In the city of Ocpolon, the citizens prided themselves on their intelligence. Most homes had a library in them. In fact it was considered an essential room in the houses they built. Even the most uneducated men and women there could easily outsmart the most educated individuals from other cities. This allowed for them to easily become the capitol of the Krysine Empire, despite the fact that the Diamond Palace was nowhere near the city.
This being said, there was a major problem in Ocpolon. If people made mistakes, they would often be shunned and exiled from the city itself. There was such a high turn out rate from work places and schools, that most people were afraid to speak out against others, especially higher officials, in fear they may be ridiculed and exiled themselves.
In another area, the city of Ruthan Vok, named Ocpolon's Twin city, prided themselves on their strengths. However, unlike their smarter counterparts, They lived by the idea that "Practice makes perfect." If someone made a mistake or had any problems, their community would come together to aide them. This gave the city strength in community as well as strength in battles and number. They were the bravest men and women and often stuck together like an unbreakable shield against those who may try and harm their friends and family.
Much like their sister city, Ruthan Vok had a problem with trusting outsiders. Not many could enter without being treated like.. Well.. Outsiders. The people were so guarded with themselves that most who moved into the city would have to wait years to be treated like part of the "family."
These two cities, while being "twin cities" despised each other with such strong hatred that outsiders of the two cities, and villages between them, often feared an outbreak of war.
