As Kensuke he is polite, good mannered but distant, like is expected of a boy raised in a rich and important family, but due to the fact that he doesn’t have empathy his manners tend to be too formal or weird in certain occasions. Besides, by his strict education he tends to take things very seriously, to avoid unnecessary conflicts.
Though, by the same reasons his conservative education infused some racism in him, leading him to distrust westerners (Caucasians, particularly), of course, as it is politically incorrect he doesn’t comment about it.
In the daily life, he doesn’t have particular interests, like hobbies or a favorite food like most people of his clan, usually they still have preferences for something but is mostly the result of the routine rather than joy.
As Shadow he is a man of few words, taking his fights as matter of life and death, ignoring any other considerations (the safety of civilians, superheros or villains for instance), by his training and previous experience however he usually remains calm and prefer to prepare plan or tactics in advance before confronting the enemy.
As Kensuke or Shadow of the lightning, although he is very indifferent to others, the exception is the care of his “subordinates”; and the fear to disappoint or being disapproved by his grandfather.

Kensuke was born in the Minamoto clan, which was cursed after what they called “the rebellion against Heaven”, and by his ancestor’s sin they lost the ability to feel empathy or strong emotions (joy, sadness, anger and similars) with other human beings.
To accomplish that mission, dreaming about being released of the curse one day, the Minamoto are trained in martial arts and the use of their supernatural powers (the control of the lightining/electricity) to protect and recover artifacts with mystical powers.
Kensuke as the elder son of the principal family and heir of the clan has been raised and trained since his childhood through a strict and harsh discipline. As his mother died some days after his birth and his father is considered dead since many years ago, much of his education had been supervised by his grandfather.
But he wasn´t always a cold boy, during his childhood he was a regular kid, who enjoyed cartoons and playing football with his friends, but as he became a teenager his psychological change slowly started as his supernatural powers raised.
Kensuke is an outstanding kenjutsuka and dominates the lightning powers of his clan and had dealt with fights with supernatural beings and the recovery of ancient artifacts, in the underground world the Minamoto is famous by its worldwide intelligence network masked under the alias of the “Shadow of the Dragon” which was waged a secret war against the CIA and other agencies during decades, and recently was contacted by the Light to support them in the second part of their plot.
Whatsoever, the Shadow of the Dragon and the Light don’t trust completely between them and keep their distance, in any case a small group of support led by Kensuke was sent to work closely with the Light to strengthen their alliance.
