Fantasy Howling At The Moon

Fuck Off, Please!

There is a forest.. Far away from those wretched humans. And this forest shelters a special pack. A pack of wolves who are rare to human eyes. This mystical forest shelters many creatures. But we'll get to that. These wolves are special, they have been given the gift of flight.. Powers.. And especially given the gift of howling at the moon.

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_12/image.jpg.af28376efd1e83139d57bfc7800a5304.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="35937" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_12/image.jpg.af28376efd1e83139d57bfc7800a5304.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

But something dark and evil has taken half of the forest..... What will the wolves do? They follow what the wind says. The winds whisper to never cross the stream. Or else you'll never return. But for some. Curiosity got the best of them. And they did never return. Some are determined to find out while others want to stay safe. Humans though are now moving a bit closer. But not very close. So they have to be careful when they go hunt and explore. For now... Hopefully.. It'll stay as a regular pack day.

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_12/image.jpg.6d0db42545e074628f2497ac52085369.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="35936" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_12/image.jpg.6d0db42545e074628f2497ac52085369.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

The forest is quite beautiful, so it's hard not to travel around. These are the sacred ponds of the forest. Healers usually have there dens by here. They use the water to drink at times, only when very sick or low in health, they say, Mother Nature blessed these ponds and the area for the wolves in a time of need. Also expectant mothers are usually near here. Taking a drink from here to ensure there life and her pups.

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_12/image.jpg.f22c90540a618aa9a9e78bee258c23bf.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="35938" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_12/image.jpg.f22c90540a618aa9a9e78bee258c23bf.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Dens around the forest usually look like this. Be careful and be polite before walking into a den. Try not to start conflict, since this is a very peaceful pack. And the pack is always forgiving. So that means second chances and support.

_________________________________________________________

What is on the other side of the Stream?

Will the humans take over later on or will the wolves fight before it's too late?

They say if you go the sacred ponds when the moon light is shining on them... You'll find a gift, a dream come true...

Dawn / Astra / The Forest / 'Phase' 1

*"Fresh beginning.."*

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_12/image.jpg.880eef314d38272029af9f906d6e7265.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="36090" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_12/image.jpg.880eef314d38272029af9f906d6e7265.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Today was a new day. A new fresh beginning. Every day was a new beginning for Astra, that is. Astra had many things to worry about. But Astra always tried to stay on the positive side. The sun crept into the temperate forest, it rained a little last night. So the leaves glistened magnificently. Astra sighed. She was maybe the only one awake? Probably few hunters or warriors were awake. How about her one and only favorite pup? Probably. Astra strolled out. The sun also crept onto the kill pile. It was fresh. Some of the hunters were awake, and delighting her gratefully. She looked back at her mate, Mithos. Astra snatched a little piece. She might eat a bit more later. And walked back toward her big and roomy den. Settling down next to the probably snoozing Mithos, Astea laid her head down against his stomach. Not putting all her weight, just enough to might wake him up. She nudged him playfully, she loved the feeling of his warm soft coat. Before reeling back and sniffing her food. She nibbled it. Mithos are her mate and being alpha has put pressure on her. Lately you may have seen her more down. She is expecting pups later on. Though she hasn't told anyone yet. But the Shamans/Healers will probably find out soon enough.. Her blueish purple and white fur rustled in the slight wind. Ah. The wind. Mother Nature sends the winds to the wolves always if they need it. Or for pleasure. Or if she is just happy she nicely gives them a cool breeze. She was day dreaming now.. About how Mother Nature would actually come out and play and dance with her amazing creations. Astra blinked about two times to snap out of it. Astra looked out her den... Wow. The sun went up faster than usually. The pack had a regular routine. Astra would howl to signal the pack for another start of a day. Her comrades in the pack are used to this. She sees some wolves head, poking of of there dens.

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_12/image.jpg.d918a229474e7f07f6b31d66e007e48a.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="36093" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_12/image.jpg.d918a229474e7f07f6b31d66e007e48a.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

They seem to be waiting.. Patiently... So they could howl in unison. Astra nudged Mithos one last time. And she nodded and looked around. Astra saw Iris, and probably her little cute pup was around there somewhere.. She shook her head raised her head, and howled. Humans around this time found it lucky to hear them howl. They do it every day but they are quite far. So they cannot hear that far away. Though they are so clever and have different physical appearances.... Making red flowing gas that can hurt you.. It's actually quite scary to Astra. She continued on, wolves followed. It was fine if you started late. It would sound and mix in perfectly. Iris was howling. Along with other wolves. Signaling a fresh new beginning. A fresh new start that is the day.

