Fandom Leaving Alpha

Restful

Just Me
qgG5tVQ.gif

The world was at its end days, destined to be destroyed by nuclear war. The remaining people created a giant space station, calling it Alpha. Through intense genetic screening the creators of Alpha sent those people to live on it, hoping to save the human race. On Alpha any crime no matter how big or small is punishable by death if you are 18 and older. Anyone younger will be held in prison and then put to trial to see if your crime is forgivable or not. Flash forward 100 years Alpha is coming to its end, the oxygen will run out in exactly one year's time and no one knows if Earth is livable. The current leader of Alpha has no way to fix the situation, so he along with his council make a decision. They send the juvenile prisoners down to Earth to see if it is they can survive. Little did they know all that was in store for them.

Delancey Finley Krew

The girl who was once so full of life, the girl who used to dance down the station hallways, the girl who sang with no cares and loved with her whole heart hadn't been seen in almost a year. She was locked away in a cell, and her once life filled eyes were dark and dull whenever someone visited, a smile never dancing upon her lips. That girl was Delancey. She knew more than anyone else locked up around her that she would never make it out of this alive. She had found the truth, and even her parents would silence her at all costs.

---

Delancey woke to her cell opening and a guard rushing in, pulling her up from her cot and against the walls. She didn't bother talking to the guard, she hadn't spoken a word since she was sentenced there, and she wouldn't start now. Delancey did wonder though what was going on. She could hear commotion from all the cells in the prisons, so it wasn't just her getting rounded up. The guard wraps a blindfold over her eyes and pushes her forward, the girl stumbling about without her sight. "This will be quick if you just do as you are said." The guard shoves her again for a good measure, but holds her up from falling.

It was quick walk to their destination, doors sliding open and closed behind them every once in awhile. Delancey is shoved into a seat and buckled in her blindfold ripped off of her. Around her there were kids her age and younger being forced to do the same, some of them even trying to resist and fight back only to get knocked out. It was a strange situation one that Delancey took in silently.

As a few more kids are shoved on and buckled in the guards move out in a haste, and as the doors are being closed to what Delancey has decided is a shuttle a smoke canister is thrown in, causing her and those around her to quickly nod off.

When she awakens her life is forever altered. She and all the rest of them were all on Earth. There landing didn't go as smoothly as planned and they crashed into a forest, shaking, rolling and destroying things in its path. When Delancey opens her eyes, not all are alright. There is blood everywhere, some kids dead and others close to it. Trying to unbuckle herself as fast as she can, she finally stumbles out, running into someone near her. She isn't the first to the door, nor the last. Standing at the bottom of the ramp that opened with the doors she stares at her surroundings, blue sky shinning down upon them all.

Xavier Trenton

Prison wasn't the life for a spoiled boy, and for the two months he had been held he fought with everything he could. Even when he wasn't around someone to fight with, he was working on getting stronger, working on being better. He knew that when his eighteenth birthday came around he would be pardoned and he would live free again. Or so he thought. What he didn't expect was to be shoved onto the shuttle with a hundred other kids and sent down to Earth.

When the shuttle crashes down, Xavier jerks to being awaken just as something shatters through the shuttle decapitating the kid beside him.

Letting out a choked scream, he hardly waits for the shuttle to stop before unbuckling and jumping up. He needed out, he needed to see what his father was thinking. Slamming the open button he drops out of the still opening door, his eyes crazed as he takes in the new surroundings. "What is going on?" The boy demands, as if anyone else has the answers.

"We are on Earth." Comes the rather hoarse, yet soft reply from a girl Xavier knew well and had grown up with.

"What do you mean Delancey? How are we on Earth?" The blonde girl looks around, then slightly narrows her eyes as if she was angry which startled Xavier. He had never seen her angry, not once in his life.

"Exactly what I said. We are on Earth."

