Nation name:
Ornifaar

Pronunciation:
orn-if-are

Origin of name:
The name of the Nation was made in honor of a man by the name of Ornifarris.

Age:
TBA

Demonym:
Mel'dric

Titles/Motto:
None

Capital(s):

Northern Hemisphere- Nos Captul
Western Hemisphere- Wis Captul
Eastern Hemisphere- Ers Captul
Southern Hemisphere- Sut Captul

Major cities:
None, capitals work as major cities and economic Hubs.

Other places of significance:

Ornifarris' Temple- ancient building where the very first Ornitec was created. A common place of historic and religious value.

Technology and/or magic:

Ornitec- named after Ornifarris, Ornitec is the lifeblood of Mel'dric culture and life itself. It was found by Ornifarris and, as the legend goes, he dedicated his life to unlocking it's secrets and learning of how to recreate it. He was successful, and gave the world a new age for all Mel'dric people; a new physical form. Ornitec is much like a suit of armor, but, depending on the Ornitec type, is highly versatile and capable of most, if not any task. A Meld'ric must earn their Ornitec and, as they continue to grow as a Meld'ric citizen, they are given better Ornitec. Each level of Ornitect becomes stronger, faster, more durable...

first to last Ornitec attained:

Civilian:

Ornitec Nymph- The equivalent of being a small child.

Ornitec Sprite- the older brother of Nymph, shows progress of maturity.

Ornitec Imp- Shows growth and the start of adulthood.

Ornitec Griffon- The most common Ornitec. This symbolizes maturity and success in modern society.

Ornitec Elf- Symbolizes wisdom and strength within the mind and body. Most well respected.

Military: (Will give combat details within MILITARY)

Ornitec Basilisk- Infantry. The first Ornitec given to new recruits.

Ornitec Centaur- The line between new blood and veterans. Respected by Basilisks.

Ornitec Banshee- This Ornitec rank shows dedication and fearlessness. Few have it.

Ornitec Cerberus- The sentry. Highly respected and feared by even the higher ranks.

Ornitec Chimera- Housed by two Mel'dric (must be Elf level). The most respected Ornitec there is. And most advanced...

History:

When the nation was still divided, it was reluctantly agreed that there was only one way to win the debate of the best governmental system; war. The two systems of government devised plans on what would later be called 'War'. Once rules were agreed upon, a four year war ensued, taking the lives of roughly 100,000 people. (The population was 50 million at the time, none were civilian casualties)

Pre-history:
Centuries before the Mel'dric were considered sentient lifeforms, another race inhabited the planet. From the data scavenged from abandoned buildings, it was found that the first 'master race' was called 'Tachnons'. It was also found that a strange organism had begun to rapidly grow across the entire planet; one that quickly began to raise the Oxygen levels in the atmosphere (No data was found on what the organism was, but it's theorized that it was a plant). This would soon end up making the air toxic for the Tachnons, and forced them to find a new home. No data was recovered to prove that they were successful in finding a new home, but it is obvious that they were limited in what they could bring. Many different technologies and information was left behind; most was able to outlast the centuries of decay, like the Ornitec.

When the Mel'dric species began to flourish as an intelligent species, it was agreed that a system should be made to keep the species as it was. Balanced, safe, and lawful. The first system was much like a monarchy There was a single leader, who had many trusted men (Seekers) to go out and see what is happening throughout the growing nation (Meldrom- 5 B.O. Before Ornifarris) and come back to explain to the leader (Called a 'Law') what is happening within each individual area of the nation (from 1 B.O. to 30 B.O. the nation was split into four sections with multiple sub-sections. Sub-sections would grow over time and the four main sections would later become Capitals). The Law would then consult with his Seekers and other trusted sources on specific matters and work out the best plan of action for whatever may be needed for the specific part of the nations. (Each Seeker has a single informer in each Sub-section)

INHABITANTS
Race:

Without their Ornitec, the Mel'dric are small, week individuals. They do not age, but death comes at ease if left in harsh environments alone. Their average size is is two feet in length and one foot in width. they can levitate nearly five feet off the ground (one foot at birth), and have two legs, barely a foot in length, and two arms, roughly a foot and a half long with slender, long fingernails. Their skin color is tan or a dark brown sometimes and is usually smooth to the touch.

Mel'dric do not have any actual reproductive organs, but instead go through something called "Spawnphase". By the time they have been alive for 100 years, their bodies begin to accelerate cell production. This sometimes can end fatally, but in most cases, the Mel'dric will end up with a large bump somewhere on their body. Most commonly, they will pop up on their backs, closer to the neck. After a week or so, the bump will begin detaching itself from the host and, after one more week, burst open from the top, releasing the new Spawn. This process takes a total 2 months to complete, and only one spawn has ever come from a single host. Siblings do not exist. They are also an exact replica of their parent.
