Basics

Name:

Leon Seth Faust

Nickname:

Leo

Gender:

Male

Age:

Twenty-one

Background

Race:

Human.

Powers:

Leon has the ability to manipulate the shadows of people, objects, and animals; he is able to give "life" to them and move them around where he wishes. However, these shadows are limited as two-dimensional beings, and can only physically touch the third-dimensional owner they previously belonged to.

A prime example of this is if Leon used his abilities on a person's shadow he was walking next to. That shadow could easily punch them; either from the front, the side, or the back depending on where the light source came from. All Leon needs is a bit of light to create a shadow for him, and then he can get to work.

Unfortunately for Leon, these shadows also reflect the people they were made from. Some shadows, from his experience, are more aggressive than most, while others are more prone to hold back. It's like they share a mind of their own with their original person, and that person's traits and personality are seen in their separated shadow.

Persona:

Leon is a pale young man in his twenties with minty blue eyes and unkempt, curly white hair. He often tries to avoid direct contact with sunlight by usually wearing a straw sun hat, whether he burns easily or just hates the light is unknown - but either way, he hates the heat and light. Before he was sent to prison and forced to wear the uniform, he wore plain t-shirts with jeans and sneakers. Nothing out of the ordinary, except for his hat.

Personality:

At first glance, Leon seems to be fairly laid-back and average, besides the occasional spewing of odd and nonsensical things ("They said they didn't like you. Did you know that already? No? But, everybody knew that though..."). He acts polite and friendly towards everyone, and tries to be on the cheery side of things despite the constant negativity, sometimes even acting like he's not in a prison.

But, Leon is, in actuality, very cunning, manipulative and sadistic, seeing many as simply playthings for him and his merry band of "imaginary friends".

Never completely understanding the extent of his powers, as a child he thought the shadows were strange beings and enjoyed "playing" with them. He told many stories, saying he had friends (often referred to as "they"/"them") that kept him company day-in and day-out. Now though, he seems to switch from calling them his "friends" to "monsters" and vice versa often, not able to decide which one they really are to him.

At the end of the day though, Leon would always choose himself over anyone else.

Biography

History:

Not much is known about Leon's life before his high school years. He barely talks about it and only gives an odd smile when asked. What he has told though, is that he came from a small family in the city, his parents divorced and that his father won custody of him, but he was always left alone in the house to do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. Nobody was there to teach him right from wrong, except when he was at school, but no one made a big enough impact to change his habits. He says sometimes he went hungry and his father usually wouldn't come home for several days and then would unexpectedly come home with a woman in his arms - different each time. There was always alcohol in the house and the smell of cigarettes, and usually the only person he would talk to was himself, his shadow-like creatures, and his books which later on he grew incredibly fond of.

During his high school years though, he tried something different. The only thing he ever revealed the reason why was that one of his "friends" told him to try it out, that it would be fun, so he did.

Already notorious for being a troublemaker and ditching class, Leon's high school teachers were pleasantly surprised to find he was much more polite, well-mannered, and agreeable than ever before and stayed that way until his graduation - when, sick of his game he was playing, Leon managed to take control of every single person's shadow and wreck havoc on the day that was supposed to be heartwarming and hopeful.

Urged on by his "friends", Leon claims, he went and told the shadows to beat their physical counterparts, some even going to the point of death.

Once the school's nice guy with a past and life no one knew about, he is now notoriously known as the high school criminal.
