"Scotland Forever"
This is a half-roleplay, half-character-development-game that used to be popular in the forums where I used to RP, so I'd like to share it here! Full details can be found on the info page, and the thread there is available to chat, ask questions, or make suggestions.
Basic roleplay rules apply. One thing that is specific to this roleplay is that I will be controlling Lao and the eggs as NPCs, and if anybody else creates an egg, they will have control of that egg/creature. This is a more casual set-up, so there's not a formal posting requirement, but more detail is appreciated as it helps me choose the right egg for your character and helps you learn more about them as well. Just no one-liners, please!

- Arrange for you or somebody else to create an egg or two to add. (Please note that, if you create both an egg and a humanoid character, your character may not become that creature's partner. They must be paired with another player's egg.)
- Place your name on a waiting list and let you know if a spot opens up (either through a week-long inactivity or a request to bow out)
- Allow you to participate as an NPC of some sort, such as another inhabitant of the island or the creature of a fallen human, for example.
- Allow you to help plan and implement non-player events, such as weather or player success/failure.
Please let me know which you are interested in!
The Eggs
Note: These are just the attributes of the eggs that the characters can notice. More details, including the type of creature and its history, will be revealed as the characters interact with them. This is to allow for an element of discovery and surprise, and to allow the eggs enough flexibility to adapt to the situation.
Egg 1 - In the first alcove, there is a tiny, glowing sphere. It appears to float above the stone and emits a light that cycles through various colors, though it is usually white. It hovers up and down, and sometimes darts around the alcove, though it can't leave it. It evokes different emotions in different individuals, but it often makes them feel full of peace and hope. Sometimes, however, it then causes feelings of fear and loneliness, and often a sense of betrayal.
Egg 2 - In the second, there is a large egg covered in blue scales and a dark ridge on the back, and soft tawny fur speckled with dark spots on the forward side. A muted sound emits from inside, though it is hard to hear. It is best described as the sound of many baying dogs.
Egg 3 - The third alcove contains a medium sized egg covered in a brownish grey hide. It is wet to the touch and is very cold. It smells of salt and fish. A faint voice can be heard floating from inside, it is hard to tell if it is wailing or singing. Which voice is heard is believed to have something to do with the person's impressions of the egg and state of mind, though gender may also have something to do with it.