Seoul to say the least had a strange view on prison life he found it serene, to him it was nice and simple he was fed, watered and alive sure it wasn't living a full and prosperous life but it wasn't the worst thing that could happen. Seoul was always an early riser truth be told he hated sleeping who knew if he would get out of this cell alive chances are he wouldn't. He spent most his time exercising making the most out of his incarceration.

As Seoul began his usual workout routine something unexpected happened, the doors to his cell opened flicking his head up and looking at it guards stood by it before forcing him up and pushing him against the wall. Truth be told if they just asked Seoul would have listened who knows maybe good behavior would end up saving him. Many thoughts ran through Seoul's mind, did the age of floating change was it now younger was this it his measly going to end now. Seoul thought about fighting back but in the end he just let whatever was going to happen happen.

Seoul was blindfolded and walked down an isle doors opening and shutting around him form the noise he wasn't the only one walking down. As Seoul was forced into a seat and buckled in more questions floated in his head especially when the blindfold was removed, it was just him but others younger around him. He watched as more people were brought in and when the guards finally left they threw in a smoke canister and soon after Seoul dozed off.

Seoul awoke just before the crash fully happened, he witnessed most of it. Thankfully he made it out uninjured the people on either side of him however didn't, their blood covered one of his eyes rendering him unable to fully see, no words came out of his mouth whether it was because of the fear of what just happened or the fact that whatever he said wouldn't matter he didn't know.

Seoul just sat and watched as others began waking up, shocked and sacred most trying their best to get out. Seoul finally unbuckled himself and rose to his feet only to almost fall down he was heavily disoriented, pulling himself back up using the seat he was forced on he made his way to the exit. Outside it seemed most people had gathered come were conversing but he only caught a small bit of the conversation which just left him confused. "We are on earth."

The words rang in his head over and over, how?, why? those we're the two questions that he wanted to know. Seoul finally pulled himself full from the wreck and made his way down the ramp. Seoul looked around taking in everything around him. Seoul decided to keep to himself for now moving away from the wreck he took a seat on the ground and stared at the sky to say the least it was beautiful.

Quinn

Quinn had been dead asleep when the Guard opened her cell doors and demanded she stand at the wall. Ever since being imprisoned she had slept and woke at off hours, unable to tell what was day and what was night; she had taken to just sleeping when she felt the need. The remainder of her time was split equally between pacing in boredom and fretting as to what had happened to Bryce. She had managed to leverage information from a Guard only to find her mother had died. The man even had the audacity to ask her if she regretted her actions now, that they had clearly been a waste. Of course she didn't, which she had defiantly told him. Regardless of the fact that her actions hadn't saved her mother, she would have done them all over again even if she knew the results. She had to do something to try and save her, even if the Council refused.

"Get up and to the wall. Now." The Guard demanded a second time though he wasn't waiting any longer for her to dally, coming to the bed side he grabbed her by the wrists and dragged her to feet. She bit her lip to keep from yelling: she knew some of them enjoyed knowing they had hurt her. He shoved her to the wall and she complied, pressing her hands against the cool surface. This was the day. She thought sadly. Unexpectedly she was blindfolded and hauled from the cell into the hall. She could hear people, lots of people, all walking. Hushed voices and Guards telling other inmates to be silent.

The blindfold was removed and she blinked in surprise finding herself and many others strapped into seats. She wasn't about to wait to find out what they were going to do with them, she intended on fighting, on living. She immediately started to fight with her constraints, wanting to free herself when a canister clunked into the room, white smoke hissing from it, clouding the room and shutting down any of her hopes to freedom.

Quinn woke after the crash, hearing voices and movement around here. Some sort of commotion stirred her from her slumber. She frowned and blinked, trying to recall what exactly had occurred when she caught sight of Bryce a few rows over, slumped over in his chair still unconscious. "Bry!" She yelled, once more fighting with her straps, eventually freeing herself to unsteady feet she fought her way through the crowd of other inmates exiting the drop-ship to get to her brother. "Bry." She shook his shoulders, attempting to wake him up.