Peppa would be nowhere to be seen. She was currently on a little adventure on her own. She wasn't to far from the pack, but iris knew where she was. Peppa was unconscious in their den. Her adventure took place in her dreams.

Kefna was needlessly patrolling the edges vicinity. He didn't participate in the morning howl, but this wasn't a new thing. Kefna always seemed to be in a fowl mood and almost never spoke to anyone.

Eaven - {{Eey-Van}}

A slight breeze flickered around the clearing that Eaven lay in, eyes closed in a simple dream of foggy ice. An expanse of frosted ground lay in front of him, stinging his paws in a manner that he didn't care for. Nonetheless, he continued to trek forward, breath creating small, quickly dissipating clouds in front of him that his pace allowed him to quickly leave it behind. His footprints were left as glowing dents in the ice, ice cracking around each step. Other than that, there was no noise. His blood did not roar through his own ears, nor did his heart beat in his chest. Another brush of wind licked his fur and his eyes opened to the shining of the sun, his alabaster fur shimmering slightly from the light where it stuck out from under his scales. His tail switched slightly to the side as he sat up, back popping slightly as his chops opened to allow a greater flow of air to enter his lungs. The sound of a howl entered his ears and reverberated in his skull and, instinctively, joined in the chorus with a song of his own.

Shadow was awoken abruptly by the sound of howling, not too far away, but not particularly close either. He growled, a bit irritated, but also slightly relieved, because he had not been been enjoying his dream very much. All he saw in it was darkness, animals dying and blood everywhere, but through all of that he could just make out the shape of another wolf, who smiled wickedly at Shadow then disappeared. Shadow wasn't sure, but he thought that he recognized the wolf in the dream, from where, he does not know. He quickly shook himself as if to dispel the thoughts of the strange dream, and joined in with the howling that echoed through the forest.

A comfortable wind met Mithos as he opened his eyes, awakened by a soft touch to his abdomen. His eyes wandered down, and his tail did a slight movement as he saw Astra moving away from him. He extended on of his wings and grazed her with it, before stretching both of them out to their full length, almost touching all corners of the den, and the den was rather spacious. He'd found a strange pride in having one of the biggest wingspans that he'd ever seen in his pack, but sometimes it did come with certain complications. He let out a low grunt as he rose from the ground and folded the wings back in close to his body, and walked up next to Astra, sitting down just a little behind her.

His gray eyes wandered across the scene outside, all the wolves howling in unison. If he hadn't seen it so many times already, he'd most likely get sentimental from the view. His eyes eventually got caught on something much farther away. Though not looking at anything in particular, Mithos gazed into the forest and a thought struck him. Quietly, barely audible under the howling, he whispered "There's something magical about it, isn't there?"

He filled his lungs with air, and joined in with the howling. He added just a little more force to be heard above most others, and the cave amplified his howling sending it echoing through the forest. The alpha had to keep his looks up, after all.

Shizuki had woken up a little late, she had decided it was time that she join the howling. She walked up to the group that was howling and joined them. Her howl sounded like a mournful howl with a bit of happiness, making the group howl sound like a warning and a welcoming at the same time. She thought in her head "What power we have as a pack. We are one, there are never many of us, we all work as one."

Astra was satisfied with the many howls today. Like very day, she looked over to her mate proudly and ended the howl. A hunter quickly ran up to Astra. "Astra.." The hunter bowed. "Would you like anything else? We haven't caught much today. The elk were so frightened. Even before my group had approached them. And the numbers of them lowered quickly. I'm afraid elk won't be our main food choice later on." The orange and yellow winged wolf said. Astra shook her head. Her soothing voice, spilled out. "No, my child. It is fine. After a few weeks, the deers population will increase hopefully. Mother Nature would never to such a thing and dwindle her creations. Unless she is mad or has a reason to. Go to the Shamans if it still worries you so, the spiritual connection with Shamans are strong. Now, you are dismissed." The hunter bowed his head down to Astra, then widened his eyes. "Mithos.." He quickly bowed his head down to him and scampered off. Astra sighed as she finally spread her wings out. They were large, but her mates were larger. Astra chuckled. She then sat down back in her den. Sighing. "Mithos.. I would have something to tell you. But first. You should eat," She tucks in her wings and sigh.

