+Trait 1: The eye: Mortiliches normally have small purple, green, or orange dots in their eye sockets that serve as eyes, but if very serious those will disappear and if stressed, angry or sad, one eye socket will burst alight with purple, green or orange fire. The fire serves as a emotional stabilizer and sensory enhancer for battle. They can also activate it at will for battle, or reading, for they can read any language as long as their eye is active.
+Trait 2: Immunity: Mortiliches are immune from birth to bleeding, poison, hunger, radiation, most non-magical sicknesses, and thirst.
-Trait: Their strength comes from magic and not muscle, meaning they can't use as much magic.
Mortiliches are humans brought back to life through rituals, often for house work. But some are brought back because their families miss them. All flesh must be removed from the body before the ritual, meaning all mortiliches are skeletons. Their eye is usually discovered in the 4th year of them being a skeleton
Backstory:
Tsume was the average child, until he was killed by a murderer during a store robbery. He was 8 when he died. His family and friends loved him so much though, they all put together a large sum of money and brought him back to life. Unfortunately, something went wrong and he ended up with no feelings. But, one day, he was with his best friend, Dhaegon, when another robbery took place and his friend was shot. Something inside Tsume snapped. His eye burst into bright green fire while he broke the robber's arm, grabbed his gun, and shot him in the head. He realized he could feel again! Dhaegon survived and his parents gave Tsume a skeletal dragon for saving their son. Vyrox, the dragon, and Tsume became close friends.
Appearance:
A thin skeleton with small green dots in his eye sockets. He doesn't have hair, flesh, fingernails or toenails. (DUH) He often wears an unzipped space hoodie(See photo \/) a green shirt, black athletic pants.
Weapons/Gear:
Tsume takes a backpack containing: a grappling hook, $350 (Gotta get those souvenirs!), Vyrox, a water purifier straw, a swiss army knife, and a trident (For protection against monsters).
Magic:
Knows basic necromancy and fire magic.
Personality:
A bit on the dark side, Tsume likes dark humor and is very sarcastic. He loves pranks, so watch out for whoopee cushions. But deep down, he is extremely loyal and friendly.

The Fis are a secretive race known for their great power and nobility. They are great magic users and often use it in their daily lives. Social structure is a bit odd. Fis are a matriarchal race who tend to dislike when this structure is tipped. Women are above men (who are only used to reproduce) they take after the Amazons. Other than being great magic users they are also very agile or nimble due to their light bone structure. Their bones are weak due to the lightness of their structure which causes them to be injured easily
Backstory:
Mina is a girl who is looking for adventure and a way to get out of her boring village. When she heard of the quest she knew what she had to do. In the middle of the night, she snuck away to find adventure a happiness. She hopes to gain glory and tons of gold from this not to mention a nice new supply of magic for her to use.

Magic:
She uses Fis magic which allows her to fly or float about as well as light magic which comes in hand when one is trapped in a cave.
Personality:
Mina is a trickster at heart who loves to pull pranks on an unsuspecting passerby. She is known to be lazy and tries to pass stuff off onto others so she doesn't have to do much. Greeed is her main motive for doing anything that requires effort and makes her do stuff if she is lazy. Loyalty is for those who are worthy of it so she isn't really that loyal to people.​

Know by the masses as witch doctors, the Vorna are widely mistaken for beings of evil. They are an ashen skinned people with tiny horns on their head. Their hair is usually brightly coloured and tends not to follow the rules of gravity. Usually they are very tall creatures. They have pointed ears and eyes with no color in them. They live mostly in tribes in the mountains and all of them appear to have the ability to re-animate dead things. Weather it be animals or humans, they can bring life into their eyes for a short time. If a corpse has been dead for a long time they will be momentarily restored to new. Of course these reanimated things are completely under the Vorna's control and do not have a will of their own. Usually a Vorna will have members of the dead that they can summon to fight with them at will, usually a comrade who has allowed them to do this after they die. It is a great honer in the Vorna's culture to be able to help out a brother or sister even after death has taken them away. The Vorna's skull will usually be kept on the living Vorna's belt after death.

