Backstory:
Akira would have been a regular human, living in the normal town of Asakami. It had changed about 4 years ago, when there was a trip with her family to a city not too far. The trip seemed rather enjoyable, and the girl had gotten a taste what the 'real' urban life would be like, where there were huge shopping centres and entertainment centres. She felt rather fine at first on the way back, before… she had certain urges. Little did the girl know that she was being possessed by a malicious demon.
The change within her started with rather aggressive behaviour for the girl. Given that she was rather tomboyish, her parents had merely thought that she was reaching a rebellious phase. Akira was in a daze, at times she felt like she couldn't remember what she was doing earlier in the same day. Even though she had told her parents about it, her parents were rather angry with her recent behaviour at school. She wasn't just been additionally violent towards those she didn’t like, but even to her friends. In the past, this was always a problem within Akira's personality, but it had now been amplified when the demon possessing her.
About a week later, the events became more and more severe, to the point that Akira was suspended from school. Being cooped up and grounded hadn't done good in letting her reflect on herself. Her usual self felt the anger boiling within her and she couldn't remember anything. Other than she felt a little cold, except for her hands. Something warm was in her hands. She opened her eyes again, finding that she was at school, and it was already early evening. Right in front of her, she could see that it was about three kids. Two of them were lying down with pools of red flowing from their stomach, and was the same colour staining on her hands and scissors. The last kid who was only injured on a minor scale had rushed away to alert the adults.
It was then that the news had reached to a group of exorcists, or rather a family in their own town who were trained doctors. The demon that was possessing her had been taken out by an Aria immediately, and she was staying within the Tsujimoto family for the next several days. It was here that she had finally had an actual talk with Shun. Half-drowned in guilt for having her anger taking over herself, a hatred that started growing.
"I'll help you." Akira said to Shun. "I'll fight off the demons, and you'll help those people in trouble."
In their rather isolated town, Akira and Shun had limited experiences with actually dealing with demons. The hatred continued to be nurtured as Akira had heard stories about the cursed demons. To her, there was nothing more painful than being possessed, and there was nothing that was going to stop her from paying these demons back. Over the next few years, she and Shun trained in their raw physical abilities and some minor fundamentals in demons and exorcism. (It's not a lot though, so they'll still have to take from beginner classes to refresh their memory at True Cross Academy). Unlike Shun who aspires to be a doctor, she is considering about becoming a Dragoon, though she has only handled her kendo sword instead of any firearms. (I mean… teenagers aren't allowed to carry guns around or practice with them).
