Character Template & Applications
Instructions:

Read the guidelines before starting your character application. When you're ready, copy and past the template in the coding box at the bottom of this post. You may style the template as you see fit and add a few extras if you'd like to flesh out your character more as well. You may not remove any of the required character information I've included, however. In other words, don't skip over the birthday slot or anything else just because you don't feel like it. Once you've posted your character, wait for my approval. If I take longer than two days to review your character, send me a DM. Once they're accepted, I'll post here and tag you to let you know! Otherwise, I'll post or DM you to ask you questions/request you change something.

Character Template Guideline:

[Place an image here with a maximum width of 550, nothing larger]

Name: We only need the first name

HP: Health points determine how much damage you can take before fainting
MP: Magic points determine how often you can cast spells and which tiers are available to you
AP: Action points determine how often you can execute combat abilities and which tiers are available to you

FGP: Everyone starts at 1. Focus gauge points are handed out by the GM for feats of exceptional roleplay and/or accomplished quests. Points can then be used at anytime during the roleplay as a means to bribe the GM for permission to add a little extra oomph to an attack, recover health, find an item, or summon a miracle to save your hide.

(By default, each one of these stats begin at 1. Your are each given 3 points to distribute as you see fit at the beginning of character creation. More points will be given out throughout the roleplay or can be obtained through Support abilities.)

Age: Anywhere between 12 and 17 for Keyblade Wielders
Gender: --
Sexuality: --
Birthday: MM/DD

Height: --
Weight: --

World: Your are free to make your character from any Kingdom Hearts/Pixar/Disney/Final Fantasy setting. If the RP grows, I may expand this roster. You can also make your own world, so long as it keeps with the theme (think Twilight Town, Traverse Town or the Destiny Islands— nothing too crazy).
Species: Preferably human. But if you want to make a mermaid from Atlantis, a lion from Pride Rock, or a talking duck from Disney Castle, have at it. If you choose a species from a world that I might consider too overpowered or unreasonable for the roleplay for any reason, however, I reserve the right to deny it.

Personality: We expect at least two paragraphs, but welcome a maximum of five. Using proper grammar, convey both the strengths AND weaknesses of your character's disposition. Leave your character some room for growth and flaws to work out.

History: We expect at least two paragraphs, but welcome a maximum of five. Using proper grammar, tell us a little bit about their typical life followed by how they came to summon their keyblade in their home world. Here's the catch: at first, establish the beginning of that first journey and leave it open-ended. When the RP starts, we vote on our favorite and begin our journey there, assisting whichever keyblade wielder calls that world home. The rest of us flesh out the rest of our own personal origin stories afterward.

Keyblade Name: Choose a name for your keyblade that fits its theme/world
Description: Give us a short description of your keyblade in 1-5 sentences. Extra brownie points if you draw a visual image of it for us.
Skills: At character creation, you have two options for your keyblade. You can either start with a basic keyblade that offers no skills and no handicaps, in which case you leave this slot empty. Or you can choose to start off with one skill and one handicap at low tiers. (Ex. "increases strength, but has short range", "increases magic damage, but lowers guard", etc.) As always, I reserve the right to deny skills or request changes if need be. The ability to upgrade/customize your keyblade further will present itself in the roleplay eventually. Furthermore, you will be given access to a maximum of two additional keyblades from other worlds in the future.

(Concerning the following spells and abilities, each character is given 4 freebies to choose between spells and abilities collectively. Ex: a character may start with three abilities and one spell, or no spells at all and four abilities, etc.)

Known Spells: The number of spells your character knows (does not include stacks)

Spell Name - Spell Type (Offensive/Healing/Support) - Description

(Currently, you may only choose from canon spells across any of the Kingdom Hearts games. Their tier is determined by your MP level. Use common sense/good judgment when selecting your starter spells. I may ask you to downgrade or choose another spell if not. Offensive type refers to spells that primarily deal damage, even if they have side effects that might be considered support. Healing type refers to spells that recover HP or MP in any capacity. Support type refers to spells that enhance other stats such as Fire Boost or Thunder Screen, cause afflictions such as Sleep or Confuse, or effect the environment such as Zero Gravity or Slow. Your MP level (and enemy level, where applicable) directly ties into the effectiveness of any and all spells you cast.)

Known Abilities: The number of abilities your character knows (does not include stacks or Guard)

Ability Name - Ability Type (Action/Support/Growth) - Description

[*] Guard - Basic Type - Guard against an attack.