The Vorna are mistaken for bloodsuckers quite often, but that makes up only a small part of their diet. Their digestive systems cannot break down normal food, so they eat by injecting a harmless poison into the fruit or animal they are trying to consume. This breaks down the insides into an easy to digest mush and the Vorna take what they need nutrient-wise from the fruit or meat. This takes a long time and most Vorna only feed once or twice a day.
Backstory: Mevssa was born to the Troven Tribe. They lived in tents at the base of the snowy mountain, fairly happily. There was tension between Mev's tribe and their sister Tribe who lived halfway up the same mountain. Both tribes were ravaged by animals and their storage for the winter months was near depleted. She did not understand the gravity of the situation until she was 12 and was forced to fight one of her best friends for breaking into her camp and stealing fruit, which was impossible to come by in the wintertime. Instead of coming together in the harsh time and sharing they'd chosen to turn against eachother and battle for survival. The battle went on for a long time, untill the crisis with the lack of magic began to take their lives. Mev volunteered to venture out to stop the death and the two tribes ceased the fighting to once again find peace.
Weapons/Gear: Two handed sword (Pictured). Three polished Vorna skulls (Pictured), A bag full of food. A small tarp (For making a tent), An eating knife and fork, a hunting knife, a few changes of clothes, flint and steel for starting fires.
Magic: Re-animation of the dead, summoning of the dead (Via a contract with said person made when they still drew breath), The ability to make anything appear and act new again for a limited amount of time.
Personality: Mevessa is a pleasant and polite female upon first meeting. She speaks kindly to everyone until they do not pay her the same curtsy. She is totally dedicated to helping not just her family but everyone in the country who are suffering from the same fight. The way she speaks is very formal, it is just the way she was brought up, however she still appreciates a good joke. When angered she tends to be very quiet and cold, however she chooses her fights wisely and is good at keeping her head in tense situations.
Extras. Mev has a scar running from her left collarbone right down to her solar plexus, she is lucky to have survived that injury.
The Vorna learn English primarily, however they also communicate with eachother using a sign language they created for battle or hunting parties to communicate without making a sound.

The qyhm have four sexes: qyhmi, qyhmu, qyhmsin, and qyhmsun. The qyhmi and qyhmsin are both males, and qyhmu and qyhmsun are both females, but the qyhmi and qyhmu can both impregnate and be pregnant.

Demi-Qyhm (half-human, half-qyhm); "Strayborn"
Qyhm share many traits with reptiles, octopi, and humans such as being viviparous, nocturnal, having the ability to color-change, and basic bone structure. Their eyes appear glassy or cloudy in light and lightly brightened in dark, not reflective. However, while they are nocturnal and their eyes do not allow sight in bright lighting, they can move around diurnally quite well by focusing on the movements and pathways of beings moving around.
The qyhm obey a royal hierarchy of the most powerful qyhm and are not fond of most other species, especially humans, due to their mistrust in the failing governments of weaker beings. The qyhm live to acquiesce to their royals' commands for the betterment of their lives. It is not so much a chosen obedience for survival and happiness as it is the accepted fear and urge to appease the royals.

+Trait: A qyhm is able to sense the presence of other qyhm through telepathy, though their main form of communication is through empathetic expression in their color. It is said that strayborns may have the ability to learn to communicate in these ways with their non-qyhm counterparts.
+Trait: Unlike humans, their skin colour changes pigment based on their emotion and state of wellbeing, as well as with their surroundings. This helps them keep safe in dangerous situations and to express themselves to friend and foe alike.
-Trait: Born with the natural instinct to obey and protect Qlen, similar to many hive-creatures. It is said to be impossible to resist, especially for strayborns of any kind, because the only way to break free of the instinct is to be powerful enough to become a Qlen as well.

Backstory:
Her dad was a qyhmi and her papa was a human. Her dad died giving birth to her due to the difficulty in having a human child with the viviparous reproduction system of a qyhm, so her papa raised her alone on Earth. She knows nothing of her homeworld and only knows what she's learned on her own of herself because the very mention of her father always made papa depressed or ill for days.
Due to her inability to see during the day and in lit rooms, she was gifted at the age of nine with a parakeet who was trained to see for her so that she could manoeuvre around her papa's mansion without his help. She named him Pepper. Ever since she got her friend, papa kept his attention to his work, never leaving his office other than for bed or disappearing for a couple days only to return injured. She didn't know what he did, but there were always scary people living in the house. Papa called them family, but a lot of them didn't seem like it.
She didn't question him until three years ago when she was sixteen, when papa didn't come back home one night. The mansion was attacked the next morning and she was forced to run outside for the first time in the sun when her family yelled for her to escape with Pepper.
That's when she met Francisco.

In a small knapsack, Root carries a kerambit, sunglasses, hair-ties, a blanket, an umbrella, an extra hoodie and scarf, cleaning-wipes, crackers, fruits, water, and seeds.

Magic:
Telepathy

Personality:
Timid and soft-spoken, but sometimes courageous and bold. While friendly, she is quietly reserved, though she's more of a daydreamer often lost in a trance than just shy. Very polite and eager to do anything to please those who show her any amount of kindness. Her loyalty to newcomers takes time, but if she believes one deserves something more, she's willing to do anything to help them and isn't afraid to stand up for others.

