The Out of Character thread for an upcoming PJU Roleplay. Where you post your character profiles and sign up for the IC thread. You are required to come here first before making a single post in the aforementioned topic. To read the rules, to post the profiles for your characters, and to check in and make sure your OCs are accepted by me first before posting IC.

Firstly, the rules of this RP:
1. The obvious first. No godmodding or making your character invincible or perfect! In battle, you can't write "My character swings their sword and immediately lops off the opponent's head!" This is a rule that's especially important during PvP fights. Player characters must be given a chance to avoid damage as best they can. Additionally, your characters can't be all-knowing or have the answer for everything. Even the Greek Gods themselves aren't all-knowing. They're powerful and immortal, and they definitely have a higher knowledge of things than us, but they most certainly are not all-knowing. And if they aren't, then your character certainly can't.
2. This roleplay is meant to be semi-literate, which means that there cannot be any single-sentence posts IC, nor is text talk allowed. You don't have to be the most grammatical or colorful writer in the world, just well-written enough to not come off as lazy or apathetic.
3. As a fandom RP set in the world of the Percy Jackson books, it's highly recommended that you have a certain level of knowledge about how the world works and the way things go. Therefore, if you've read the books, you're good to go.
4. Too much profanity is not allowed. Rather, you are allowed to curse from hell to crap to damn, but nothing beyond that. If you want to be more colorful about it, you could try coming up with Greek curses as well.
5. No going meta! This is an extension of the first rule. If you, as the player, have knowledge of certain things, your character cannot have that knowledge at the same time. If there's no logical reason for why they would have that knowledge, don't give them that knowledge until the character's themselves gain it on their own terms.
6. An overabundance of conflict can be damaging to the RP's story. This is a personal rule of mine, created from a number of instances in the past in which there were too many conflicts too often happening in the story. Conflict on it's own is perfectly fine, but too much of it can be a bad thing without a proper period of time with which the protagonists can have a breathe.
For those of you who wish to play as villains or antagonists, if I ever state to you that there's way too much going on, take it seriously and give us a chance to stop and take a break from your villainous ways. Even the Camp Half-Blood kids during the Olympians books had chances to stop and take a break.
7. A Character profile must be created and then accepted by yours truly before you can begin roleplaying.
8. This is an RP and not to be taken too seriously. Have fun and be nice.

Character Profile:

Name:
Age: (Minimum being ten years)
Gender:
Personality: (Optional)
Appearance: (Physical appearance is required, but clothing can merely be filled out as their clothing preferences)
Weapon(s):
Heritage: (Which Greek God is your father? If your character is a newcomer to the camp, this detail will not be known to the other campers until after their father/mother has claimed them. They can take guesses, of course, based on appearance and abilities, though. However, you cannot have one of the Big Three as your parent unless given permission.)
Powers/Abilities: (This, of course, relates back to Heritage. Your powers as a Half-Blood must relate to who your godly parent is. Ex. Children of Athena typically have a wise and strategic mind and a knack for battle strategies, diplomacy, law and even arts and crafts. Of course, there's also personal skills that the character may have picked up if they had more time outside of the camp.)

Other: (Extra details that don't really fit into other categories)

Name: Trevor Crane
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Personality: An open and hospitable camper, Trevor welcomes all newcomers alongside Chiron, be they a child of Ares, of Hermes, or even of Nemesis, or Hecate. He's also dutiful, always arriving at exercises and camp activities early and often exercises and practices almost more than the children of Ares, ensuring he gets as much done as possible.
This, however, is because knows that as a son of Demeter, he is not particularly skilled with any form of combat or defensive abilities. This drives him to overwork himself and often he winds up too tired to do much else once dinnertime rolls around. And with him helping a group project on the side, he overtaxes himself frequently.
Though he's often very nice to others, he does have his limits, like when someone attempts to use him for whatever reason or if he meets someone that just leaves a bitter taste in his mouth. Not even his own mother is free of these limits.
Appearance: Olive skin, shaggy chestnut hair, dark round brown eyes, five feet tall, a well-exercised figure, numerous callouses on his hands from all the things he does.
Weapon(s): Bow and a quiver of two dozen arrows, a curved sword, and a magic hand shovel
Heritage: Demeter
Powers/Abilities:
  • Thermokinesis - Trevor can manipulate the temperature from thirty foot radius. He hasn't quite gotten the hang of controlling it yet and it seems more attached to his emotional state than anything else.
  • Animal Talk - He can hear what certain animals are saying. Mostly livestock such as cows or chickens.
  • Baking - While he's not quite the best cook, his baking is amazing. Though, in Camp Half-Blood, that skill of his often is only used rarely.
  • Swordplay - While he didn't start out very skilled in anything other than helping Dionysus's kids with the strawberries, he best skill in combat was swordplay.
Likes: Lemon pie, hot cocoa, egg nog, sweet potatoes, the Hermes kids, the Hephaestus kids, a Wood Nymph named Rosie, Hestia, Hermes, Hades and Persephone, Winter (Oddly enough)
Dislikes: Coffee, Diet sodas, Watermelons, Alcohol of any kind, Autumn, Summer, the Aphrodite kids, Zeus, Demeter (Sort of), Being used by the other campers to heat them up during Winter or cool them down during Summer
Other: His dad's an elementary school teacher, He wants to give the Underworld a look sometime

Name: Cyranus Alexander Everett
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Personality: He tends to not take serious situations all that seriously while unimportant situations require his utmost attention. This is in part a coping mechanism and tends to be a doubled edged sword, while not taking a crises seriously allows him to remain calm under pressure he can also gravely underestimate events/enemies and find himself outmatched. While at camp he tends to be happy or at the very least appear to be happy and he enjoys teasing various campers, nothing is quite as funny to him as seeing others flustered.
Appearance: He's 5'10 and lanky, his hair is black and slightly curly, his eyes are green. He wears the camp short and jeans, style isn't really important to him.
Weapon(s): hoplite sword, it's just a standard weapon nothing magical about it.
Heritage: His father is Dionysus.
Powers/Abilities: Chlorokinesis and can cause temporary insanity in some people under the right conditions.
Likes: teasing others, pranks, entertainment, and jovial atmospheres.
Dislikes: being responsible for others, pressure, and being restricted physically or behaviorally.
Other: He's gay and views the Apollo cabin as rivals.

