When times seem dark,

And you feel like falling apart.

Know you’re not alone,

In this world unknown.

I’ll be there,

When you’re feelin’ scared.

To light your candle,

with mine.

Guiding you out of this night,

Without fright.

So take my hand,

And we’ll leave this land.

Dry your tears,

And let’s get out of here.

In the silent dark of night,

When all is void of light.

Thoughts arise,

With unpleasant surprise.

Ripping and tearing,

Every word so searing.

The cage is sprung,

Demons coming out to run.

Falling deeper into the pit of despair,

Without the slightest of air.

Crying to be saved,

Until the end of her days.

This is beautiful, and sadly happens a lot. While I don't exactly "draw", I feel like I can partially relate. I lost to friends to suicide last year, and almost lost a friend this year.

Sorry for a late reply... And I'm really sorry to hear that. It happens to the best of us. I haven't "Drawn" in a week or two, and I was kinda in a bad state when I wrote this... I'm happy it's still getting attention ^-^

@Kestrel Thats good ( :) )
Yeah, I was really worried about her. She lives 10 hours away, so I couldn't do a while lot for her.

Congratulations, then. Just baby steps, and soon you'll get through this. If you ever need someone to talk to, PM me.

To the one I once held close to my heart,

many weeks and months had past since we fell apart.

At first, moving on proved to be an impossible feat.

For many nights I tossed and turned, dreaming of our first meet.

However, dreams are but dreams, memoirs of the past.

Slowly, I grew weary at how long this feeling lasts.

Unbeknownst to you, for you already had a suitor in line.

I drowned my woes with beer and cheap wine.

The drunken fool was my identity for days.

Memories of myself sobbing and weeping were clear, not hazed.

But, I thank these memories of sorrow and pain.

As I remembered something, something you cannot hope to re-gain.

It's freedom! Sweet freedom! Something you've restrained.

I feel sorry for this new suitor who is next to be re-framed.

At first, he'll think, "wow, she's such a delight!"

And then, and only then, will you bare your fangs of blight.

I'm glad you left, I'm so glad you did.

I tip my hat, farewell I bid.

For the girl I once knew, the girl I once loved.

This girl is no more; goodbye my sweet dearly beloved.

For this new woman who states she knew herself not,

severed our red string of fate, cutting it from the knot.

I still hold a fragment old one in my heart,

along with the frayed string from before we fell apart.

BUSTY HOURGLASS OKASHI.

YOU DIDN'T TELL MEH U WERE GOOD AT POETREH

Just Kidding

It wasn't long before we formed a bond.

We would laugh and play,

All throughout the day.

Just two kids having fun.

Everything was fine,

I had your back and you had mine.

Thick as thieves.

Jabs and taunts,

Here and there.

But that was okay we were just kidding.

The years went on and we still sang the same song.

Growing like weeds,

And meeting new seeds.

Expanding our garden.

Maturing together,

In this fine weather.

Two peas in a pod,

Who were rather quite odd.

You laughed at my awkward appearance.

But that was okay you were just kidding.

Puberty hits dislodging our lives from one another.

Marking a new age,

One of confusion and change.

A dreadful time.

Hair in strange places,

And volcanoes on our faces.

Your new friends sneer.

Their words bring,

Unwanted sting.

But that was okay by you they were just kidding.

There is no longer a you and me.

Memories so great,

Are replaced by your hate.

When did your presence become a disease?

In school,

I'm now label the fool.

You are the Hunter and I the Deer.

It's your arrows which pierce,

My tender flesh.

But I'm afraid your no longer just kidding.

Fall tantalizes Summer with her seductive dance.

Senior year will soon fly by,

But all I can do is cry.

It is in Death where I'll find serenity.

I won't place blame,

For I doubt you'll feel any shame.

Just know I've cherished the friendship we once had.

Goodbye my dearest friend,

this is where my story ends.

For I am not just kidding...

Her sister had scars,

That covered her arms and her heart.

Bitter tears and angry words.

Things she thought no one heard.

She heard them in the dark of night,

Away, out of sight.

Instead of trying to help,

She ran away,

afraid for herself.

Hidden from her family,

Envious of her sister's bravery.

Unwritten rules,

Played by fools.

Afraid of copying,

Afraid of being seen.

She didn't know how to say those words,

"It's okay, I also hurt."

So she shut them away,

Those words and feelings that made her afraid.

Her sister had scars,

On her arms and her heart,

Proof of battles that she's won,

Proof that life isn't all fun.

She had scars,

on her arms, on her heart.

But her's aren't proof of victory,

Her's are a secret from the family.