Extras:
She always wears long-sleeved clothing and usually a jacket with a scarf due to her low tolerance to temperatures, even in what would normally be 'hot' to a human.
Pepper also does not like the cold which continues to baffle Root because he has feathers, but she wraps her spare scarf up in a nest-like shape to carry him in when he does get chilly.​

Race: Astomoi Race of nomadic beings from an unknown area of the world. It is unclear the lifespan of this race and if you were to meet the same person twice since they all look the same. There is no known gender for the Astomoi. There has never been a recorded birth within the race. There is no social structure with the race. The live their lives alone from a society and normally integrate with the customs of the area they are visiting. They are typically seen as neutral to all conflict. They have been praised with high regard and feared from how different they are. Astomoi have no mouths, nose or eyes. The see and speak through telepathy. They can communicate with any creature within 200 feet of them.

Trait1: No need for food, water, air, sunlight, or any light at all.
Trait2: High magical ability.
Trait3: Overly passive. Even if a well-known friend is in danger due to conflict Astomoi will likely not intervene.

Backstory: Zo has lived a very long life. So long that he doesn't actually know how old he is. He doesn't have any memoirs of him as a youngling. He doesn't know if he has parents or if he was always as alone as he is now. He doesn't care though he does what he has been doing since he can remember. He roams the world he is on. He may have visited the same places thousands of times. Though every time is different since most people from before are dead and new people are controlling the area.

Zo brings nothing else since he feels he doesn't need anything else to weigh him down.

Magic: Levitation, Telepathy, and Beast Summoning.

Personality: Zo is as neutral as neutral gets. He walks around the world on a whim when every he gets bored of the current place he is in. He never goes out of his way to help someone but if it is on the way or the person is convincing enough he will help out as best he can.

The qyhm society is much like that of a hive-mind and because of this and their unique empathic expressions the qyhm are known to be an intimidating race.
The qyhm royals are more commonly called the Qlen. They are known galaxy-wide for their brutality and lack of mercy for any and all traitors, potential dangers, and strayborn qyhm. Never have they hesitated to punish and slay those who have wronged them rather than outcasted or imprisoned them. And while strayborns, the offspring of a traitorous qyhm and a non-qyhm race, are innocent in the actions of their parent, they are hunted down and either killed as a disgrace or enslaved as a show of power.
Qlen are immensely feared by the qyhm for the grand pull of their telepathy, which is rumoured to extend as cerebrokinesis, making a lesser qyhm do anything they wish by compelling them into wanting to fulfil the wish or simply willing them to do as they please whether they want
to or not.
This reputation of cruelty and strength has earned the beloved royal family treatment worthy of gods in the last few decades by their people.

Extra Negative Trait:
Just like all qyhm, the Qlen are sensitive to the cold as well.

Backstory:
As a son of the current Queen, Francisco lived a privileged childhood. Not that his people don't, they are all very happy with their lives under the great rule of their Qlen. He was quite "rich" compared to others, as a human would describe him. Spoiled, he and his brother did not notice
this as children.
However, growing up was not as wonderful as it may seem. Not much is known about what young Qlen experience as they grow into their power, but what little is known tells that it is not luxury. Whatever the royal family does to
them scars the young ones
deeply, somehow forever enforcing
the understanding of true strength to qyhm into their minds.
Since Francisco's coming of age (age 16 to qyhm rather than average human 18-21 range), he and his brother made the decision to hunt and enforce Qlen law on qyhm traitors who've fled their homeworld as well as their strayborn offspring. His mother would continue to rule with the rest of their big family until Francisco and his brother returned, pleased with their power.
He met Root three years ago and rather than slaying her as he's done before with other strayborns, he's kept her with him ever since.

A kerambit and a long sword are at his side. He carries rum and water in two separate flasks clipped to his belt, an unknown sum of money in his jacket, and a small hairbrush with a hair-tie wrapped around the handle in his pocket.

Magic:
Telepathy and cerebrokinesis (solely with other qyhm)

Personality:
Confident, strong-willed, and determined, but sometimes arrogant and narcissistic. Worried more about himself than the world's problems, but he will help others if he sees they need him, as long as he needs them and they can help him in return. Just because he can not use his cerebrokinesis on non-qyhm does not mean he can't inflict power and fear on others. He often tricks and threatens people, humans being easy to do so with a simple change of skin-color, to get what he wants. Basically, he is a terrible friend and overall person because he was not taught kindness, love, or trust in others.

Extras:
There are many long scars on his back, but he refuses to tell their story and gets angry if someone sees them and asks about the marks.
He is most usually wearing a jacket or overcoat (due to cold nature) and his signature hat. He will on occasion have his hair up in a bun.​