Bryce

Bryce had heard the noise and protest long before the Guards had entered his cell. He had stood, waiting, by the wall, as was the routine anytime the Guards entered his cell. He intended to prove to the Chancellor and Council that he was the law abiding citizen he was previously. Though he wouldn't renounce his sisters actions, if he had been in the same position, he would have done the same. He had plead guilty to his charges, even the ones he had not committed, with the statement that he had been under duress. Why else would he have done what he did? To what end? Hiding his sister on Alpha would only last for so long, there was no escape from the place.

He was blindfolded and lead into the hall but as he stepped clear the was jostled by another inmate, his blindfold falling clear. He could see the remainder of the cell blocks being emptied, other child inmates like himself being lead all to the same place. Then he saw her, he saw Quinn. Bryce was ever the large child, always bigger than his age by far, often mistaken for and adult for most of his teenage years. Even now he was taller and larger than the Guards that lead him. He always wanted to be the Gentle Giant Q always called him, but seeing her, blindfolded and lead to what he could only assume was slaughter changed something within him.

He pulled away from the Guard holding his arm, shoving the smaller man down before turning to try and force his way towards his sister. An arm caught him from behind and he turned and swung without thinking. Fist connected with jaw sending spittle and blood spraying across white walls. The Guard released him, but two more were on him. Bryce fought, drawing more attention and more Guards to himself until finally one Guard pulled out his shock baton and delivered a volt to the back of his neck, rendering him unconscious.

Bryce woke hearing his name being called. His head throbbed and for the first few minutes he simply stared into the face of his sister, confused. He regained motor control in fits and starts, grey eyes watching her pull off his seat belt and freeing him from the seat. "Quinn." He pulled his twin into his arms and hugged her fiercely. "What happened?" What she said next he certainly did not expect.

"We're on Earth."

Noctis
Tapping against the wall in a mindless rythmn Noctis attempted to distract himself from his racing thoughts. Prison was hell for someone with ADHD. If he wasn't constantly worried about his fate, or his sisters, then he would find himself pacing and trying to use up any of the energy that buzzed within him. Even his sleep wasn't restful. He twisted and turned from his nightmares. Ones of being floated. One's of his sister being attacked. One's of his parents death's. It had only been a few weeks but he felt like he was going crazy. Sometimes he would go to the door and shout at passing guards just to talk to someone. The feeling of electricity shocking him as they silenced him was becoming intimately more familiar.
Humming under his breath he set his forehead against the cool cement eyes clenching tight. Don't think. Don't think. Don't think. Sudden sounds came into his cell, people fighting, pulling him away from his dark thoughts. Curious, he stood ready to approach the door and try to get a glimpse of who it was. Rather it was someone about to get floated or a newbie. He never made it. The door swung open allowing him in. Seeing the face, bruised as it was, of the man he caught hurting his sister as he smiled he felt rage hit him. Snarling he willingly stepped into the man's trap as he lunged at him ready to send the man back to the med bay or the grave. If I kill him he can't hurt her when I'm gone. She'll be safe.
He screamed as he collapsed mid-lung. Electricity coursing through him. Clenching his teeth together as he ignored the pain he lunged once more. Caring little for the arrival of more guards. One stopped him, hitting him across the head with the butt of his gun. His body slumped to the ground, unconscious.
"Take the vermin away," Sargent Jac-ri ordered once it was clear the teen wasn't getting up again. He watched satisfied as the boy was dragged away, no longer his problem. The boy would die on earth. Of that he had no doubt, and his sister would be up for the taking.
Noctis jerked awake as his body was slammed around, the ship was landing, and found himself buckled into a seat surrounded by others. Eyes narrowing he unbuckled the straps holding him and slowly stood. Testing his weak legs. They held. Taking a deep breath he looked around. "Where are we? What is this?"

