"So... In 1933, the National Socialist German Workers' Party came to power, Adolf Hitler was appointed chancellor, and so began Europe's descent into World War two..." The teacher rambled on and on about the same history he had taught he had taught for the past twelve years, a history that the students already knew. It was boring as watching paint dry.

Matthias' head was about to hit the desk, this whole class was a drag, everyone in here was boring, there wasn't anything remotely engaging. But what else was new? Honnouji Academy was supposed to be some sort of cutthroat academy where only the strong survive and the weak are cast by the wayside, what a joke. Matthias propped his notebook on his desk and pulled out his phone. Booting up the realtime strategy app, he saw the battlefield and soldiers pop into being on the screen. He prodded the little army into position, following a simple but infallible strategy. Move a division to the forest...advance down the center... archers take shots... advance... retreat... retreat... Forest division attacks from the side and rear... Pincer... Victory... It wasn't a particularly challenging opponent, but it was good for killing class time.

The door suddenly bursts open. Michi walks in with a smile on her face. "Sorry about the door teach" she said with a small giggle. "But wee have a situation on our hands" she then looked to the class as her one star followers filed into the classroom. "I am so sorry I am the one to come after this person.... But someone has stolen one of Madam Kenkimi's One star outfits" she said with a smile. "If you return it, I promise I will go easy on you.... If you resist.... Lets not get into that.." she giggled

Matthias looked up, Michi was one of the big four students that helped keep order on the school grounds and supervise the student population, if there really was a stolen uniform, there was going to be a lot of trouble. He started thinking about the other students, who had been acting less than bored today, who might be hiding the stolen uniform? His hand traced the Pawn piece in his pocket, the round head representing a rankless foot soldier, but such a piece could become as powerful as the queen if it made it all the way behind enemy lines. It would appear a Pawn had this very idea in stealing a uniform. Suddenly a smile broke out across his face, he had seen right through the strategy of the Pawn, and his gaze turned to the boy in the back row. Ichinose was on the verge of losing his One-Star Status, grades falling, no clubs, so he had turned traitor. Matthias stood up, raising his hand and reporting.

"Miss Michi, Matthias Von Tepes, Senior class 4-B One-Star, I have the identity of your thief. Ichinose has kept one hand on his bag the entire class, in addition he has been looking from the door to the window, and finally he has spoken many times about how 'disgusting' and 'unfair' this school is." He sat back down again. "Also he's been braced to bolt ever since you arrived, I suggest you restrain him or prepare to give chase, I doubt he'll stay for long."

Michi smiled. "Aww... Thank you Matthias..." she said with a giggle. "I will be sure to tell Madam Kenkimi how you helped.." she said as she walked towards Ichinose "So.... you are not willing to turn yourself in?" she ssaid as a small smile came across her face. "Ichinose Kia Micach..... you are on the verge of returning to the slums is that correct.." she said with a grin. "But because of your actions today.... You will not be returning to the slums..... or anywhere for that matter..." she said as she was about to pull her weapon out but the student took off after placing down what seemed like tear gas. He ran out the door and through the halls. He runs outside but Michi is there waiting for him. "Nice try.... but do you really think simple tear gas is going to affect someone wearing Madam Kenkimi's masterpiece design"s? she said with a giggle as a large cable came from her sleeve. "Now I have a final task for you as a student of Honnouji High School.... Put that suit on and fight me...." she said with a smile "if you somehow win.... you will be free to go.." she saidchuckling to herself

Matthias watched as Ichinose put on the experimental uniform, these new models appeared to add a little less raw muscle to the wearer in favor of a leaner, more speed-oriented build. Not that it would make much of difference against a three-star. He had never seen more than a one-star in action, his club didn't have a two-star uniform user, which was one of the many reasons they were always under threat of being disbanded. He took the opportunity of everyone being distracted by the pre-fight posturing to go through Ichinose's things. The remainder of his affects were mostly papers and other school objects; however, there was one odd object left over, a tablet computer. He recalled how Ichinose had sold his phone to make up his debt to him, some might have called gambling immoral, but here at the academy it was allowed. Ichinose had tried his hand in Poker and nearly lost everything, the game only ending when Matthias had refused to play another had against such a pathetic opponent.

