Iliya had an easier life than most. Money was no problem for her family, seeing as both of her parents were hard-working doctors and she was an only child. Of course, things were lonely for her, but she kept herself entertained with the various toys and nannies she had. She was never a demanding child, either. She was gracious and appreciative of what she had, but sadly, every high has a comedown. As things were looking smooth for her as a child, when she went to school, things started changing.
As many children do, they picked on favored her over the other children. Since she was quiet and polite, obeyed directions, and didn't talk back, she was often chosen to be a teacher's pet. Adults ended up being her closest friends. For recess, she would stay inside and help the teachers clean or she would just aimlessly talk to them about matters in their lives, same with lunch. Iliya for her strange name, weird hair color, and large appearance. She was bullied and shunned because of it, making her ashamed. Most days she hid her hair in a hat and wore baggy clothing to hide her shape. She stayed with herself, mostly because no one else wanted to talk to her, but also because she was a shy individual. Even though the kids were mean to her, the teachers weren't. In fact, they favored her over the other children. Since she was quiet and polite, obeyed directions, and didn't talk back, she was often chosen to be the teacher's assistant. Adults ended up being her closest friends. For recess, she would stay inside and help the teachers clean or just aimlessly talk to them about matters in their lives.
It was like that as she grew up. The bullying didn't stop, her shame for her body continued on, but something changed. She was still friends with her teachers, but she respected them. She wanted to be like them when as she grew older. They were the only people she could really talk to if you didn't count the nannies, and she didn't want any other child going through was she did, so she decided that when she graduated high school, she would become a teacher.
And she did. She graduated as valedictorian of her class and went off to college to study education, but most importantly, biology. She guessed that because her parents were doctors, she had a natural instinct to help others, and a fascination with the human body, so she studied to become a biology teacher, and by 22 years old, she was a high school biology teacher.
The year after she became a teacher, she noticed a brown haired and brown eyes boy being bullied by his pupils. Immediately, she intervened and befriended him, his name being Lenon. She helped him through academics and his hardships, and when she was offered to chaperone a trip to Japan that Lenon was going on, she jumped at the opportunity.
It was very bad timing on their part, and sadly, it did not end up well.