Iris / Dawn / The Forest / 'Phase' 1

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_12/image.jpg.6fcddad741529ceb234bbbf5ed84bb9d.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="36169" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_12/image.jpg.6fcddad741529ceb234bbbf5ed84bb9d.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Iris sighed. She finished her howling and dove right into her den immediately. Her actually quite roomy den. With a bunch of moss and leaves all over it. She had to make it nice. She just had to. Iris forgot. She trotted out and toward the kill pile, picking up a elk thigh. All for her pup. Iris wasn't going to eat. She only had ate time to time. She was actually getting quite skinny.... Not very healthy. She cared about Peppa more than she cared about herself at the moment. Peppa has grown and can eat meat. So since then, Iris sometimes went out and hunt down small prey and give it to Peppa. Iris went down, and laid Peppas breakfast to the side. Iris nudged Peppa a little. And licked her head as she laid down next to her Pup. She laid her head down next to Peppas and closed her eyes. She wasn't going to fall asleep. But just rest. Iris even planned out her whole day today.. Visit the ponds and the Shamans to get a drink for herself and Peppa. Then give Peppa a check up. And so much more... It will be a looooong day....

@azimuth @Prizzy Kriyze Here ya gooo~

@DescriptedEnd @JKthegreat @HollyLeafForever I recommend interacting with someone. REMEMBER. I have four characters. Two of them are Shamans. They are by the ponds. You can meet them there and interact with them. My two shamans know pretty much everybody well. Also feel free to interact with the rest of my characters. ^_^

After the final wolf's howl had dissipated, Shadow stretched one last time and headed out of his den, that was quite small, but had space to stand up and to sleep which, as he saw it, was all he really needed. His den was a fair way apart from the others, because he preferred to have somewhere where he could be by himself. Noise and disruption didn't always suite him very well. He instinctively looked towards the kill pile as he got closer to the rest of the wolves, but turned away immediately. He had been quite put off his apatite after his fairly...distasteful dream. He then headed over to the pond, of course finding one of the sibling shamans, Liane, there. He gave a slight nod, as a sign of respect, though it wasn't completely necessary and greeted her with a fairly quiet "Good Morning."

Peppa groaned as she was nudged. She changes position and still slept. She breathed deeply, gaining a big wiff of the meat in front of her. Her eyes flung open. Foood. She got up, gave iris a quick like on the flame in thanks, the essentially pounced on the elk thigh... Iris may feel something scamper along her back at the base of her wings. It stops for a moment, then scampers again, leaping off of her and climbing to the roof of the den.

Dawn / Liane / The Ponds / 'Phase' 1

Liane smiled. Nodding back. She trotted over to him. "Good morning, Shadow." Her fiery looking tail flicked. She leaned against him playfully, her tail brushing again this back legs. She nuzzled his neck. Liane was quite flirtatious. Liane laughed and sat down. "How are you, Shadow? You feel sick maybe? ......Nightmare....?" She said, offering him a sip of the pond.

Shadow felt a slight flicker of a smile appear on his face as she approached and nuzzled his neck, but was quickly replaced with his normal, alert, serious look. He nodded again in appreciation and took a few sips of the pond water. "A dream" he said after his head emerged out of the pond "Nothing I particularly want to discuss." He winced slightly as a few images from the nightmare started to flash through his mind. That wolf he thought to himself, closing his eyes briefly Something so familiar about him...but it feels like its a bad kind of familiar.

The howling stopped, and in a single movement Mithos switched from howling to yawning. He blinked a couple of times, and look over at Astra and the hunter. He was visibly disappointed by the news about the elks, as they happened to be his favourite, but he'd survive. He simply nodded to the hunter as he passed by him. Sometimes he wondered what it would be like to beat down on the first best person to look at him in the morning, like his old alpha had. He looked over at Astra. "Mithos.. I would have something to tell you. But first. You should eat." He leaned his head slightly over to the side, but acquiesced to her. He approached the pile of food and bit down on a large piece of meat.

He finished quickly. He'd picked up the habit of eating fast a very long time ago, and he still stuck with it simply because he didn't want to waste time on it. He turned back towards Astra and slowly walked towards her. He circled around her once, closely so that their fur grazed against eachother, and then sat down a little in front of her. He looked into her blue eyes, and he softly spoke "Astra.. What do you have to tell me?" He usually spoke a lot more jokingly and lightheartedly, but when he was with Astra he acted... more mature. He felt like she deserved that.

(Oh yeah, actually added a little bit as his backstory, if anyone's interested.)

