Backstory:
In the dream, Kaname had materialised in a space that was unfamiliar to her, it was pure white and full of nothingness. The only thing that stood out to her as she slowly took some steps around the region was that there was 9 other people in this foreign area with her. The atmosphere felt so weird, they seemed so real, she seemed so conscious. She began to walk away from the strangers after deciding to explore this peculiar domain but all of a sudden. A flash. Her sight had been encompassed by darkness and a panther appeared. The panther swiftly attacked 5 people who looked like friends, forcing them into a wall, Kaname’s thoughts stumbled over themselves and all she could think of was to group up with the other 4 people who were currently unharmed. The animal whispered to the newly formed huddle of people, ‘Save them’, she shivered before it added ‘or are you afraid of your powers?’ She pondered over that question for a second but was soon thrust back into reality, she sat up in a cold sweat and her eyes darted around her room, checking to see if she was indeed in the real world.
Kaname had what she considered a great childhood, she grew up in a middle class family who were from Las Vegas, Nevada in America. Her family consists of her mother, father, and two older sisters – Leliana and Wren – who are 23 and 25 years old respectively. Growing up the sisters had an extremely strong bond with one another, they got into arguments like all siblings but would always have each other’s back; they still do up to this day. She was the youngest of the family but didn’t embrace being treated like a baby, Kaname would help and contribute to the family as much as her sisters and parents but was determined to outshine her siblings. She would study harder to beat their grades, train longer to win more trophies, volunteer more frequently to raise a higher amount of money. Anything they did she strived to do better, this attitude conditioned Kaname to reach her goals no matter the cost and as she grew it benefited her overview of life.
Kaname’s love for martial arts started in her teenage years when she was searching for ways to better herself. Upon starting the sport, she discovered she had natural talent in it and trained vigorously to not only improve her skills but because she enjoyed being able to express herself through careful precision and fluid motion; she is an expert in many different kinds of martial arts but is a grandmaster in Muay Thai. It is actually through MMA that she uncovered her Biokinesis powers, she was training with a rather obnoxious boy from school who had joined the same club, the boy had used underhand tactics to sway the fight in his favour. Kaname would not accept defeat and so focused all her energy and mind on pulling the boys arm to escape a submission hold, this resulted in his arm becoming unnaturally deformed and a snap was heard by everybody present. It was thought that is was just an accident but Kaname knew otherwise, as a teenager who was still developing and already had a lot on her mind, she didn’t know how to handle this news and so just repressed the thought.
Kaname has become qualified in teaching MMA and it is her profession now, she has taught beginner classes to sparing at professional camps. She is currently a private instructor for hire to do one on one or small group sessions for all ages. Kaname lives on her own in a large apartment complex after moving out of her parents’ house at 19 years of age seeking to be more independent.

Kaname saw a panther in the dream which represents how she has acute sensitivity and acts mostly based off of her feelings; it also reflects her mentality to do whatever is needed to aid humanity.
Biokinesis, the ability to be able to biologically manipulate any aspect of a person with the mind; it can be used for healing or to inflict disease and break bones for example. Kaname wants to help the progression of humanity and enjoys assisting others but sees people who don’t share her opinion in a negative light and seeks to change their ways by any means necessary.
She is afraid of her power because even though she wants to help, Kaname is petrified that she will get carried away using her power on people who she sees as negative. That the need to make the world better might overtake her and ultimately do more wrong than right.
