RELIGION MAP

(Please keep in mind that the white spots mean they are religions that don't need to be bothered to even care. However if you are making your own religion within those white spots please inform me.)


Major Religions


Camathism (Dark blue): In the year 600 A.D a group of mysterious people had traveled from a distant unknown place from the east and had come to spread the word of "GOD". According to what Camathism is, basically they believed that of course God created the earth, that it was the europeans who had the rightful claims to the world. It was their sworn duty to help other fellow Camathist believers to spread the word of him and smite those that are sinful or considered evil. At first it was not believable and no one really cared, until one Count named Orthomide II was somewhat intrigued by their teachings and decided to invite this small group of believers. They taught him how the lord spoke and bestowed them a holy task to spread the word and they even had 12 commandments which were:

     You shall have no other gods before Me.
     

• You shall not commit yourself to another faith but mine.
  

• You shall not make idols.
  

• You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
  

• Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
  

• Honor your father and your mother.
  

• You shall swear an oath to the one and true god.
  

• You shall not murder.
  

• You shall not commit adultery.
  

• You shall not steal.
  

• You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  

• You shall not covet.
  

All that at first seemed hard to of course follow and the count was somewhat hesitant to follow this religion considering about 5 of these commandments he already broke. However he was convinced by one of the followers that God knows of his current war with the northerners of the alps and that he would grant him victory if thy sworn an oath to him. The count again was hesitant but he knew that he was losing and at this point had nothing to lose, so he decided to embrace this religion and ordered his troops of 2,800 men to do the same. They all painted their armor with the symbol of hands of a cross with a halo above it. Alot of it seemed stupid to the troops and some even refused to even follow with this order since they believed a different minor religion. So the army marched under a grey and cloudy sky to meet their enemies at a massive plain where their enemy of 5,500 were awaiting them. This army was known for their brutal strength and their bold and daring leader Count Kiosp. The two readied their armies, rallied their troops, and thus commenced the battle. The battle at first was gruesome to Orthomide had believed all was truly lost, but then suddenly in the midst of battle the count watched above as a stray of light broke through the clouds and was pointing at the enemy. To him this was a sign. The enemy troops were suddenly blinded by this ray of light and raised their shields or arms. Orthomide saw this oppurunity and rallied his troops and threw himself into the front and yelled out. "GOD IS ON THY SIDE!!" The troops morale was suddenly boosted and they gave the enemy a new surge of energy. After 4 hours of fighting the Orthomide had lost 1,200 men, while Kiosp was killed and lost 3,130 men. All that were under kiosp simply fled after he was killed. The army of Orthomide ever since was a true believer and announced that "GOD" was the true one and that anyone who says otherwise will be smited by his sword. Since then until his death he has defeated many foes and converted them into Camathism until his death 638 A.D. The leader of this religion is Pope Izekial VII.


Mysain (Red): Known to be the oldest and still to this day the top religion in the world. They believe that there is no one god but in fact two gods. One was the Ijan the Sun God and Liosp the Goddess of the Moon. These two gods had created the earth and created the people living in the middle east. These people are solely devoted to this religion and would kill anyone who dared to bad mouth or disrespect their two gods. It is also said that seven children children were favored and created by these Gods, destined to rule the middle east and the world. However no one really has any proof that they are the sons of this so called legend and many clashes between the nations happened which resulted in thousands of deaths. However one man named Tyskian was born as farmer and never was religiou. All he had cared about was taking care of sickly father and two of his sisters, however his family was caught in the midst of a religious war over the true rulership of the middle east and his family was slaughtered. This caused Tyskian to be consumed with absolute rage and he had committed himself to one day kill the men that had brought ruin to not only his family but also to many other victims. So within 5 years Tyskian had gathered an army of merely 7,000 followers who had called themselves "Sons and Daughters of Ijan" these people were sick and tired of all these claim wars on the holy seat and decided to put an end to this. However this peasant army wasn't really the best well equipped and trained army and Tyskian knew this. However within those 5 years he had managed to befriend some commanders who also had been tired of the tug of war between the nations. Slowly more reliable allies had decided to help Tyskian and helped trained this small peasant army and transformed it into a somewhat decent army. However this still wasn't enough and Tyskian was known to have doubts and somewhat to cautious. But one day under a solar eclipse Tyskian had a heart attack and was presumed dead.Many of his followers saw this as a bad omen and were at the brink of splitting and abandoning this quest. But ten minutes after the solar eclipse was over, Tyskian had suddenly come back from the dead. He had proclaimed that Liosp had spoken to him and given him the holy task of leading his army to battle the largest army which happened to be Sultan Mmynion. His commanders claimed that it was completely insane and that an army of 7000 peasants with some training against an army of 20,000 well trained and skilled soldiers was the last thing he wanted to do. However he was dead set on this and decided to move on. As they set off to find the sultans army, his followers noticed that his personality had changed. He seemed more confident in his decision, wise, and fearless to anything. He had also visited small villages and towns and preached to them. Because of this word got out and spread like wildfire and people were suddenly flocking towards him. Even some deserters who used to fight under the sultans and other vassals had decided to join Tyskian in order to redeem themselves. Within three months he had an army of more than 29 thousand people. With this the commanders were more confident and ready to lead this army to fight the sultan. However other nations and vassals saw this rebel group as a huge threat to their ambitions and well didn't think they would be this big of a problem since they hadn't conducted any raidings and such. So the nations decided to band together and put down this rebel army and afterwards continue to kill each other. The two armies met each other about 10 miles from the city of Antioch. The battle was 29,000 against 88,000 troops, the rebels were frightened at the sight of this large and vast army. But Tyskian had a plan to stop and defeat this army. The battlefield had an ocean to the left and the mountains to the right, leading the opposing forces option to fight head on. Tyskian ordered his strongest troops to the sides while the weakest be in the middle. The commanders realized his strategy was based off and loved the idea. This battle would be a Tyskian victory as more then 10,000 rebels were killed while 43,000 of the opposing force had been lost. With this the Sultan and other leaders were captured and beheaded, he announced to his people that he was one of the true sons of Ijan and Liosp and that from here on out he would be the head of the religion. People throughout the land saw him as a true saint and that he was truly the son of the two gods. Other vassals and leaders saw this as ridicolous and would not accept. But when people started to rebel all over, this forced the leaders to accept him as the one true leader of the religion. With this Antioc is now considered the holy city and head of the Mysain religion.


