was relatively peaceful and happy, beyond petty squabbles the people knew no real war. Ever so often a larger scale fight would break out though that was far and few between, and usually only done between a few settlements at best. 180 Before Magera Monsters started appearing in the land. Far and few between, though still posed a good threat to the lands' people. Frightened and scared they started crafting weapons more proactively and training their people to use them as well as use their magics for combat in defense against these foes. Being relatively weak they seemed to be beaten back rather easily for the most part, not taking much effort at all for the people to conquer save for surprise attacks and the occasional night raid by the monsters. Bar a few setbacks the people continue to grow and prosper with ease. 200 Before Magera Stronger monsters have started appearing, quicker and more numerous. Civilizations are forced to start training its people into an organized military branch to guard their cities at all times of the night, no longer is simply training civilians how to fight an option. Major losses during the time it took to train ranks to fight against the monsters, though after the formation of the armies life resumed it's rather average and natural pace.

War. The people of Sanar fight tooth and nail against the vicious monster hordes. Where they came from no one is certain, what's causing their rise in strength and number? No one is certain yet there are rumors of a more powerful monster or even a mage commanding the hordes to claim the lands for themselves. What they could possibly gain from doing so is unclear, the idea of such a thing hearsay at best. Much of the males are indoctrinated into the local regime as soon as they're 16 and complete vigorous training. For the first time in recorded history the people are scared, the future looks bleak. The only thoughts on every single beings' mind is survival and what must be sacrificed to achieve it.

Rise of Magera

For quite some time it looked as if life on Sanar would be quickly wiped out by the monsters. Most cities were wiped out or forced to disband in-favor of forming much larger and more well-fortified city states. Countless lives have been lost, many fallen returned to the battlefield as undead abominations controlled by Liches and Warlocks. Nearly every life lost is another added to the enemies ranks. Only five strongholds out of the vast civilization remain, many vastly crowded and overpopulated, running out of basic food and supplies. It's only a matter of time until civilization is snuffed out on a whole. Those that remain cling to life, cherishing what little remains that they can grasp onto. When all seemed lost the rulers of each stronghold were surprised to hear news of a simple group of six powerful people razing the monsters to the ground like mere insects. They alone that seemed to appear out of no where like gods were turning back the war. The citizens held out hope that these rumors were true and not mere fallacy, that they actually stood a chance. Little by little the unholy cries of the legions of monsters began growing silent, until finally they were forced to retreat back to wherever it was they came from. This task was no small feat, even for the group that would later be known as the Magera. The monster horde had grown immeasurably, it took ten long years for them to be beaten back to the point it was safe for the rest of the civilization to join the fight.

Even then it took another ten until everything was finally peaceful, until they were finally allowed time to rebuild. With the Magera's help this was easy, each taking up command of a remaining stronghold across the land. Though by the end of the war and during the rebuilding phase one of the six seemingly disappeared, presumed dead by most during the intense conflict though a body was never heard nor were any traces found. Rebuilding was luckily a moderately easy task, the Magera showing them incredibly advanced magitek; at-least as far as their tech levels were concerned.

It took a long time, but finally. Finally civilization has been rebuilt. Bigger and better than before. The citizens with the help of their saviors are able to enjoy a peaceful life, one they certainly deserve after the hardships they were forced to endure. Advanced magitek is common place now, built, traded, sold. An entire standard economical system has been set into place to help regulate items better. The monster threat is kept at an all time low, primarily by bands of adventurer guilds who take out jobs to hunt down monsters for money or simply do it to keep their people safe to not bring about the horrors of past years. The towns still have their own militaries though much smaller than before, seeing as there really wasn't any need for them. Life would continue like this for quite some time, the people happy and content. Finally, peace reigned once more.