Back to the computer, it was locked by a numeric key, nothing he could do there. He slipped the computer into his bag and made his way down to the courtyard where the fight was happening. There, Ichinose was unleashing a hail of fervent punches on the three-star. What a pain.

Michi just giggled as the traitor stopped to catch his breath "You know.... you are cute..." she said "You honestly think you had a chance..." she threw her cord and it wrapped around Ichinose's feet. She grabbed the other end as it came from her sleeve. "Against a three star Deave" she said as her eyes narrowed and she pulled the wire taunt. She flung the Traitor into all the various walls around them. She eventually stopped as she slammed him into the wall in front of them. She turns around with a giggle. "You all see that?" she said as she pointed to the bloodied and beaten up Ichinose, more than likely dead. "That is what happens when you betray the school, but more importantly when you betray Madame Kenkimi" she said as she brought her wire back with a flick of her wrist. As the wire came off of the body, it fell to the floor. Michi's wire went fully into her sleeve again. "Clean this mess up and get the Uniform to it's original status at once" she said to her followers which went to it at once. Michi walked over to Matthais. "May you come with me?" she asked as she held out her hand and a couple of boys stared.

The fight had lasted about as long as he had expected, the sheer power and versatility of the three-star uniform was incredible, he duly noted to avoid any sort of confrontation with these leaders of the school. Now that they fight was over, it was his intent to slip home in the chaos and spend the afternoon trying to crack the tablet computer. He had a friend on the internet who was good at breaking the sort of numeric code the tablet was sealed with, 1nam0u7a, he could probably get this thing open, then he could have some information to pay off these mad gods they called the Four Deaves. Matthias also noted to try and pick up one of those leaner uniforms, this model was so bulky.

His first note was thrown out the window when the elite came up to him and asked him to follow her with an extended hand. He knew a couple of students who were part of this elite's fan club, they wore bracelets of old phone charging cables to mark their membership. He supposed she was cute, but looks weren't a substantial judge of anything. His hand brushed the crowned head of the Queen piece, versatile, powerful, right hand to the King, the most dangerous of all pieces. Now forced to dispel the thoughts of his warm bed back home, he took out the tablet computer and placed it in her outstretched hand.

"Ichinose had this on him, he was barely able to support his own food budget," true, he wasn't able to live off more than instant noodles because of his Poker debt, but it wasn't a lie, "this might have evidence about his employers. I hope this is enough to clear me of suspicious, Miss Michi?"

Michi giggled "Thank you Matthias... But we already know who it is..." she said with a smile "Keep it" she said as she handed it back and grabbed his other hand. "I know someone who would like to thank you for finding their outfit." she giggled as she ran, with Matthias in tow, towards the Student council meeting room. "Good things come to those that help us" she said as they arrived at the doors to the hall. "I believe Madam Kenkimi has sent the others out to their respective club organizations. I will go to mine, and you are excused from any punishment for not being there" Mich said with a giggle "But this is an exception that will only happen once..." she said as she turned around. "Good luck." she said as she left

The doors opened and a man in a suit comes out. "Madam Kenkimi is ready for you" he said with a bow as he held the door open

Matthias thanked the man as he entered the room, it appeared to be an opulent space. There were many large couches and chairs placed about the room, each one looking more comfortable than the last. The amenities were no less enticing, it seemed each of the four had customized a part of the space with their own personalities, there were desks with computers, musical instruments, sports equipment, books, and other odds and ends that suggested personal hobbies. All of this was placed in a semicircle around a raised dais, on which the most opulent chair of all, the throne of Honnouji, sat.

Matthias traced the cross on the head of the King piece with his thumb, the King was the ultimate strategist, unable to throw himself into harm's way, but able to out maneuver lesser pieces. More importantly the King could employ any number of tactics to cut down a wayward foe while protecting himself. Matthias wouldn't relax until he could be sure that the student council wasn't about to kill him off as a dissenter, his little performance might have just destroyed him, he should have just stayed quiet and allowed Ichinose to show himself. If his sense of loyalty to the school was going to be what killed him, at least he had helped purge one true traitor before he left this life.

He kept looking around for the infamous Madam Kenkimi, the student council president had created this academy and made it a place where the strong survive and the weak are cast by the wayside. Up until this morning he had considered that a joke, but now he had been given the chance to use his skills of observation, and to see the power of the three-stars. He laid a hand over his heart, he hadn't noticed its hammering until now, but for the first time in forever he had something to be excited about.

