It's Just a FAYZ

The One and Only
For those of you who didn't jump out of their seat as they recognised the title, filled with joy and excitement now a Gone RP has finally arrived, allow me to explain. Gone is the first in a series of novels by Michael Grant, detailing the exploits of several children as they struggle to survive in a world without adults. The absence of adults is due to a large, impenetrable and seemingly electrified sphere completely surrounding a small Californian town and the surrounding countryside. As soon as the dome appeared, everyone over the age of 15 seemingly disappeared leaving hundreds of kids within the dome to fend for themselves. Now if this wasn't bad enough some have developed supernatural powers and abilities, some useless, some deadly. It seems the mutations aren't restricted to humans either as some animals to undergo some startling changes, coyotes learning to talk and worms capable of swarming a person and burrowing through their very flesh. Two main camps arise within the FAYZ as they go on to struggle through famine, disease and conflict between those empowered and the far more numerous regular people.

Now for this RP I intend to begin in the same circumstances as the book and while some familiar problems will arise I plan to take it into a completely different direction. You can choose to play as one of the original characters from the books or invent your own OC. Also just because I'm incapable of RPing kids I'm raising the age to 17. Finally if you do decide to invent your OC remember that, Excluding the creator of the FAYZ, the two most powerful abilities are telekinesis and light manipulation, so any OC ability must be on a par or below these.

1) The moment the FAYZ appeared, a shipping freighter was heading towards the docks at the Carlisle Storage Facility. When the dome appeared the bulk of the ship was trapped in the FAYZ, sliced in half. This part rapidly sank but due to the shallowness of the bay half of the wrecked freighters still sits above water.

2) An everyday Air force base, surrounded by a tall metal fence with a small garrison stationed there with their families.

3) Koal Academy is an educational facility for difficult children, boasting high grades and state of the art equipment.

4) Oakridge Bay is the smaller of the two towns caught within the FAYZ, boasting a population of little under 2000, which has been reduced to only 300 due to the FAYZ. Notable locations within the town include a clinic and church.

5) A newly built Power station run by a small army of people who also live on the island. No known children live on the island.

6) An retirement and care facility for the elite. Boasts the best accommodation and spa facilities on the West Coast.

7) An old Light house, used more as a tourist attraction than for it's original purpose these days.

8) A camp site on the lake, a common tourist destination

9) A huge farm for both Live stock and vegetables

10) An industrial area full of Warehouses. It's said that the facility holds anything you could possibly need. The trouble is finding it among the labyrinthine shelves.

11) A plane that so happened to be in the air space when the pilot disappeared. It crashed into the wall of the FAYZ and landed south of the hills

12) A bigger, more tourist based town boasting a population of 5000, residents though only 400 of which are children. Important features of the town include a shipyard, fire station and hospital.

13) A mysterious cave of which little is known.
