Danyren Kevaladal

Race: Half-Elf
Age: 29 Winters
No known aliases
Female

Personality: Reserved, but with a quiet confidence the seems at odds with her youthful appearance. Finds pleasure in the little things.

Class: Scout ranger

Background: Danyren was raised far to the north in a range of mountains known as Ered Nimrais, or more commonly, the White-Horn Mountains. For the first five years of her life, it was just her and her elven mother and human father scraping out an existence in that bleak, unforgiving environment. To this day, Danyren can vaguely remember her parents having a disagreement about why they were out there, so far from civilization. Her mother had been apologizing, saying it was her fault, and her father was trying to reassure her, unsuccessfully. Later she learned that her mother had been exiled from her nomadic clan for daring to fall in love with a human and conceiving his get. Danyren lost her mother to depression and illness when she was only five. Unwilling to leave the mountains where his love was lost, her father raised her there, passing on to her all his knowledge of woodscraft and hunting, both of them eventually living well on the furs they brought out of the mountain for trade.

Then seven years ago, just past her twenty-second winter, her father passed on to join his love in the beyond. Danyren, not wishing to live alone in the harsh landscape that had claimed both of her parents, loaded up her last bale of furs on their shaggy little pony and headed south. She bypassed the first few villages she came across, waiting for a town with a bigger market. After a month and a half of traveling, she finally came across one that would suit her needs, and after a fair bit of haggling, was able to agree on a price for the furs and pony. With that business transacted, and a hot meal and bath at one of the inns, she set out to look for work. She was not sure what she was looking for, exactly. She only knew she needed a purpose for her life. She found it as a scout in a well-known mercenary company, who, bless the goddess of the hunt, was recruiting there when she came through.

Danyren learned a lot during her time with them, some good and some bad. Most notably she learned falconry, and she and her falcon were eventually known as the best scout pair in the Company. Danyren gave them seven years of her life, good years though not without their difficulties, before the itch found her again, that itch to find more purpose for her life. Her destiny was more, she knew that, but she just didn't know what, only that she had to find it. Leaving the Company behind, Danyren set off once more, her falcon circling the sky above her.

Weapons: Yew longbow and arrows, three throwing knives, dagger

Personal Items: Her 3 yr old falcon, Sky Hunter. Traveling pack with basic necessities (large waterskin, firestarter, spices, salt, extra trousers, two extra shirts, three extra pair of stockings, leather treatment, whetstone), simple but well-crafted leather armor, dark green and brown cloak that can be shortened or lengthened depending on her need and has a removable fur liner for colder climates, leather and bronze arm band that she wears on her upper left arm (it had belonged to her mother), a signet ring of her father's that she wears on a thong around her neck (from when he was a mercenary).

Quirks: When hunting, she thanks the animal's spirit for its sacrifice, dipping her hand in their blood and putting a hand print on her draw arm. If she killed a foe in combat, and if circumstances allowed, she would find her enemy, dip a finger in their blood, and smear a line on her face while thanking their spirit for their strength.

Likes: Spicy food, candy, mead, spiced cider, the quiet of the moonlight, the excitement of the hunt, the fierce pleasure of a victory

Dislikes: Dishonesty, wastefulness, people who never stop talking

Magic: Currently no ability, but has been told she has some potential. Had not made it a priority, but will take opportunity if it arises

[Name] Ash Goro
[Age] 20
[Alias's] N/A
[Gender] Female
[Race] Elven

{DETAILED}

[Personality]
Fun Loving though she acts somewhat shy because she only really saw people on the sea. Acts more Human than elf because of being raised on an all human ship. Will always join friends for a swig of Ale. Is always excited to see another elf.

[Class: (come up with something lol)]
Swordsman

[Background]
Ash was born in the village of Hinto, along the Western coast of the continent of Kiro. Her family did not have any enemies or any reason to have people mad at them, but when Ash was 3 her village was raided by Pirates. 3 year old Ash cried as she couldn't find her mom or dad. As she was crying, one of the pirates heard her and carried her aboard, as he would not be able to live with himself for killing a kid. Ash was shown to the captain and was almost immediately adopted by him.

