BACKGROUND
BLOOD STATUS: Half-blood (Vampire & Witch)
HISTORY: Jupiter is a rare occurrence of a vampire having a child with a creature other than another vampire, and, even rarer, in this case, a witch. Her parents met during a protest outside of MACUSA for their mistreatment of magical beings and hit it off instantly, as if by magic.
For most of her life, Jupiter lived in the muggle world, her parents' way of protesting the ways of the Wizarding World, but kept themselves pretty up to date on the happenings in their home so that they weren't walking around blindly whenever they returned to pick up items, go to events, or -rarely- visit family. Jupiter didn't mind living in the muggle world, because witches, wizards, and other creatures couldn't possibly be real, Jupiter was just pale and had probably suffered filing her teeth on more the one occasion -there were people like that, but in the magical community they knew exactly what she was and treated her badly, much like they did half-giants and werewolves; whether bitten or born. Even better for the girl, was that her family had moved to New Orleans, where the society was immersed in both muggle and magical ways. It was a life that she loved immensely, especially with all the wonderful people.
At the age of 12, Jupiter's father was killed by an illegal vampire hunter, with no repercussions or investigation of any kind by MACUSA, and her family life crumbled. Jupiter's mother finally decided to go on those trips her work was always pressuring to do, and Jupiter decided to spend her time on the streets where the people were instead of dwelling in her empty house. She wasn't there very long before running into the wizard Vauduo who took her under her under his wing to teach her magic, since her parents chose not to in protestant. Vauduo helped Jupiter get her life back together, and meet her best friend Ezra, who she can't imagine herself being without in the present day.
Around the time that Jupiter and Ezra were informed by Vauduo of a new dark wizard elitist group arising, they also received a letter from the Ministry of Magic requesting their presence, and inviting the two to join the Aurors Department because of their known backgrounds and abilities in Non-traditional magic. Jupiter initially planned to say no, but agreed for the sake of helping Ezra save his family, and protect magical beings like herself.
PERSONA PERSONA: At 5'4'' inches Jupiter is quite the young woman with wavy, dark brown hair and eyes to match, and a non-traditional gap between her teeth, the appearance of the pale young woman is very fitting in her belief in paving a path for herself, and not allowing others to do the work for her. Her friends are scarce in numbers, but those who she are close to are able to bring out a totally different side to her typical distant and challenging nature. For most of her life, she's been submerged in both the muggle and wizarding world, enjoying them both; although much more fond of muggle society in comparison to the strict ways of MACUSA. She's one to get very attached to those she forms a bond with, especially males, now that her father was unwillingly stripped out of the picture, she doesn't desire a relationship, but typically seeks familial bonds or someone to casually flirt with.
At one point in her life, Jupiter was very much a partier going out and having a recklessly good time, drinking the night away, and never really suffering the effects of being fully drunk because of her vampire metabolism. She's calmed down a bit since joining the Aurors, but still enjoys letting loose and having a good time.
She also has a strong love and appreciation for music, coming from New Orleans, and having music junkie parents who named her after the band Train's song Drops of Jupiter. If anything, the quickest way to bond with the young woman and break past her snark and sarcasm is to mention New Orleans or music.
