Background:


Epsilon has no memory of what things were like before coming to this world, truly he doesn't know if he even existed, one moment he want the next he was, surrounded by soldiers, some armed, some chanting, casting spells and wards around him. He was still young then, weak and feeble, looking to his captors as guardians. It wasn't until he was a little older that he started realizing what was actually happening to him. Constant testing day in and day out filled much of his early life, prodding with different sensors, exams and any other sort of test occupied his attention. It became clear very early that these people weren't his family. He was trained to fight, trained to use his ability's, often without the consent or knowledge of his captors, he absorbed languages one after another, he even began developing magical talents despite the best efforts of his captors. By the time he had been on this planet for nearly 40 years, and his body fully developed, he sought his freedom and so staged a training accident. One day while his captors tested him against one of the others like him Epsilon allowed himself to be beaten to a state near death for what his people were. However because his body was nothing more then a manifestation of raw magical energy and there for ever actually allive to begin with he simply needed to heal his bodys wounds within a few hours of being put down, by then he would be on his way to disposal. It was during his disposal phase that he chose to transform his body into mist, a power he had chosen not to reveal to that point, and drift away with the rest of the waist. Epsilon has spent his years trying to eek out a life often as an investigator and other times as a translator.

Demons and Mana


Mana fuels Epsilons body and nourishes it, it is his food and water. While he can eat normal food and drink normal liquids and digest it, it provides no nourishment to him. In order to consume Mana he must drain the life essences from the creatures around him. This process is far less diabolical then it actually sounds, Epsilon must get a hold of some creature (usually human but other creatures can provide it) and normally requiring a grapple check, afterwords he may draw a point of mana per turn from the creature, the creature is filled with a overwhelming sense of ecstasy and shortly afterwords forgets what happens. If Epsilon draws more then half the creatures physical essence and turns it to mana they grow sick and weary and must be hospitalized, if their entire physical essence is drained they die. (basically the blood sucking effect of vampires from the vampire the masquerade book)


Zuriel may spend a single point of mana in place of 2 fatigue or health, or may heal 2 levels of damage with 1 mana.
