PERSONALITY
Jerome is the quiet type. He likes to observe before reacting and never wants to speak first. It was how he’d been raised to be. Never assume anything of anyone because at the end of it all he’ll be the one looking like an idiot. Despite not wanting to talk much this does not mean he is weak. He is very defensive of himself and those that he does love, never opposed to giving a good fight if needed.
Despite being quiet, he's been slowly changing in personality. Being that he's with the scavengers, certain things that he never would have done on his own are now thing that he ignores of considers as an option.
BACKGROUND
Jerome did not have a good life. Nor was it bad. Just like him it was somewhat plain. Neutral. Boring. At least for the beginning of his life. He was born to two middle class parents and had an older sister that went by Johari. Their lives were pretty good as there wasn’t much conflict where they lived. When he hit 10 his parents would have two more children, twins named Alex and Alexa. All was swell until Jerome turned 14. His sister had already left the house but his parents relationship had been going downhill, resulting in a nasty divorce. Jerome along with his younger siblings would be pulled back and forth, not quite sure who they wished to go with. As he divorce had begun their parents’ relationships amongst their children would disintegrate into nothing. None of them would wish to go with their parents and their older sister had no intention of trying to help her kid siblings. So the three would be on their own, going back and forth between the two until their grandparents would step in.
Jerome along with his twins would be shipped down south to live with them to get away from the chaos. Though their peace would only last for so long. As soon as Jerome was old enough to get a job, he’d be out there everyday. Making sure to get money for the family since their parents couldn’t make much for them. It would become his routine, going to school, going to work, going home to sleep, repeat. Nothing new. Nothing exciting. This would even go on as he moved out.
It wouldn’t be until he met a girl named Tiana that changed his perspective. She would be the one to stop that cycle he’d been going through since he was a teen. He would then learn to love himself and love all those little moments he had taken for granted not too long after. For him life would become good. It would get better. That was until the accident. He can’t necessarily comprehend what the hell happened. Nor does he really want to. He knows that the moment he lets his mind go back to those moments, he’ll remember the death of his lover and he isn’t ready to handle that yet. As for afterwards? He isn’t really sure how it came to be but before he knew it, he was a part of the scavengers.
With that deranged Salem leading them all, Jerome lives in slight fear of the man. Not quite sure what to say or do around him. So he keeps to himself. Staying in the shadows when he can, saying what he thinks the leader would like, and letting out his wild side whenever it’s needed. Anything to survive in a group that’s as fucked up as this one. Everybody fights for something but he doesn't truly know what he's fighting for anymore.
STRENGTHS/FLAWS
1. Flexibility/Adaptation - This is something he learned to master at a young age. He needs to be able to read the people around him just enough to know how to fit in with their agenda. This is something he’s learned how to do as well though every once in a while he slips up.
2. Speed - If there was one thing Jerome endured growing up, it was always trying to get somewhere on time. Which he never really was. So to get there he’d have to run, and run, and run, and run. Before long he began building up his speed to the point where he was approached by the track coach of his high school to join in. Yet he said no because of work. He still ran afterwards, but now he does it for survival.
3. Empath- Along with being able to adapt to those around him, he’s come to be able to understand and feel what they’re feeling. Emotions are something that’s he been able to pick up from quite a lot of people. It’s natural for him. There are however a few people he can’t particularly read the best and it’s those toes of people that he does his best to steer clear of.

2. Fighting skills- Jerome is an avoider. He likes to stay on the sidelines as much as he can. Because of that, he’s never had the chance to really improve on his fighting skills. He can work a weapon but hand-to-hand combat is absolutely not his thing.
3. Not confident/ Indecisive of his decisions - After the happening, with out Tiana he fell back into not being too sure of himself. While he can make a decision regarding other people, he can never seem to choose an option when it revolves around him. This causes him to miss out on things or get in trouble with more than just himself.

He Found Waldo- Jerome is very talented at finding things that have been lost. You lost your pants? He can find it. You lost your favorite bracelet? He can find it. You lost your mind? Well... He can try his best to find that.
