Description
Krod is large, even for a Trandoshan, standing at a height of 7.5 feet. His eyes are a dark reddish-orange color and his scales are dark green. Krod's snout ends in a slightly squarish shape, unlike sone other Trandoshan's whise snouts are more pointed. His claws and teeth are both razor sharp, and he wears a dull orange flight suit.
Personality
From his years as a doctor, Krod has a surprisingly good bedside manner for a Trandoshan, which, unfortunately, isnt as impressive as it sounds when compared to, say, a human doctor. He is a relatively patient individual, unless the matter being discussed is of great importance to him. However, Krod can tend to be stubborn, sometimes refusing to change the way he thinks or feels even if he is wrong. Unlike most Trandoshans, Krod does not have a hatred of Wookies as he treated a few when he was a doctor. Krod has a normally calm demeanor, unless someone is threatening his friends. In such a case, said individual should be ready to receive the full extent of Krod's wrath. Despite all of Krod's good points, ever since Lars' death, he's been known to occasionaly lash out in unprovoked anger over trivial issues. Krod holds a particular hatred for those who kill others for money. Unfortunately, that includes himself, as deep down he hates what he has become, but copes by viewing it as a means to an end.
Background
Like many Trandoshans, Krod was born and raised on the Trandoshan home world of Trandosha. It was there that he learned what all young Trandoshans learn; how to hunt prey. As he grew older, Krod decided that he did not want to hunt his whole life during a particular hunting trip. On said trip, Krod happened upon a fellow Trandoshan. The Trandoshan had been wounded while hunting and was bleeding out. Krod tried to help, but his kinsman died in his arms. It was at that moment, when he held a lifeless fellow Trandoshan in his arms, that he decided that he wanted to save lives, not take them. He wanted to be a doctor. It was this decision that led him to leave Trandosha at the age of 15 and travel the galaxy learning how to be a doctor. Krod spent 10 years improving his poor Transdoshan dexterity, as well as learning and training to be a doctor.
At the age of 25, he finally acquired his dream. Krod worked as a traveling doctor for 6 years, bringing medical care to the inhabitants of various backwater planets. Over the years, Krod picked up a young human orphan who he made his apprentice and assistant, Lars Varchiss. Lars was 17 and Krod was 29 when they met. Krod loved Lars like a son for the 2 years they were together, until a fateful day on the planet of Selvaris.
Krod had left his makeshift hospital to travel to another town to buy additional medical supplies, leaving Lars in charge. While Krod was gone, a band of pirates swept through the town his hospital was, killing the inhabitants, looting the town, and destroying some buildings. One of these buildings that were destroyed was Krod's hospital. When Krod returned to the town, he ran to the site of where his hospital was to search for Lars. Among the wreckage, Krod was unable to find Lars, but he assumed that he was among the bodies that were too burnt and mangled to identify.
Krod left Selvaris with murder on the mind and anger in his heart. He left his life as a doctor behind him and became a bounty hunter in order to acquire funds and information for his revenge. After a job gone wrong, Krod found himself betrayed and stranded on Talos Station, the only things to his name being the clothes and weapons he had on him...
