Leandra is albino, as is her twin brother, and she had crystalline blue eyes that easily make her stand out in a crowd. Almost always wearing her blue sweatshirt, Leandra normally pairs it with some jeans and simple, navy blue converse. While not pictured above, Leandra's eyes are hidden behind sunglasses nowadays and aren't the prettiest to look at anymore. After intensive surgery to try and repair them from the glass, the doctors were able to fix her eyes so that they aren't a torn mess. Alas, their blue color has changed to grey and if one were to really look at her eyes, they could see faint scar lines jaggedly crossing her eyes in a way that almost resembles broken glass.

Background: Growing up, Leandra led a relatively normal life. With a nurse for a mom and a psychiatrist for a dad, all Leandra wanted to do with her life was enter into the medical world and help save lives. Studious and intelligent, Leandra got straight A's through most of her schooling while taking honors classes and even AP classes once she got into high school. As she rose in the ranks of academia, Leandra found herself in line for the valedictorian academic title for her class.
All continued to go as planned for her, up until the accident. A sudden blizzard hit the city and Leandra's parents picked her and her siblings up at their school to bring them home. Living outside of the city and in a more mountainous region, the family soon was cresting a particularly dangerous road. Leandra's dad realized too late that they were going fast and sliding across the road. The last thing Leandra heard was a sickening crunch, glass shattering, and screams before she passed out.
When Leandra came to, she was in a hospital, as far as she could tell. A nurse had been stationed at her bed for when she woke up...because Leandra had lost her eyesight in the crash. When she'd heard the glass shattering in the accident, it had gone into both of her eyes, damaging them beyond repair. While she did not have any other sustaining injures, she'd never be able to see again.
Losing her vision seemed to cause Leandra's personality to do a complete one-eighty. Reverting from her extraverted and cheerful demeanor, Leandra became introverted and secluded over time. Her intent to eventually become a neurosurgeon had to be forgotten, as there was no chance of that if she could no longer see. A year later, Leandra had failing grades in school and dropped out before she graduated.
Personality: Originally, Leandra was extraverted, cheerful, kind, and all-around the nicest person you could ever meet. It seemed no matter how bad of a day someone was having, Leandra could get them to smile. Whenever she could make someone else happy, Leandra would be happy, too. Beyond her social life, Leandra was incredibly studious and would go to every help session available while also helping tutor younger students.
After the accident, Leandra's personality completely changed and she was never the same. Secluding herself and saying little to nothing, Leandra lost friends one after another, as she stopped talking to any of them. Her twin brother tried to reach out to her, but to no avail. Her dad recognized the telltale signs of PTSD and depression in his daughter and prescribed her medications, but Leandra would never be the same.

Like his sister, Manjano is albino, though he's retained his blue eyes through the car accident. The only scarring that Manjano received from the accident was a burn scar spanning his left arm from his wrist to his shoulder. He also has a few burn scars spotting his body in general, but none on his face and the scarred arm is the worst of them.

Background: While his sister was the studious type and worked hard in school, Manjano focused more on sports and training in his spare time outside of school. His grades were always lackluster, while his sport accolades shone brightly for him. Easily securing pictures of himself in the yearbook and quickly becoming one of the most popular in his grade, Manjano found life was going brilliantly for him.
While he and his twin didn't do a whole lot together since their interests were vastly different, the two still made sure to meet up once a week for coffee just to catch up.
When the accident occurred, Manjano was the first to awake in the car when he smelled smoke and gasoline, and realized that the car was readying to explode soon. Hastily, he'd climbed out of the car and dragged his parents and youngest sister to safety before returning to the car to save his twin sister next. Just as he thought he'd dragged Leandra to safety, the car exploded and the flames engulfed his left arm, which he'd raised to protect his face. While he managed to avoid harsh burns everywhere else on his body, there are a few notable scars here and there, with his arm being the worst of them. They ultimately had to use skin grafts in order to ensure it'd heal properly.
Manjano wears his blue sweatshirt everyday to try and hide the worst of his burn scars along with the rest of them, which is why he also wears khaki pants or a pair of jeans. The twins were gifted these sweatshirts one Christmas by their parents and have been wearing them ever since.
Feeling deeply guilt-ridden that he hadn't been able to get Leandra clear of the explosion, which was when the glass blinded her, Manjano fell into depression much like she did. But seeing how much Leandra was suffering, Manjano puts on a brave face nearly everyday in a vain effort to try and help her come back.
Just like he did for Leandra, Manjano's dad also prescribed him his own set of medications and their parents work extra hard each day to try and help their children recover. Their youngest sister was the least affected by all of it, as she survived with little injury and nobody ultimately died.
Personality: While his sister lost most of her original personality after the accident, Manjano's is mostly intact and he still trains hard for his sport. Driven and determined, Manjano is exceptional when it comes to pushing others and himself to keep going when there may seem like there's little hope left. He tries to be kind to everyone he meets since he does not know what they've been through in their own lives, but if someone pushes him enough then he will push back. Incredibly defensive of his sister, Manjano will easily take a bullet for her and stand up for her, as she typically avoids all confrontations and fears them now.
