  As bright as a summer's day, Willow has long sense embodied the same traits she did in her youth. Since the passing of her brother, the already withdrawn and quiet girl only became more quiet and more withdrawn. Spending more time in the forest with each day, Willow tends to shy away from other people, even her own family. She is reserved, keeps to herself, and prefers the trees to others in her district. She is diligent and hardworking and when she opens up, she's far more talkative than anyone would give her credit for. Despite the tragedies she's faced, being hopeful fuels her, even if she doesn't say it. With a sweet smile and a shy demeanor, it isn't unlikely for someone to underestimate the strength and pure willpower of her.   Born to the mountains, and raised by the trees, Willow Adler was cradled by the cold of her home. The only fridigeness the child knew, however, came from the environment she was raised in. Though the youngest of the Adler children, the hearth of the family kept them warm in the long winters, made nights of hunger manageable, and cultivated a world that was bearable to live in, even despite the cruelties and the hardships most faced.
  
  At age seven, Willow began accompanying her mother to the forests. While her father and brothers worked in the forest, the work of a lumberjack was difficult, strenuous and dangerous, especially for a young child. While trained workers could manage the risk adequately and reduce the danger, an eager and excitable little kid frolicking about in the world of axes and falling trees sounded reasonably injudicious. Holly held a different occupation, away from the logging and felling of trees, deep in the woods, high above the forest floors, tending to the health of the trees. Her job was crucial to the success of the harvest, of course. Ensuring trees were healthy, non-diseased, and strong guaranteed a healthy and plentiful yield for years in the future.
  
  Willow clung to the memory of her first time looking over the treetops. She was impossibly high. So high she swore she could touch the clouds. That the sky was only inches from her fingertips, calling out to her to make contact. The forest was endless, miles and miles of redwoods, cedars, firs and a million other trees. She could see the mountains, in all their glory, covered in a white and painting the blue sky with magnificence. Willow knew humans couldn’t fly, but lingering in the tops of those endless tall trees felt as close as she could get to soaring above everything.
  
  It took only a few months for Willow to learn the ropes– literally. Little hands went to work practicing knots after dinner, until the setting light of dusk made it impossible to see. She worked in twilight, sightlessly memorizing the feel of a knot, dedicating it to her memory until her body begged her to rest. Climbing came naturally to the child, the thick ropes twisted around the trunk of the tree fitting into small hands as she ascended a few inches. Inches turned to feet, and before long, Willow began working alongside her mother, apprenticing and learning the craft as meticulously as she could. Before long, Willow began working full time in the forests, just as her father and brothers did.
  
  The forest was impossibly quiet, only filled with the soft noises of wildlife and the muted clamoring of climbers as they completed their daily tasks. Even in the cold, dead of winter, Willow reveled each day of work.
  
  Though things seemed peaceful for the Alder family, the boys were aging, and with age came the risk of becoming a tribute. Willow’s disconnect from the Games was slowly ceasing, as she crept closer and closer to reaping age. Still, her mind settled in the Forest. While there was also the dread that one of her brothers might be reaped, the Alder family avoided the tragedy of the Games for several years, as they continued to work. Willow’s father insisted that she begin practicing woodcutting, as perhaps one day she would rather join him, and Cedar, should she get bored of climbing trees all day. She doubted it would happen, but enjoyed the time spent with her father, learning to hone her skills on the unique tool. Though she did not possess the years of knowledge her brothers did, her intuitive nature aided her in becoming adequate with an axe. Though, Willow had never been a fan of desecrating trees for the Capitol.
  
  With each passing year, one Alder came closer to escaping the Hunger Games, while Willow crept closer. Her first year in the reaping happened to be her eldest brothers last year. All the Alder children were eligible for the Games that year, all standing in anticipation, clustered with their peers and their neighbors, as they anxiously awaited the dreaded reading of names. Willow didn’t have much to worry about. Her brother’s hadn’t been called in years prior, her name was only placed once…

  It wasn’t possible. Something must have been a mistake. Hadley was only 15, his name was only supposed to be in four times. So how was it possible that, out of the hundreds of children that showed up for the reaping, he was called?
  
  That year, Hadley Alder died just hours after the game began. Killed by careers. One of the first handful of kids slaughtered in the arena. He was a bright boy, kind and generous and always smiling. He would never be a killer, but to have his life taken… so easily… To swiftly… So cruelly?
  
  For weeks, Willow spent her days in the Forest, returning home only for food every couple of days. It wasn’t like she could eat anyways. Instead, she spent her nights in the top of an old Redwood, where she and Hadley had managed to rig a hammock in the high branches. Willow wondered if running away could free her from the grief that came along with living in Panem. Escaping with her family to live in the tops of trees and to forage and sing and be happy… But it was only the fantasy of a hurt and grieving child.
  
