Man Eating Mermaid
This is a poem I wrote one day when I was feeling a little lost after some recent life events.
I Am Woman
Today I am a women,
But my baby steps are of a little girl.
The world is my oyster,
But I will not let the reality suckle my breast into a rasin.
I am a woman,
drunk on change and lached to growing pains,
Each day my body aches for a better future.
Today I am a child, but also a woman, with a gaping womb which bleeds if not fed.
I am a woman, but I tumble into expectation with ripe body and messy mind.