Dylan Reese

The commotion outside of Dylan Reese's cell was something he'd never heard before. Usually, the only sounds were when someone was coming or going but right now it sounded like a mass hurding. His eyes narrowed when the door to his cell opened and guards marched through. Were they finally going to float all of us?

"Against the wall!" A guard said.

With hands raised, Dylan walked to the back wall so the guards could do their thing. They cuffed and blindfolded him. "Is this really necessary?"

"Shut up, Reese." The guards hand was on his shoulder and pushed him in the direction he wanted. He shut his mouth as he was blindly led to his death. A door slide open and he was pushed inside. As he walked, the guard suddenly grabbed his arm and pushed him down. Into a chair, he guessed. There was someone beside him who was squirming way too much. He was buckled into the seat before the blindfold was removed. The guards were at the door and a cannister was being thrown inside. The doors shut. The smoke invaded the room. Dylan resisted the urge to breath but living got the better of him and he opened his mouth to suck in a huge gasp of air and whatever was in the cannister. His brain was foggy. What was happening? He drifted off.

The crash landing startled Dylan awake. His head hurt from hitting it hard on the seat. He undid his seatbelt and stood. What else was he going to do but follow the others out? The others were all asking the same question, where are we? As he stepped out of the shuttle he realized they weren't on Alpha anymore. He ran a hand through his loose hair as he took in the landscape around them. "Unbelievable."

While the other kids meandered about, Dylan decided to explore. It might be dangerous but it would give him more insight about what they were dealing with. He took off for the woods.

Delancey Krew

As others began to exit their craft a gust of wind blows through, causing Delancey's hair to flow out behind her. Closing her eyes she takes in a deep breath, feeling a connection with Earth. The oxygen here was much lighter, it didn't have the strange taste it did when on Alpha. The wind is gone as soon as it arrived and Delancey's critical eyes are once again open and scanning the area around them. For the most part everyone seems to be amazed, some even are jumping around in joy, making strange noises with their mouths. Delancey thought it was disgusting. They didn't see this as them being a test subject, but a source of freedom.

"Prisoners of ARK, here me now!" A voice calls from inside the craft, causing the girl to turn and look behind her. On a screen that was partially hanging down from the second floor shows a recording of the chancellor. "You have been given a second chance at life! We have dropped some supplies at the bottom of the mountain Pike that should only be a thirty minute walk from where you have landed. Inserted into your wrists have been tracking monitors for us to track your vitals. Live and prosper! Chancellor Trenton." The screen flashes black and unease settles in Delancey's stomach. As she turns around looking, the only mountain in sight is very far away.

Even as more kids stumble out of the craft, Delancey pushes her way inside through them, almost wild. The bottom part of the craft was seats for the people coming down, but there was a ladder leading up. Climbing the ladder quickly a box falls into her sights and she lifts the lid open. Inside is a map and a compass and other survival things, like a backpack, water and dried food.

Grabbing the map first she lays it out in front of her then grabs the compass reading the map easily. Something useful her mother taught her when she was very young, when Delancey's dreams were still filled with art and life.

Trailing her finger across the map she lets out a soft curse, closing her eyes. "I'll take that as bad news." Comes a male voice, a too familiar male voice.

"Yes, it is exactly bad news." She glares at Xavier, hate building up inside of her. "They over shot us by a lot, we are almost a hundred miles away from mountain Pike. Do you know how long it will take us to get there?" Delancey closes her eyes once again trying to put a hold on her anger, now wasn't the time to lose it, she had to get these kids safe.

----

Xavier Trenton

Earth was bright and beautiful, everything he was told it was. The air was fresh, the ground soft under his feet, the colors so vibrant. He just wanted to run free like some of the others were doing. He would have too if he hadn't heard his father voice behind them. Some turn, some don't pay it any mind. The words from his father's voice seem to give everyone a chance at freedom, but Xavier is sure there is more to it. His father wasn't a fair man.

