Gemstone: Jet
Some details: The gem appears to be a multifaceted diamond cut which comes to points at the top and at the base. It seems to absorb any and all light, despite Jet’s power generally flaring outward rather than inward.
Gemstone location: Forehead
Gemstone Weapon: Black Scimitar: A curved black blade that comes to a sharp point before flaring back into the main design. Ideal for both slashing and piercing the guard is wide enough to cover the full hand and the hilt is wrapped in bronze toned black leather. Jet is capable of igniting the blade with something like black fire although in truth it is shadow given form, even if it does still burn.
Physical Details
Build, 3 – Taller than opal, averaging somewhere around 6-6’1, Jet is a slim lean muscled build with pale skin. With a face made up of high and sometimes cruel lines, the gem bares thin lips and eyes that are the color of the gem. They can occasionally take on a bronze tone, especially in times of high emotions. The ears are actually pointed, similar in fashion to how high elves are depicted. Jet’s hair is roughly chin length, not that many would know since it is styled nice and messy (and it never seems to come out of the style, regardless of physics saying it should.) Should Jet dispose with the knee length boots the gem displays feet that almost look like falcon or hawk talons. Jet also has fangs, and no hesitation to show them off.
Role: Noble Researcher / Former Military Commander “Warlord”
Overall Personality: Jet…just like the gem that forms Jet’s core, has several different facets. In battle Jet is a force to be reckoned with. Between a wickedly sharp mind when it comes to strategy and a gift for wholesale destruction, no one can argue Jet having at one time baring the nickname “Warlord”. Even considering the massive destruction, Jet is still actually most gifted when it comes to blade on blade, specifically Jet against multiple others.
After being moved from a military position, Jet was handed a small research party which has expanded under the methodical mind of Jet until it makes up an impressive force. Jet is capable of doing research personally, but prefers to oversee the ideas and reports of those who are specialized for their tasks.
Outside of work or formal situations Jet is amazingly a rather friendly creature. The gem smiles easily and is willing to extend a hand of friendship with anyone who seems competent and friendly themselves. Jet is particularly fond of Lapis and Bismuth gems.
Diamond: White
Anything else:
When Yellow Diamond took complete command of the military, Jet moved from a position as a Military Commander into a research position. This has nothing to do with Yellow Diamond not wanting Jet to retain the position, in fact she would have loved to keep the “Warlord” in place. White Diamond however, refused to give up command of Jet.
There is a fair amount of debate on if Jet is a full true gem or not, given the incredibly male appearance.
In addition to igniting the blade with shadow fire, Jet is capable of manifesting a shadow rose, which can be used to ensnare others. The shadow lays into the skin, the thorns even drawing blood should the subject struggle too much.
