This Is Me
Somewhere
Thelonious trained his eyes on the surrounding clearing, trying to concentrate rather than watch Lo wander round him in circles. The way she moved was effortless, a clear sign of the amount of training she'd been through over the years. He scratched behind his neck once more, his cheeks tinging red as he tried to find three things he could hit effortlessly, and coming up blank, bar for a tree, and there were plenty of them.
"Well, I'd say I can hit the tree directly in front of me." Knowing he would just from the sheer size of the trunk. It wasn't much of a task, but after his failed attempts with the deer, he was keen to show Lo that he could actually hit something. Turning in a slow circle, his eyes flickered around, searching. "I guess, the fallen log on the other side of the stream there." Thelonious said, motioning over to the log with a thick layer of green moss covering it. "And... as for a third thing, I guess I could try a branch on a tree? Would those three things work?" He turned to Lo, grinning sheepishly, knowing he probably hadn't spotted half the things she'd be able to point out.