Catching Delancey pushing her way back in, he quickly follows her. When on Alpha he had always seen her as a dumb little girl with her head in the clouds, but he had to admit she was one of the smarter kids down here, she had the option to go into any career field, and it was all because of her skills no help from her parents.

It took Xavier a bit more to get inside and once he does, he can't see her. It takes him awhile to find the ladder and soon he is scaling it hoping to find her. As his head peaks over the edge he catches the end of Delancey's cuss word. "I'll take that as bad news." For some reason he finds his lips giving up a smirk at her, which she doesn't even seem to notice, which angers him. He was used to being noticed by everyone always, but never Delancey Krew.

""Yes, it is exactly bad news." Delancey glares at Xavier, which sends a shiver down his spine. This was a side he was not used to, what had their parents done to her? "They over shot us by a lot, we are almost a hundred miles away from mountain Pike. Do you know how long it will take us to get there?" Xavier does the math quickly in his head, and sucks in a deep breath.

"That will be a few days each way." Delancey is already nodding her head, shoving some bottles and food into the pack.

"We don't have enough stuff in there to take everyone." From the loud noises they are making down there he also adds on, "they also probably won't want to go." Delancey shrugs her shoulders and shoves the pack on.

"I know that. Me and you are going, we don't even know if the supplies are there. We need to find it and make sure the way is safe for everyone else." Xavier doesn't remember offering to go with, but he keeps his mouth shut.

Climbing back down the ladder Delancey is quick to follow, and soon they are back out into utter chaos. People are running around, climbing trees, making out. It was as if the Earth destroyed their senses. "What the fuck." He mutters shaking his head.

"Everyone!" Delancey calls out beside him. "The supplies are not anywhere near us. A small group of us need to go find them so we can secure them for everyone." Her voice carries to everyone, making most of them stop, it was if she was just a natural born leader.

"And why should you be in charge." A guy sneered as he walks up to her, grabbing her arm and pulling her down. It was a move of an animal, as if he should be in charge not her.

Noctis
Breathing in the fresh air Noctis looked around in slight wonder. This is earth? It's even more beautiful then I thought. They were all taught about earth of course but none had seen it in person. Looking around at all the kids shouting and celebrating he felt like joining them. The sound of the chancellors voice kept him.

Listening to it he noticed one thing. They were sent to have a second chance but how?How did those on Alpha know that it was livable? Did they send them down to die? They may still be in danger, if not from radiation, from anything that it left. Scowling at the thought he vowed that is they had planned to kill them, some of them children, in such a way that he wouldn't forgive them.

Mood ruined he headed for craft when two left. One a girl, Darcy or Nancy?, and Xavier the chancellors son. The girl began to speak and he knew she was right. They needed supplies. He was going to offer his services when guy grabbed her. Apparently not a fan of taking orders. Eyes narrowing he leapt forward, grabbing the guy, and threw him back into the craft. Forcing him to release his hold. "I'd watch those hands of yours. They could get you into trouble. Besides, if anyone is going to be in charge I'd rather it be someone with enough brain cells to fill more then their pinky. I.e, not you?"

Quinn

"We're on Earth, Bry!" She laughed with excitement, she danced away from her brother and back again, unable to control herself. "We're free!" Already there were people outside, she could hear the celebrations, the joy. No longer stuck on Alpha, no more imprisonment. She took Bryce's hand and gave it a squeeze. "Hurry up! Let's go!" But she wouldn't wait for him. She left, nearly skipping her way out the door to the shuttle and into the bright day light.

She had to pause and shield her eyes until they became accustomed to the new sensations. Any window's on Alpha were specially coated to prevent brightness and sun damage. She tiled her head back and basked in the light, loving the warm feeling of it on her face. Wind! Wind blew through the trees, catching her hair and blowing it about. Once more she was laugh as she pushed her hair from her face. She turned to watch others, children like herself and younger dancing and laughing, but what drew her attention were the flowers. She worked with the hydroponics on Alpha, but the plants grown there were neat and orderly, every part had a purpose and nothing was to waste. Surrounding them were plants, no order and all chaos and it was beautiful.

