The 109th Fringe Kingdom on the outside of the Kingdom of Porter is in complete disarray. The ancient King, Knali, has mysteriously disappeared; and his wife and son were both found murdered, hung up by their necks in different rooms of the castle, covered in each others blood. Political differentiation between the four outlying Fringe Kingdoms will mean war if not negotiated correctly- and Samuel, the meek, complacent stand-in for the king, will probably bring the kingdom to war.
Luckily, he has a solution: Where there is no king or queen, make one. For the next two months, or as long as he can hold off peace negotiations between the warring states around him, Samuel will attempt to teach sixteen boys and sixteen girls how to rule, and how to survive.