Ash was apart of the Pirate crew from then on. She could not do much as she was but a mere baby. As she grew up, she became more and more useful to the crew, and enjoyed her life amongst the Human pirates. They won battle after battle, but battles came with repairs. They didn't raid villages, but they did plunder ships. Ash was trained in the way of the sword at the age of 13 and the gun at 15. Though she loved her life, she always felt as though she was missing something. It felt like a hole inside of her was never filled.

At the age of 18, she decided it was time to venture out for herself. She cried as she left her pirate family for what seemed like the last time. Her Adoptive father gave her a gift he had held tight for years, ever since they found her. It was a cloak worn by her father. He explained everything that had happened with her real family. She had already guessed that was what happened but she already forgave him years ago. She took it onto herself and ventured off into the world, looking back ever now and then at her life of the sea.

[Weapon]
A cutlass and a flintlock pistol.

[Personal Items]
Her fathers Cloak that she wears, A knapsack full of different necessities (Extra Undergarments, Food, Water, whetstone, and ammo.)

Ale, A good fight, Exploring, A good tale, Music

{BASICS}

[Name] Jin Yun’an
[Age] 22
[Alias's]
[Gender] Male
[Race] Forest Spirit, from a family resembling large Muntjacs

{DETAILED}

[Personality]
Jin acts carefree and a little airheaded. He can be mischievous and tends to be an opportunist when in his favor. He makes friends and enemies easily because of his personality and how he conducts business. It takes him a while to truly get close to anyone. When close to somebody though, he is caring and deeply devoted. Jin wants to be useful to those he cares about, while not caring about many other people at all.
[Class: (come up with something lol]
Healer/mage
[Background]
Jin was born in a small village of ogres and nature spirits in far eastern mountains known as the Yun’an. Jin was born amongst a group of nature spirits which had healing abilities and whose forms resembled Muntjacs, deer, and humans. They were welcoming to other races and offered refuge for weary travellers.
Jin was born weak and sick, and even with the healing of Yun’an spirits, illnesses could not be healed. A western healer and mage known as Arych Balthamel came one day, looking for a place to stay in return for his services. Arych was brought to Jin, and the man gave Jins family a choice: to give Jin to him to raise so he could see a full life, or allow Jin to stay and die young.
Reluctantly they chose the former and Jin was taken in by the old man. As soon as Jin was old enough to walk, he was taught magic and did his part as an apprentice. In return, the old man treated Jin to keep him healthy as he grew. Jin’s magic was specific to nature, plant growth, and animal telepathy of sorts. Healing was the hardest for him to pick up, but he supported his caregiver until it was time for him to retire due to his old age and for Jin to travel in his place.
Arych left him with a story, told to him by his own predecessor, about the Lady of Worlds. Arych believed that he was upholding the world which the lady arrived to create, and though Jin was selfish and naive, he would one day realize this as well.
[Weapon]
None
[Personal Items]
Seeds of various herbs and fruits, water skin, his medicine, salves for topical wounds, his robes and other eclectic clothing he’s picked up through traveling
[Quirks]
He is a perpetual smiler, has a strange undefined accent, and loves alcohol but can’t handle it well. He has a habit of being touchy with people, or messing with them.
[Likes]
Sweet foods, comfy bedding, win, booze in general, men and women alike, cold weather, any and all animals
[Dislikes]
Spicy food, nosy people, hot weather, being alone, feeling weak, being ignored
[Magic]
-Plant manipulation, increased growth, and makes them move or grow to his will
-healing, closing wounds, mending bones, alleviating symptoms of illness (not curing), and rejuvenating people
-animal Telepathy, using his “third eye” to see through the eyes of any animal, while having small influence on its movements (the drawback is being “out of body”)