Quinn wandered from the front of the shuttle, heading towards the trees wanting to see more, learn everything she could.

Bryce

Bryce could only shake his head in dismay when he hear Quinn's excitement. "Q," He started calmly, watching her skip towards the doorway. "Wait!" but it was too late, she was already out of sight. He pushed himself up from his seat and watched the world spin around him. It forced him back down, closing his eyes and holding onto the arms of the chair until it ceased. Before he could leave again the Chancellors message played.

"Prisoners of ARK, here me now! You have been given a second chance at life! We have dropped some supplies at the bottom of the mountain Pike that should only be a thirty minute walk from where you have landed. Inserted into your wrists have been tracking monitors for us to track your vitals. Live and prosper! Chancellor Trenton."

"Son of a ..." Bryce was forcing himself up, making his way towards the shuttle's opening. He knew better, this wasn't a second chance: this was a life sentence. They weren't sent here as a reward, Alpha sent them here as test rats. Why else would they give them monitors? Why else would Alpha care if they lived or died?

He stepped out of the shuttle in time to watch boy grapple with one another, one pushing the other back into the shuttle. Normally he would have stepped between them, stopped the fight, but he needed to find Q. Down the ramp onto the grass he was searching for her, but to no avail. "Quinn! Where are you?"

Dylan Reese

Dylan had barely set foot into the woods when he heard a voice. The voice was far off and he couldn't really hear anything but for a light mumble. A broke branch alerted him to a girl walking not too far from him. Minutes later, Delancey exited the shuttle shouting about supplies not being near. He rolled his eyes. As if supplies would last them long. The real problem here was that they needed to know their surroundings. What the hell was around them? Radiation could have created all sorts of monsters in the years Alpha had left Earth.

Turning away from the shuttle, Dylan looked at the girl - what was her name? Q something - and began to walk further into the woods. He was curious by nature, crazy by genetics. Everything he passed, his hands automatically flew to touch. The soft and grainy combination of the soil, the rough and wrinkled bark of trees, and the plastic feeling the green leaves had. It was all a wonder.

Ebon Jacobson

Ebon was actually taking a nap, when he was awakened by being slammed into a wall by a guard. "Easy Jacobson, make this easy on us and it'll be easy on you!" the guard barked. Ebon just let out an exasperated sigh and didn't fight, he didn't want to, after all, this guard wasn't actually doing anything to him. In fact, then the guard slid a blindfold onto him, this nearly sent him into fight or flight reaction, except instead of forcing him into anything inappropriate, the guard lead him out of the cell, and he heard other's being lead from their cells as well.

His feet shuffled as he wasn't sure where to put his feet since he couldn't see, causing another guard, who he didn't realize had been there, to become impatient and push him forward roughly. "Stop shuffling around!" the guard barked. All Ebon could do was frown as he was then lead into a room and forced into a sitting position. He was disoriented momentarily as they suddenly pulled off his blindfold, but he saw that there were other's around him, having been gathered up. What was this? A mass floating?

But then there was gas, and nothing, as he was knocked out.

He came to, later than everyone else, he had always been a heavy sleeper, so no surprise there. He let out a started yelp seeing all the dead bodies and the blood. He quickly unbuckled himself, but stood carefully. He looked around, there were empty seats, which meant that there were still other survivors, but that wasn't his main concern, there was still one person in their seat, pass out, not from the gas, but because they were losing blood. A small wiry girl, who had taken shrapnel into her thigh. "HEY!" he hollered to anyone within hearing distance as he made his way over to the girl, applying pressure around the wound. He had spent some days with his mother in the medical bay, so he knew basic wound treatment. "HEY! SOMEONE HELP! THIS GIRL IS HURT, BUT NOT DEAD!!!" he called.

He looked the girl in the face, but she wasn't conscious.

