Kinds at War
The Great Golden Dragon created dragons, humans, and also werebeasts. The dragon were the good while the werebeasts were the evil, both were made to balance out the good and evil of the humans.
Dragons and Werebeasts have lived in a constant war with each other from the dawning of time. Always keeping the balance stable, every once in a while a human would be taken by a werebeast and changed. They became insane hideous creatures who could never take their human form again. Dragons would step in to clean the mess up, having failed in their mission to fully protect the humans. Some of the dragons fell in love with those they protected and hybrids were born into the world. They were shunned by the dragons and killed by the werebeast's for having the blood of both human and dragon.
The real question though, is when will this war come to an end....will the dragons win the battle for good. Will the werebeasts take over the world, or will the humans find out about the two creatures and fight for themselves.