Kenkimi turned around in her chair. "Ahh.... Matthias Von Tepes...." she said as she stood up. She had her sword on her side and sheathed. "I heard of your involvement with capturing the Traitor...." she said with a smile "And as you should know..... I reward people that help me..." she said as she motioned the man to come over "Would you like some tea?" she asked as she picked up a cup from the platter "It is fresh" she said as she sipped from her cup.

"Now.... I have heard your club has been in a situation of almost being disbanded.... is that right?" she asked

"Yes Ma'am, thank you." He hated tea, it was bitter and leafy, but it would be unwise to say such things in front of such a devoted tea drinker. Matthias sipped at the tea as if it were life itself, burning his tongue and throat, the pain at least disguised the flavor. "If I may be honest I had little to do with the capture, I simply noticed the culprit acting strange and reported it to the investigator. I am flattered that you consider me helpful." He took another scalding draught from the cup. "And it is true that my club has been threatened with disbandment several times, and other clubs have attempted to overtake our own, we lack two-star leadership."

Kenkimi chuckled a bit. She placed her tea cup down. "Well.... Since you are such a keen eye, I believe it would be very useful to have you on my side" she said as she walked towards the computer screens. "I believe you deserve the honor, if you may know where I am heading." she then twirls around and faces him. "I will not force this roll upon you, but you may become the clubs president if you wish. At least I am a very generous person and letting you choose" she said as she turned her back to him. "And also.... If you did not like the tea, you could have just asked for some water......" she said as she took a sip of hers. "I prefer this kind"

Matthias was shocked at this development, it was very rare for anyone to be promoted from the ranks of a club to the president unless they had managed to conquer another club or school. The president was certainly gracious in giving him this opportunity, though it wasn't a choice, there was one way forward, and if he were to deny it then he wouldn't get anywhere. "Thank you, Lady Kenkimi, I am forever in your debt, I will lead the Strategy Club to new heights and bring honor to Honnouji." he looked down at the tea "Not at all Ma'am, I love this tea! It's delicious!" He took another steaming gulp of the brew, not wanting to disappoint. Matthias felt his face flush with heat and the act of pushing the leafy lava down made his ears pop. Nearly gasping for breath he managed to say, "See? It's... Lovely. Thank you Lady Kenkimi."

Kenkimi chuckled a bit and grinned. "I am happy you accepted my offer... and I expect no less than what you just said." she said "Please.... report to Michi after class. She is your superior from this moment." she said "I will have the Sewing club work on your Ultima.... and please... do not force yourself to like the tea." she said with a sigh. "Now go on... also.....We will see if you are ready for new living arrangement" she then looked at him "And one finale thing.... Make sure all paperwork is to me by Friday every week. your first club presidents meeting is this coming Friday."

(I know the meetings are every morning at 8:30 but for the sake of the rp I think once a week rp time will do)

"Yes Ma'am, understood, I won't disappoint you." He downed the rest of the boiling tea and snapped a salute. "Thank you for the tea Lady Kenkimi, it was Wonderful." Having been dismissed, he left and went back to class, where, despite all that had happened, the lecture was right on track. With the same wonderfully creeping pace and drone of the professor.

"And so the Nazis, under the command of now Führer Adolf Hitler, made their advance across Belgium into Franzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..." Matthias' brain clocked out, the morning had taken more energy than he had expected, and missing this wasn't going to cost him anything on the next test.

When the bell finally rang Matthias lifted his head and checked the 'We will resume here:' marker on the board, it read 'The occupation of Paris'. Satisfied that he hadn't missed much of anything, he left the classroom to try to track down Michi. Evidently she was now the one who would give him orders, which meant that his afternoons would be spent running her errands rather than napping. Already this schedule was becoming a pain. He followed the map on his phone to the office which had "Technology and Tactical Clubs Chairperson" on the door. He gave a few raps on the door. "Hello? Miss Michi, this is Matthias, Class 4-B reporting."

Michi opened the door and giggled. "I had been expecting you Matthias.... The others have been told of your promotion" she said "Of course.... there is still one thing we need to do" she said with a smile as she sat on the desk and swayed her legs. "Well... two actually.... one is for you to understand that You and I will be seeing more of each other. I will be in the technology lab every Thursday if you need me..." she said and then went serious. "And second.... I am your boss, and anything I say goes.... this is my specialty and no one will show me up, got it?" she said a bit scarily.