Sorsha Bronson

Sorsha was attempting to sleep, but failing. She had insomnia, bad. Ever since being locked up she was worried about her mother, and how she was doing without any help, she was probably dead. She began to silently cry, just before a guard barged in, slamming her against the wall. She immediately began squirming, but the guard was able to easy wrap his arms around her entire body to stop her, as another guard came forward and slipped a blindfold over her eyes. "LET ME GO! YOU CAN'T FLOAT ME! I'M YOUNGER THAN 18!!!!" she screamed loudly as they literally carried the protesting girl into the hallway and out.

It took work for them to get the wiry girl into a seat and pulled off her blindfold. She gasped, taking in her surroundings, mere seconds before the gas canisters were thrown in and she passed out.

She came to as she felt something shoot into her leg and she let out a silent scream, but due to how small she was, she passed right back out, still suffering the effects of the gas. She then started to come to, to a man's voice calling for help, then she was barely aware someone put their hands on her leg, the hurt leg, it hurt, barely, she wasn't really sure, she couldn't think, what was happening? She rolled her head back so that she could look at the man between her eyelids that were heavier than she'd ever felt them. He gave her a reassuring smile while looking back to where she guessed was the exit of the shuttle.

Delancey Krew

Hatred bubbled in her stomach as the meaty hands of the guy grab her, pulling her against her will. She wasn't much of a physical fighter, so when a boy literally grabbed her attacker and threw him off of her Delancey was very grateful. Giving the boy a smile, she pushes a long lock of her hair out of her face, she shakes out the pain in her arm. "Thank you." She shoots Xavier a glare, not surprised he was no help to her.

"I do not want to lead." She turns to look at the guy now rising from where Noctis threw him. "I just want to survive, and I will do anything that it takes to do so." Swiftly turning away from him, she pulls the bag back up higher on her back, ready to move out.

Little did she know there was another delay that had to be addressed. Hearing the yelling inside the craft she turns and rushes back inside to where the girl was sitting bleeding out. Taking in the situation, and the sky outside Delancey lets out an exhausted sigh. She had to stay and take care of the girl, but they needed those supplies.

"You, go upstairs and get the first aid kit, it is strapped to the wall." Delancey addresses the boy that called them in there, before dropping to her knees and shoving off the jacket she was wearing. Pulling her hair up in a bun she shoves off her pack and grabs the girls leg lightly.

"Xavier I need you to take some people and find the supplies. Take the compass if you can't read the map, and just go due north. You will reach the mountain eventually." Behind her the noise of Xavier grabbing the backpack and pulling it up is all she can hear before he leaves without another word.

Smiling up at the girl, Delancey waits for the first aid kit. "Hello there. My name is Delancey Krew. You have nothing to worry about. I'll take care of you." Little did she know, Delancey actually meant this for everyone.

-----

Xavier Trenton

With Delancey's backpack on his back now, Xavier exits the craft staring at the kids playing around. "We need those supplies." He calls out to everyone. "I'm sure they have hunting equipment and water purifiers too so we won't die. You can either stay here, try to eat berries and maybe hunt if you can do that with no weapons. Or you can come with. I don't give a fuck whether any of you die or not." He doesn't wait for any responses, he just takes off. He wasn't here to keep anyone other than himself alive.

Quinn

Quinn was delighted to find plants she recognized among the fauna that grew naturally around where the drop ship crashed. Most of it remained intact and so she wandered, seemingly aimlessly, through the woods and plants picking and testing everything she could. She remained within eye sight of the drop ship, lest she become lost in the unknown woods. She wished she had her note book with her, so she could record her findings and draw the plants. There were so many and she didn't want to forget any of them.

As she traveled she was aware of some drama occurring at the ship, but given her tendency to remain away from such things, she continued with her own adventure. Eventually she found herself pulling off her soft jacket and starting to dig at plants she knew the uses for. Long willowy stalks and bristled tip, Kudzu -a broad leaf deep green plant that is entirely edible used for both anti-inflammatory and head ache reduction. Day Lily - a large orange flowered plant. Red Clovers. Chicory. It was an endless plethora of food just waiting to be had. No rations. No restrictions. She was in heaven.

