A group of SHSLs found themselves woke up in an unfamiliar surrounding, seemingly a school, the first thing they would realize was that their memory regarding how and why they were here were completely lost, and the next was the colorful and beautiful surroundings that they were in. Stepping out of the school, they would find themselves in a beautiful fantasy theme park, almost looking like a fantasy kingdom drew out straight from a fairy tale. The theme park was completely enclosed by a thick and tall wall, it was made clear to all of them that there was no escape, and they could hardly tell what was going on outside of the theme park too.
Everything seemed to be peaceful and fine, being trapped in a paradise-like place, it almost seemed like nothing bad could possibly happen, except when an asymmetric bear wearing a crown, claiming to be the "king" of the theme park, Monokuma, made its grand appearance, and also claimed that all of the SHSLs here are the beloved students of "Dreamer's Path Academy" when all of the SHSLs had no idea that they had become a student of the school and never heard of the school before.
Terror soon crept up to them when the bear decided to announce the beginning of a mutual murdering game between SHSLs.