  In the following year, Willow withdrew from many of those she called friends. She spent more time in the forest, working day in and day out. And each year reaping she prayed her brothers would escape the cruelties of the Games. Cedar was free, Ferric was next… Thankfully, the Alder children avoided being reaped for years. But their fate was not sealed, nor was it protected.   Visually striking, Rowan tends to attract attention when he enters a room. With his dark eyes and carefully styled hair, most eyes are drawn instinctively to him. Of course, previous to his Game, he enjoyed simple clothing and a messy appearance, but now, everything about him is preplanned and designed.   To the Capitol, Rowan is a charismatic and calm victor, one known to always play the role expected perfectly. Originally playing the "mysterious" card throughout his first visit, Rowan carries on with speaking plenty but saying little. A fan favorite, Rowan is not by any means the most popular victor, but win recency and his attitude certainly has him not short on admirers.
  However, his Capitol persona is largely an act. Rowan is internally an incredibly focused and driven individual. He has plenty of goals and will do just about anything to reach them. His tranquil persona masks the fact that Rowan is extremely observant, and one can count on him to notice the facts others overlook. He tends to understand what people expect of him, and often performs like a chameleon, shifting to find the perfect "fit" for a situation.

  Rowan was born into nothing, into a frigid old cabin with the bare minimum on the table and two parents who were too exhausted to pay mind to their son. The first years of his life were lonely, but the simplicity of the days taught the young boy key skills - observance and patience.
  
  Much of his later childhood was preparation for the workforce, with his father spending what little time he had off to train Rowan with an ax. Looking back, the victor could assume this was also a meager preparation for the games, coming from an emotionally distant father who wanted nothing but to see his son survive, but in the moment, it was a rare fun. Nevertheless, the boy picked it up quickly, and was preparing to begin to accompany his father to work when tragedy struck.
  
  It should've been a simple fever, but one day, Rowan's father came home with a horrid cough. Both his mother and him tried their hardest, but without the allowance for a doctor, nor the medical equipment to stop whatever was occurring, Rowan's father passed away in mere weeks. Five months later, his mother followed, after a harsh childbirth. At 11, Rowan was left with only himself and his baby brother, Oren. Although distant family acquaintances and kind strangers helped Rowan reach twelve, the tesserae for both Oren and himself was a necessity, and everyday survival was significantly more of a threat than the distant Hunger Games. Rowan entered the forest early, joining the lumberjacks out of need. Eventually, his skill with an axe was compounded by a body that was finally growing, and at 16, for the first time in his life, Rowan felt okay.
  
  Okay, at least, until the reaping, when his own name was called.
  
  In all honesty, the victor doesn't remember the days following, other than the touch of Oren clinging to his shoulders and the sound of him begging any and all who sent him off to watch over the younger boy. There was wonder, of course, after reaching the Capitol, but all was compounded by the ever-present grief, the absolute knowledge that Rowan's death was imminent. Until the interview.
  
  Although Rowan refused to play along, Caesar Flickerman refused to give in, joking and chatting until a sudden comment from Rowan made the crowd erupt in laughter. The joke wasn't all that funny, but in that moment, as Rowan looked up, a focus and clarity came across him. The rest of training was spent developing alliances and working harder than Rowan ever had before. Oren was not going to see his big brother come back in a casket.
  
  His own games were ruthless, with Rowan entering with a single-mindedness and detachment from reality. He betrayed alliances, tricked competitors, and set enough traps for the sponsors to come flooding in. Although he had won in a bloody final battle, the realization that Rowan had blood on his hands didn't come until after he was crowned. This cognizance sent Rowan into an utter tailspin, one from which he hasn't recovered from.
  
  Even so, returning home to Oren, having enough food to eat, and the knowledge that he had somehow survived were what kept the teen going.   Sweet, beautiful, and powerful, despite her dominating win in the 67th Hunger Games through intelligence and brutality, Rose is only smart when she wants to be. She loves gossip, loves the Capitol, and doesn't care much for intense conversations like a lot of her Victor counterparts do. With a loud mouth and a love for rumors, Rose definitely fits into the crowd of Capitol citizens as if she'd grown up there her entire life. Despite having just one the Hunger Games, it seems the Games did not take as much a toll on her, as she was a Career. In fact, she often recounts the deaths of the other tributes as if she's talking about the latest fashion trends.   Rose won the 67th Hunger Games with Gloss as her mentor. She volunteered happily for her games, as she hailed from a Career district. Her district partner was mentored by Gloss' sister, Cashmere, an elite pair of siblings and Victors that one years prior. Her games was a bloody and violent one, though on her Victory Tour, her demeanor was noted as cheer-y, optimistic, and patriotic, as she sang praises to the Capitol and President Snow for giving her an opportunity to fight and repay the debts of her forefathers and bring pride to her District. Well beloved in the Capitol, her next step was to become a mentor, though she doesn't have much interest in it.