(Currently, you may only choose from canon abilities across any of the Kingdom Hearts games. You receive Guard as a freebie. The tier of your abilities is determined by your AP level. Use common sense/good judgment when selecting your starter abilities. I may ask you to downgrade or choose another ability if not. Action type refers to abilities that give your character new combat techniques and primarily deal damage. Support type refers to abilities that enhance your character's mobility or act as passives, such as Dodge Roll or Second Chance. Growth type refers to abilities that temporarily enhance your character's stats, such as HP Boost or Attack Haste. Your AP level (and enemy level, where applicable) directly ties into the effectiveness of any and all abilities you execute.

Acquired Summons: The number of summons your character has obtained. You are given one freebie from your home world at character creation, unless you want to save that freebie for a summon from a different world. You may then be granted a maximum of three as the roleplay progresses.

Summon Name - Summon World - Description

(Give us the name of the summon character you will be using and the world you're using them from. Your character will have had built a bond with this character in some manner prior to being able to summon them. Your summon acts as a special move you can use once per battle. Give us a description of what that looks like and what that does. The more creative, the better. Ex: "Shaggy summons Scooby-Doo and they initiate a groovy chase sequence with their enemies, ultimately ending with all those enemies being tied up in one big group by Scooby-Doo with rope. A large ghostly chandelier materializes above them, haunted by the spirits of ghosts. Scooby-Doo howls, begging for Scooby Snacks from Shaggy as the chandelier drops on top of the tied up enemies, dealing massive damage.")

HP: 2
MP: 1
AP: 3

FGP: 1

Age: 17
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Hetero
Birthday: 05/20

Height: 5'9"
Weight: 180 lbs

World: Santa Cecilia (Pixar's Coco)
Species: Human

Personality:

Although he’s certainly a little rough around the edges, Marco is always brimming with energy. He has a temper and, because of it, he can come off as kind of brash sometimes. He’s a loudmouth with a golden heart, who cares for his friends and loved ones above all else. But he’s certainly not afraid to call them out when they do something wrong or against their character. He knows he’s far from perfect, more so than most. But he tries his best to fix his wrongs and leave the world a better place than when he found it.

Perhaps Marco’s greatest fault is the fact that he sees the world too often in shades of black and white. He’s ruthless in his pursuit of evil men or women who threaten the livelihood, well-being, or sanity of his friends, family, and townsfolk. Where most would show mercy, Marco teeters on the edge of ruthlessness. Although he’s not fully aware of it, solitude is the worst thing that could happen to him. Left alone for too long, without companionship of any sort, and it becomes far too easy for him to fall down the slippery slope of darkness.

History:

Marco was born and raised in Santa Cecilia, Mexico. He was raised by his abuelita after his parents died in a terrible storm. One fateful afternoon during the Dia de los Muertos, while delivering groceries on his motorbike, he was attacked by strange creatures in a dark alleyway and passed out. The young man would awake hours later to find that his spirit had become detached from his body. Terrified, he rushed home to find his abuelita. He finds the apartment empty, remembering that she was likely at the cemetery paying homage to her husband, Marco’s parents, and the rest of their deceased family.

As Marco rushes to the cemetery to discover a solution to his affliction, he comes across a skeletal spirit being attacked by the same creatures that attacked him before. He jumps in to fight them off, inadvertently summoning a keyblade in the heat of the moment. After dispatching the creatures with this new and bizarre weapon, the skeletal spirit introduces himself as a man named Joaquin. He informs Marco that, in order to return to his body, he will need the blessing of a family member. As thanks for saving his spirit, Joaquin decides to help him reach the cemetery and fight off the strange creatures that are threatening the Land of the Dead.

Keyblade Name: Sugarskull
Description: A keyblade adorned with sugar skulls. It has colorful patterns reminiscent of a Dia de los Muertos festival.
Skills: Lands critical hits easier, but has short range.

Known Spells: 0

Spell Name - Spell Type (Offensive/Healing/Support) - Description

Known Abilities: 4

Dodge Roll - Growth type - Dive and roll to evade an attack.

Counterattack - Action type - Quickly counterattack a nearby enemy after a successful guard.

Combo Plus - Support type - Adds one additional stroke to your ground combo. Stack the ability for even longer ground combos.

Slapshot - Action type - Perform a wide uppercut slash with an increased chance of dealing a critical hit. Cannot be flung back if blocked or parried.

[*] Guard - Basic Type - Guard against an attack.

Acquired Summons: 1/3

Pepita - World: Santa Cecilia - An alebrije in the form of a winged jaguar with ram horns, eagle talons, and an iguana tail. Marco leaps up before summoning Pepita and riding upon her for a limited span of time. During this time, Pepita can rapidly swoop down to either pummel through their enemies with her ram horns, grab them with her talons and drop them from up high upon others, or spin her thick tail around to knock enemies away. Her finisher involves her targeting a single foe before diving down to pounce upon them, tearing them apart with her fangs.