Ulton (Grey):This religion is somewhat tricky as this religion is mostly practiced by the tribal factions in europe. The religion was originally taken place in what was known Norway and had slowly swept the north and into eastern europe. However while this was spreading many of the stories and lores of the gods which was originally suppose to have 10 major gods in which they are based off of elemental themes. However while this religion was spreading many decided that they weren't entirely true or they misinterpreted and changed it up. By the year 340 A.D there is supposedly recorded 28 different versions of the Ulton religion. But since their are so many claims no one can really proclaim that their is superior to the other. Thus some fight each other to prove who is right or simple to prove that their gods are truly showing their affection and strong faith. A few hundred years have passed and still no one has made it clear to who's religion or gods is the true one of Ulton. But by the year 723 A.D a Nordic viking warrior named Ryniak had taken upon the Sjvord kingdom in sweden. His oldest brother was suppose to take over but had died to a unknown disease and died two years after his reign. Thus Ryniak was crowned the supposed chieftain and has conquered his nearby neighbors and forcing them to join his true gods. His ambitions are feared by many and his skills are especially to be avoided.


Bamithism (Light blue): This is another religion similar to Camathism but instead of the Pope in charge it is but the King that is in charge of the religion. When Camathism was introduced to the british Island the lords and people were actually pretty satisfied with it. However one person was quite unsatisfied with the religion. A Queen named Bannien who had been married to a incompetent fool,she had wanted to have a divorce but the pope would not allow. To make matters worse many of the lords used the religion to their advantage to ruin Banniens reputation as ruler, saying that she was following a heresy and that she was sleeping with other men and other sinful things. This brought the hammer down and in 710 A.D she had assembled an army of 12,000 men and having a brother who was in charge of a viking mercenary company of 6,000. She had managed to conquer the entire island in 4 years and denounced the pope. She had changed many parts of the religion and founded her own. Stating that people could repent for the sins with a priest in private instead in front of a public crowd. People were allowed to have divorce if they wish to, and women were also given more power then ever before. When the current pope heard of this atrocity he demanded the fellow Camathism lords and other nations to reclaim the British island. They happily accepted in exchange for them to split the lands amongst them, the pope at first wasn't quite sure but decided to heck with it and accepted as long as they had delivered Bannien to him for trial. So the first actual crusade began but in utter humiliation. More then 49,000 soldiers were lost at sea in the beginning of the war till the end. The naval superiority of Queen Banniens navy was to much, this was thanks to her brother who she awarded after claiming the island gave him the position of king of scotland. His military genius in naval combat helped to keep any of the invaders out of the island and the first crusade for the island had ended after 2 years. Since then Bannien has proved that her religion was the righteous one to the people of hers and thus was able to even vassalize the tribal people in the known Ireland with no sign of resistance.