Character Profile: Baby Russel

Name: Baby Russel

Age: Fifteen

Gender: Male

Personality: Baby tends to lean more to chaotic good on the alignment scale. It's not rare for him to be at someones throat, not because he's easily offended, but more towards he just likes to create conflict. Nothing gives him more pleasure than pissing someone else off and he's usually seen either running away with someone's stuff or brawling with said someone because they said he looked silly. Despite his mischievous behavior, he can actually be really relaxed with people who he's either decided to like or have earned his respect and would gladly brawl side by side with them over as little as a bag of chips.

Appearance: Baby stands at 5'11, has pale skin, curly red hair, blue eyes, and a sly grin. He also has freckles and elvish looking ears. Baby's favorite article of clothing is anything with a hood. Buy the kid a hoodie and he's your homie for life, anything else he'll figure out in the moment. His most challenging goal in life is to incorporate the CHB T-shirt with a hoodie, once he's accomplished that the world is his.

Weapon(s): Baby doesn't have any specific weapons, preferring to "wing it." He'll pick up whatever he thinks will hurt the most. Although he would like to test out any new weapons the Hephaestus kids come up with. Obviously they don't trust him, but he still hasn't given up yet.

Heritage: Hermes

Powers/Abilities: Due to Baby's heritage, he would arguably make an amazing bank robber. He's extremely sly, clever, and persuasive, useful in situations where he's actually caught in the act of something, however he's an exceptional thief so he prides himself on not being caught. Baby also has the power of lock manipulation, being able to unlock most doors and sense when one is booby-trapped or cursed. He's great with money and he's very confident when it comes to betting (except against a child of tyche of course). Last but not least, he's insanely fast and prides himself on his skill in free running.

Likes: Fighting, chocolate, orange soda, cheese flavored snacks, the gods Apollo, Hephaestus, and their children, sarcasm to anyone other than him, and playing jokes on others.

Dislikes: When nothing happens, any candy other than chocolate, peach drinks, the gods ares Artemis, and Aphrodite, sarcasm done to him, and country music.

Other: Baby is his middle name. He decides to go by it because he's embarrassed by his first name. Also he isn't very strong, preferring to rely on his wits and speed to beat most people he goes up against.

Accepted!

Can i make a guy who is being hunted by his father due to the fact he kinda ran away from home after his father refused to let him go to Camp and locked him in his room?

That's fine with me, I suppose. It could create a bit of personal conflict and building tension and anxiety, since full humans aren't able to access the Camp.

I am thinking that it would be a huge issue if he were to go on a quest. Due to the fact that his Father hired people to track him down.

"Hired people"? Is his father wealthy or something? I assume we're talking about a Human father as the Gods don't tend to stop their kids from being heroes.

Name: Victor Stryker
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Personality: Victor is a guy that everyone wants to be friends with. He has the smile that can bright up everyone's day, a hug that can make anyone forget what they were thinking about, and a sense of humor that will make even the most serious of people snort with laughter. Victor is a helpful guy, but he does get upset, especially when people are hateful towards others. Victor has a strong sense of justice and self-righteousness, making people trust in him. Victor is a great soldier and an OK leader, not confident enough in his strategical mind, more confident in his ability to support his allies and be the main close up physical fighter. He very much enjoys the thrill of a fight and is constantly practicing to ensure his victory.
Appearance: escanor_by_auryn1-d8lw7ut.png His normal appearance is a physically large teenager with fair skin, light hair, and yellow eyes. He stands at about 5'11 and weighs 190 lbs. He has a few scars on his body from his childhood.
Weapon(s): Victor wields a large halberd and has a very durable armor that he summons and dismisses at will, appearing with a bright flash of light.
Halberd: _smite__nike_xps_only____by_lezisell-daqbqma_1.jpg
Armor: (Yes he has wings that he can fly short distances with) angel-warrior-wallpaper-15.jpg
Heritage: Victor is the son of Nike, however he will discover this once he reaches the camp.
Powers/Abilities:
-Beyond Peak Human Physical Capabilities. Nothing like throwing cars around, more like pulling stop signs out of the ground and using them like a bat. However...
-Much more enhanced durability, resilience, and stamina.
-Light aura- Victor shines! Radiating a soothing light to his allies and an uncomfortable glare to his opponents. But whenever it is dark, he will shine no matter what. He's working on it.
-Photokinetic combat- Victor can incorporate light into his attacks, empowering them with the might of the sun! Just a bit of an added boost :/
-Minor flight- This is mostly used for clearing a battlefield quickly, reaching his allies in need.
-Some bonus luck to the outcomes of certain situations- nothing too intense.
Likes: Citrus fruits. Training. Physical activity. Friends. Food. Feasting. More food.
Dislikes: The dark. It's almost an unnatural fear. Sourpusses. People who intentionally break the laws, just for the laughs.
Other: Victor was raised in a privileged household, adopted from an unwanting father. His adoptive parents always pushed him beyond his limit, eventually becoming abusive, knowing that Victor had an unnatural tolerance for the beatings. Victor has finally mustered up the confidence to run away. Now is his journey to anywhere that isn't his house. He has recently found himself wandering through the woods.
