Backstory:
Lauren wasn't always the shy type, the gal who never spoke with others and was never noticed. In fact she used to be outgoing and sociable. She's an only child and used to find it boring to be all alone at home all the time when she was younger, making her go out and play with her friends. Her parents have always cared for her and set her goals that she always reaches. Lauren used to always be outside in the sunshine and socialising. At least when she was still in primary school, when no one cared about what others were like.
When Lauren was twelve she and her family had to move to Bridgeport due to her father getting a new job there. She thought it would be great as there would be new people and everything, a whole new world to explore! Unfortunately the first school she went to in Bridgeport wasn't what she expected at all. People didn't appreciate her childishness or how she acted around everyone, and the kids in fact didn't like her butting into conversations whenever she wanted to or her sympathy for everyone. Lauren was surprised by the hostility of the people there, eventually becoming quieter and quieter.
At first Lauren didn't really mind being so quiet, it was a nice change of pace and she believed that people preferred her more this way. However as she continued on into the school year she noticed that everybody was ignoring her, pretending that she doesn't exist. She was always the last one to be picked in a group, the one that was left alone at lunch, the one that was never invited anywhere. Soon enough Lauren realised that nobody was appreciating her being at the school and once again changed schools to Bridgeport High.
By the time she moved to Bridgeport High she had completely lost her confidence in talking with others, always being paranoid of what others might think of her if she says the wrong thing. And so she gained the reputation of being socially awkward. All she hopes to do is to go through her school life without being the center of attention and without making herself look like a fool.