Zuyinna Heresy (Yellow): Originally the lands of north Africa and most of the Iberian territories were under the Mysain faith. However in the year 550 A.D, a young man named Illiospher who was a fellow follower of Mysain had seen that their practices were by far brutal and unfair. In fact he himself had witnessed hundreds of thousands of his fellow people who he would later become their preacher. Be butchered, hanged, and many more gruesome punishments for the sin they had committed was "not being true believers of the great Ijan and Liosp". Illiospher knew these people that were executed were innocent and realized that the sultans and lords were taking advantage of the religion by simple claiming certain large ethnic groups they didn't like and taking their valuables. This he would not tolerate and finally stated that he had enough. By the year 557 Illiosper had published a new testament that many were against the sultan's rule. In fact some of the religious ideologies were changed such as instead of a sun and moon god their were simple one god and 9 angels that had come down and created the earth. That these angels were the guardians of mankind. Many at first thought he was completely insane and even came close to marking him off as a heathen. However his soft and gentle preaching of pacifism had slowly paid off as piles of victim's corpse rises after an incident nicknamed "Blood sun riot" had occurred. Apparently in the in the city of alexandria a group of camathism foreigners had come to simple shop of exotic goods. One of them noticed a group of guardsman harassing some peasants and decided to step in. An argument occurred and the other camathism foreigners had come in to join the argument. Suddenly a bunch of other people who didn't like the sultans rule of Egypt started to join in. Suddenly in a matter of minutes the small argument had risen to an angry mob and the guards demanded them to disperse but it was by now to late. Suddenly a riot had begun and many guardsmen and soldiers who were stationed in the city were attacked. But the riot was put down and more than 800 egyptians died and including the foreigners. This sparked rage across northern Egypt to the point that all of the people of africa announced that they had enough. Soon a rebellion occurred and Illisopher took this opportunity to spread his new religion. Soon most of Africa was converted to the new religion named "Zuyinna" but to the Mysain they saw this as a heresy. Soon the religion was a success and the new kingdoms that emerged made it their official religion and pointing to the middle east to back off. Even the Iberian regions had heard of this new religion and found it more to their liking and thus most of the known today spain was under its influence. To this day the kingdoms under the Mysain religion have been attempting to reclaim the old lost holy lands but unfortunately with the protection of the Cathism faith their seemed no assurance of victory. The religion has no pope or religious leader, instead it is a democracy where 180 priest are laid in alexandria and discuss certain matters and decide on what matters need to be done. Then they ask permission of the lords and kings if they are permitted to whatever task. This has thus so far worked in the past few hundred years so far.


Minor Religions


Roummiryn Faith (Purple): Since the fall of the Empire many of the leaders fled to the greek city states that stayed loyal to the empire. The nation to the east was named the "Kyonstine Empire" which is named after Emperor Kynstim I. He and his people still believe in the old gods and traditional ways. They are the only ones who are still in this time of day advance in technology and have a mighty army. But with so many nations conquering them it is hard to keep their bearings. However a small group of religios people had proclaimed that the old gods would one day bestow this great Great empire with a mighty "GOD EMPEROR". The Emperor found it irritating and demanded that they were to be locked up. When the leader of this religious group was brought to the court he was seen smiling like an idiot and rather over joyed to see the Emperor. Kynstim was a bit confused and demanded what exactly his religion was. The man told him that he was shown a dream by the gods and that it had came true. The he would meet the Emperor Kynstim and that the empire would be saved if they had made in charge of the state of religion. The Emperor asked specifically again what his religion was, he answered stating that within five generation one of his bloodlines would become a "God" in which the gods above would show a sign. That so called God Emperor would reclaim the old empire and bring once again order. The Emperor was fascinated by this story but the other vassals and advisors found this to be idiocy speaking. But the Emperor reluctantly appointed him as the head of religion and thus the word was spread. Since then the people has been waiting for the coming five generations and thus it has come. In the year 739 a young boy named Basileus Victorn was shown to have talent. In fact he was found out be a genius, mastering mathematics, science, History, strategy, and philosophy. Many people now believe that the prophecy is becoming true while others still find this ludicrous and just coincidence, but that is soon to be tested.


Nopolin (Green): Coming from the Far East came an unexpected group of a pacifist religion. The leader and founder named Qwux was a man known for his wisdom pacifist teachings. He had traveled many parts of India and spreading the word of peace and balance. He had converted many and has been known as "Father of peace". Even mighty lords had sought to his teachings and never had the ambitions to conquer. However the other religion in the area named "Cuinism" saw this as a heresy needed to be smashed immidietly. Many of these followers would attack the neighboring Nopolin faith and kill thousands. These lords were furious and returned the favor of doing the same by not only killing their people but also ripping their lands to ruins. Qwux was saddened and for the first time in years angered by these actions. He invited all the high lords that followed his faith to a meeting and demanded them to stop killing he was returned with angry gestures. But Qwux was not going to back down and for many hours he had reminded them and bashed them with his teachings and using common sense and stating, "We have nothing but each other, if we succumb to our self destruction. Then we will be left with nothing but pain and suffering eating our hearts, our children will know nothing but hatred. Make peace not war. Make love and not hatred." After listening to him the lords had felt somewhat embarrassed and apologize for their ill temper and decided to make peace. In the year 677 A.D the two sides decided to to meet and negotiate. But everything went completely wrong when Qwux was murdered while giving out a small lecture to those in the meeting. He was shot with an arrow to the chest, his followers rushed to his aid and did everything they could. Before saying his last breath "Don't do it. His hands were pointing to several lords fighting the other lords who they accused of the assassination. Qwux then laid dead in the hands of his most faithful followers and from that day forward the followers of Nopolins would never forgive the Cunism followers and that they were enemies for life. Since then the two religious groups have been at constant war and many small factions and tribes have been annexed to join their righteous fights. The Nopolins have had better luck considering their very tolerant attitude and friendliness towards others. While the Cunism faction have been conquering others with their vast army.
