blake wasn't necessarily born in the normal way. there was no mother that was with her father, carrying her for nine months before she inevitably popped out. her father has told her the story a million times and it confused her to no end as a child. she just showed up. with his eyes and the complexion of a woman he'd been seeing for a few months. 

she was undeniably beautiful and grew up being praised for that and she used that to her advantage. a pretty face often distracted people from what was really happening. she still remembers when her father went into school to apologize to her teacher after he'd found a plethora of classroom items under her bed.

did she learn from that? absolutely not.

at the age of sixteen she became friends with a group of people who found the thrill of stealing things to be better than anything. it was easy to see that she was the very best at it. it became an everyday thing and it continued. until the attack.

she doesn't remember much about it, just a lot of screaming and a face hovering above hers, one she'd never seen before. she woke up a week later, that's the amount of time she was told anyway, in a place that was unfamiliar. she had called her father and he'd explained to her what was going on, shock evident in his voice. she's been at the camp since.