Kenkimi sat down in her chair. The man walks up to her and pours her another glass of tea. "Is everything all right Ma'am?" He asked her. "Sorry Jenku.... It just feels odd today..." she said as she looked onto the moniters. "It feels as though we are going to have some trouble.." she said with her hands folded and her chin on the back of them. She had her hands on her sword.

Matthias straightened up as the door opened, he wasn't sure why the Chairwoman had such a tall desk that she could swing her legs off of it. Perhaps she enjoyed the feeling of appearing small and adorable while concealing her indomitable power. "Yes ma'am, I give you my word. Whatever you need of me, I'll make sure to have it done." He scratched the back of his head. "If I may ask, what exactly am I to do that would risk showing you up? I was under the impression that I was going to be running the strategic games club, am I to understand I have some duties beyond that?" It was never as simple as that, he should have suspected, apparently the events in class today would not be the end of things. He may have earned a promotion, but it seemed the peace of mind was much further off. Now he was to be subordinate to an elite with a distinct Napoleon Complex.

Michi giggled. "I am only joking... I do it to all new club presidents in my department..." she smiled. She then looked at him. "I always thought you would be the club president of this club." she said with a laugh. "How you are always on that phone of yours, playing that little strategic game of yours..." she said as she mimicked him playing on his phone. "It is entertaining.... truly...." she giggled in amusement. "Anyway.. your people are waiting for you Mr. club president, don't keep them waiting" she giggled as she left the office. "Madam Kenkimi needs me.."

Matthias relaxed a bit, it seemed that he wasn't as involved in that conspiracy as he thought. The chairwoman sure was scary though, the way she delivered her little speech so seriously. What was more disturbing was the fact she had just told him. These years he had been at this school, the boredom of classes and the hundreds of matches played on his phone, she had been watching. Why? He was a rank and file one-star, and yet a member of the elite had been watching. He wondered to himself if any of the other elites had been watching, and how the terrifying little girl he called his boss had kept an eye on him.

As he entered the club room he began to make his announcements, that he was the new club president, a newly elevated two-star, and that this club would be seeing some major changes. He wrote out the new regime for club training on the board. If he could turn out some decent strategists from this club he'd consider that a victory, but first, he needed to cull the herd.

  1. Club Members will Analyze Everything about a given Club Member
  2. Club Members will formulate a strategy to defeat their given Club Member
  3. Defeated club members will be removed from the club
  4. Repeat every quarter

He smiled at the plan, it was cutthroat, only the strong would survive, and the weak, well, he'd said it before. This was Honnouji, and he would create a club of students that embodied the ideals that founded this school. The members would then be rented out to other clubs as strategic managers, in this Matthias could insure his club's survival by forcing other clubs to rely on their leadership. It was the sort of plan he had always wanted to put in place.

Michi swung her legs on the couch. "So, Madam... what do you think about your newly apointed club president?" She askedshe asked Kenkimi. She giggled at how his reaction was when she told him they were watching. She enjoyed messing with others but Kenkimi was one person she would not prank. Kenkimi sighed "You truley do have a way with words..." she said with a sip of her tea. She would see how well this Matthias acted.

The first week of club under the new management went well, games were played nonstop during meetings in complete silence as each member observed everything the others did. Each one of them had received a target in the club, the only way to retain one's membership was to beat their target by any means and take their club badge. By the end of the week there had been a single elimination, and the first official member of the new Strategy Club was sworn in. These events and practices were all written down on the many pieces of paperwork that were due each week to the council. On this first due date, Matthias entered the meeting room just as the clock struck 0830, as usual he had slept in and had to skip breakfast to make this early meeting. He placed the folders with the paperwork on a desk and took a seat.

Michi walked into the meeting room after all the club members walked in. "Everyone.. Madam Kenkimi..." she said as she stepped to the side and Kenkimi was sitting in the chair behind her.

"I believe we should also welcome our newest club president, Matthias, please stand up" she said as she raised up her hand to symbolize him to stand up. "Once we see these statistics of yours, we shall see if you are ready for your uniform" she said as she put her fingertips together as she waited
