Kingdom of Doredhel (Isles of Celebrant) ::

Wackadoodle0987

Arch-Magnate of the Beau Monde Patriciate
It's technically the Isles of Celebrant, but Doredhel is considered the main power among them, and thus will be the focus of the RP.

Name :: Doredhel, one among the three main isles of Celebrant. There are technically five inhabited islands, but the island of Mae Sul is considered a part of Udunnim (Empress Rhea's land); and Mae Revas is uninhabited by anything other than beasts, ruled by the great dragon Nogoth.

Age :: The Isles have been around long before they were first discovered. Originally travelled to by the elven lords of the northern kingdom of Silme Asea, and since the remaining islands have thus been inhabited over time. Doredhel, the human kingdom was founded by the Amarian line several thousand years ago (having travelled from the Eastern mainland of Amarin).

Type :: Originally a collection of smaller regions each ruled by their respective noble house, the Amarian's (the Amarian House in particular, as Amarian also refers to the race of all the noble houses that travelled from Amarin) managed to spread their influence over Doredhel, and take control of most of the island. Towards the end of the first age, the Thracquine Plague devastated most of the human population; but was still an opportunity for the other houses to expand their influence. House Dasak managed to oust House Amarian from the Northern and Western parts of the island and House Montclair reigned over most of the East, the South remaining lush woodland and vast grasslands containing only a few villages - still it is mostly wildland. House Dasak attempted war; however, House Montclair had managed to stave off the forces of House Dasak, and in time overpower them. Since, House Montclair has managed to entirely overthrow House Dasak, and now reign over both Ewhred Lin and High Guard, as well as many other smaller cities about the island. The humans of Doredhel are under the monarchy of House Montclair. However, the Dwarves of Lok Kadrin do not adhere to human laws, though the two live amicably beside each other. The other two islands have their own political regimes. The island of Mor-Ost is ruled by the Petilian Empire, with Rhea Petilia as the current Empress. The northern island of Silme Asea, though the largest city (Ellarvien) is ruled by Ellandil and Lleraya; is not actually ruled as a whole by anyone. Instead each of the regions, towns and villages is autonomous in its own right; mostly run by mutual appreciation and interest - the elves have proven themselves to be a more agreeable race than the humans in that regard.

Racial Profile :: Silme Asea is inhabited solely by elves, disregarding the wildlife of course. Udunnim is inhabited primarily by humans (of the Petilian Empire), but also has a prevalent elven community in the cities of Mor-Ost and Caran Arda. There is a single dwarven stronghold in Lank-Fenn on the smaller island of Mae Sul. Doredhel is inhabited primarily by humans (of the Amarian line), though as aforementioned there are other races on the island. The dwarven stronghold of Lok Kadrin in the North East, and both dwarves and elves are semi-prevalent in the cities of High Guard and Ewhred Lin.

Trades :: The islands trade amongst each other. Doredhel has proven to host a vast supply of natural resources, from plentiful deposits of ores and minerals in the mountain ranges, as well as varying species of tree and plant-life in the central and southern regions. The Montclairs' trade empire vastly overshadows that of the Petilian Empire, and they have favourable deals with both the elves and dwarves. House Montclair has essentially monopolised the Isles of Celebrant, hence why they are considered the ruling power on the isles; though as Mor-Ost is a central hub, and harbour for passing ships as well as trade into Udunnim; Empress Rhea Petilia benefits greatly from the merchantry, and thus still flourishes. The three islands are on agreeable terms, and trade is consistent with little reform or variation to avoid disagreements. Currently, resources remain plentiful, and the provinces have in place legal restrictions on how much they may harvest over time - though with the influence of Amelie Montclair, magic has become a more prevalent and renewable resource in the Isles.

Standing :: Currently neutral. Although they are complacent with one another, it cannot be denied that Empress Rhea Petilia resents the power of House Montclair, and their obvious influence over even her own empire. This results in some minor tension between the provinces, but is not enough to cause conflict.

Specifics :: Despite Ewhred Lin now being considered the capital of Doredhel, during the Amarian reign High Guard was the capital. Within the great walled city lies the White Spire, a grand tower and archive. It's considered a library, and is still used as the vault for the histories of the province. High Guard is also home to the Guild of Enchanters, which is in all respects a college of the arcane arts - and as its Arch-Sorceress, Amelie finds herself travelling between the cities quite often; having even begun research into possible teleportation methods that could be later applied around the nation for travelling and even trading purposes.

EDIT ::  Geography ::

- Silme Asea - The Northern-most of the islands, sitting just north-west of Mae Sul. Silme Asea has a mostly flat northern coast, though there are two peninsulars that jut out somewhat into the Malina-Amar (the ocean surrounding the north and east coast of Silme Asea). Along the eastern coast, a large cliff sticks out, on top of which sits the city of Lorfalas (though a coastal town, it's a long trek to actually reach the coast). Though the eastern coast tucks into the island, cutting into the island somewhat, where the city of Ellarvien sits. Before once more curving back out, becoming the south coast. The southern peninsula of Silme Asea is host to a small mountain range, though abruptly stops - just east of which lies a small uninhabited, mountainous island (believed to have once been connected to the mainland of Silme Asea). The western coast of the island is jagged, and a series of small, rocky islands litter the Asca-Aer (ocean surrounding the southern and eastern coasts).

- Udunnim. Firstly, the smaller island of Mae Sul, just south-east of Silme Asea, almost shaped like an upside down crooked, four-fingered hand, is the best way I can describe it. The northern coast of Mae Sul has a tiny mountain range, including the Dwarven kingdom of Lank-fenn. This mountain range is clue enough that Mae Sul also used to be a part of Silme Asea, possibly being connected to the southern mountain range of the island, though it has not been so for imaginably a very long time.

The main island of Udunnim, which is merely referred to as Udunnim, is east of Mae Sul, though its southern portion extends to just south of Mae Sul. The city of Mor-Ost sits just inland of the western coast. Though has expanded to have harbours along the coast, and has been encouragement for the upkeep of roads through the island. The island itself is an unremarkable shape, best described as a large sliver of land. East of Mor-Ost sits the desert, unnamed as naming it seemed unnecessary. It's the only desert on the island, and is barren for the most part. North of the desert, and north-east of Mor-Ost is the third largest city on the island, Raen Unque, and far east of that on the north-eastern peak of the island sits Caran Arda - the second largest.

- Doredhel is south of Udunnim, and is easily larger than both Udunnim and Silme Asea combined. For ease, and so I don't have to describe in detail each of the coasts, the island is probably best described as a very crude, diagonally-reversed downward facing capital 'E', though with two middle prongs. Basically, it's northern and eastern borders are fairly unremarkable, and the entirety of the underside of the island is formed of four large 'pronged' peninsulas. O.o

Nevermind... I managed to sort out the formatting. ^ ^ PS - No, I didn't make the map. I merely created the 'world' so to speak, but I grabbed a completely blank map from the internet somewhere that satisfied my imagination.