Bryce

Bryce had lost sight of Quinn once she had exited the drop ship, and despite calling her name she did not return. He knew his sister was intelligent and capable; she wouldn't likely get herself into too much trouble, at least not more than she can handle, and so he gave up the search, for the moment. He was turning to the voice calling out.

"We need those supplies. I'm sure they have hunting equipment and water purifiers too so we won't die. You can either stay here, try to eat berries and maybe hunt if you can do that with no weapons. Or you can come with. I don't give a fuck whether any of you die or not."

"Pleasant." Bryce muttered to himself, but the kid wasn't wrong, they would need all the supplies they could get; they didn't know what to expect from this place really. He was approaching the boy talking, he recognized him as the chancellors son and found it rather odd that he ended up planet side with the rest of the delinquents. "I'll go with you," He offered, and, being the guy that he was, smiled and held out his hand in introduction. "Bryce Elliot."

His footsteps and breath quickened as something moved in the brush ahead of him. Dylan was excited and nervous at the same time. The bush came to his midsection and was covered in green leaves, too thick for him to see through. However, the leaves moved marginally from something pushing against them. A rough sniffing and snuffling noise was heard.

Suddenly, Dylan rushed the bush. His own safety left in the dust. Whatever was in the bush was alerted by his heavy footsteps. As Dylan pushed the leaves aside the animal, the boar, lept from the foliage, his tusks thrust at Dylan's midsection. A tusk abraded his skin as it ran past him. Falling to the ground his hand automatically went to his side. He was more fascinated with the pig than with his scratch. If there was one there had to be more. Alpha had to have sent weapons down with them. The mountain couldn't be the only thing they had to rely on. Hand on hip bone, Dylan retraced his steps back to the ship. He was going to find a weapon or make a weapon.

Quinn Elliot

She had collected what would be considered an incredibly feast, if they had been still upon Alpha Station when she heard the rustling and commotion some thirty feet away. It wasn't from the drop ship, something closer than than. She left the coat for the moment, standing up and brushing the dirt from her knees as she peered through the bush. There was a boy, someone from Alpha and it looked like he was wrestling something? No, he was avoiding something. What ever it was, seemed to knock him back before getting away from him. The animal, what ever it was, bounded her direction through the underbrush and shrubbery. She panicked, trying her damnedest to recall what they had taught in Earth Skills when being charged by a wild animal but all she could do was draw a blank.

She watched in horror as the boar broke from the bushes into the clearing where she shook, she gave out a shriek of fear and closed her eyes waiting to be mauled and torn apart and then.... nothing. After a minute she gathered the courage to open one grey eye, then the other, peering around herself cautiously. It was gone! The thing, the boar, now that she knew what it was, had been running from the boy and dashed past her to freedom. She was elated, but determined to find out what he thought he had been doing! She turned and gathered her coat bristling with foraged food. Clutching it to her chest she turned and chased down the boy who had been after the boar.

"Hey, you!" She called out to him and she started to catch up, giving a frown at she watched his awkward pace, his hand holding his hip. "What do you think you were doing? That thing could have killed you, killed me!"

On his way back to the shuttle Dylan heard someone following him. As he turned the girl launched an accusation at him. He started laughing and it turned into a smile. "But it didn't!" That's when he noticed she was gripping her coat to her chest and there was food in it. "You found something too. Good." He was glad to see he wasn't the only one worried about the now. Yes, they would need weapons from the mountain but who is to say that those things were still there or even functioning. They were putting their hope into a dream that could result in a disaster. Splitting up was not the best of ideas. Who knew what else was in these woods besides pigs.

He turned in the direction he was going before the girl interrupted him. "What I'm doing is going to find something to kill that pig."