Iris / Dawn / The Forest / 'Phase' 1

Iris was quite happy that her Pup was awake, "Peppa. Wanna visit Vesi today? He has a surprise for you at the ponds.a leo he'll do those cool water tricks." Her voice rang.. She then froze. Shivering as she felt something jump off her back.......... She cal etched her teeth and looked down at her pup. "P-Peppa.. You still want that um, spider of yours.. Spindle, right?..." She took a deep breath. Licking Peppas face again happily she just out that behind her. "Anyways. I better see that bone picked off clean. If you can't eat all of that, just tell me, but then you have to eat half." She said.

Liane frowned. "Oh... Alright. Maybe you should stay around. Do you need anything to shake it off? Or are you fine? You can relax. Don't worry." Liane said, whimpering as she nudged him with her nose. "Vesi and I could let you stay around. Maybe you've been stressed out, or the dream was a spiritual sign...... If you described. It may help. BUT. You don't have to." She nudged his again. Licking the side of his face.

Astra / Dawn / The Forest / 'Phase' 1

Astra sighed.. Looking out of the den, and not looking at him straight in the eye. That quickly tells you something is wrong. She said quietly. "Well. The pack doesn't know either. But I didn't think you have noticed a little. The pups might be actually on their way," She said with happiness in her voice, but a sad look in her eyes. Odd. Her tail swished and she laid down against her mate, their warmth mingling. "I don't think.. I can be a good mother." She said with sadness. "Mithos,.." She started but ended with a whimper. Her eyes closed as she stays close to her partner.

Shadow realized that he needed to talk to someone about this nightmare of his, and a shaman, especially one he trusted, seemed a good source to confide in. "There was a wolf in the dream." He said, looking down at his paws in sort of embarrassment "I recognized him. From where, i still can't quite figure out. But around us there was..." Shadow clenched his jaw tightly and turned his head slightly to look Liane in the eye "Blood. Suffering. Death. For what seemed like miles that's all I could see. Then the other wolf...he sort of...smiled at me. A smile that made by blood curdle. Then, he disappeared, and I woke up." He looked down at his paws again as he finished his explanation.

Peppa would basically ignore her mother, preferring to eat. as does her pet spider, spindle. He catches the insects that occasionally wander into den. He turns out to be a great asset during the night. Peppa finishes her meal, but there is still quite a bit left.. Which she noses over to iris.

Liane was wide eyed for a minutes. "No... That probably means something wicked coming your way. Maybe some wolf. If you have any enemies, or things who had bad history stay away and kept caution. But it may just be a sigh of bad luck. Don't worry, Mother Nature will protect you. And we will." She said referring to the whole pack. Liane nuzzled him again. "Take another sip if it does calm your nerves. If you need to relax for today..." Liane whimpered. "Hopefully nothing bad happens to you.."

Iris huffed. Picking a tiny piece of piece off and nibbled it. "Peppa.. Are you full? If so, let's head to the ponds. Vesi is waiting. " She began to stand up, she shakes off her white wings a little, sighing. She could see the small beams of sunlight going into the den, she smiled at it. It made a lovely looking pattern against he leaves and den floor. Iris looked back down at Peppa. She didn't want to rush her but... The faster the better...

Peppa glared at her. It seems the table of mother and daughter have changed. Peppa nudges the remaining chunk of meat towards iris. "eat it." she demanded.

Shadow gave a gruff sigh in response, and looked into the pond, not drinking from it though. "That is not really my worry." He said calmly and sternly at the same time "The consequences put onto me due to my past, however bad or horrifying they maybe, are my business and are my duty to bare. My true worry is whether some of those consequences may fall to some of the rest of the pack." He slowly turned to look at her again. "They may even fall upon you" he said, his voice changing from worry to deep concern "That is what I really am wary for, and what I need to think about. If it comes down to it, and my presence here puts the rest of you in danger, I may have to...make other arrangements, somehow."

"Well. The pack doesn't know either. But I didn't think you have noticed a little. The pups might be actually on their way," Mithos twitched, and looked up at her. "Really? That's great!" There was excitement in his voice, but it quickly faded when he noticed the way she looked away. "... what's wrong?" he asked as she laid down beside him. "I don't think.. I can be a good mother." Mithos went quiet. He just looked down at his mate with eyes hiding the thoughts of his mind. "Mithos..."

He spread his wing and laid it over her, and nuzzled closer. "You don't have to worry about anything..." He rubbed his side against her fur, and continued "Just look at how all the other pups look up to you! Besides, I'll be in this with you, and if we're ever obstructed, then there's Liane, Vesi and Iris to look after them. Not to mention that there's Kefna to protect them, and I think we can count on Erebus for looking out for them as well." He closed his eyes and relaxed next to her. "There's nothing to be afraid of. We've got everything on our side."

Shizuki was un-sure what to do, she had been busy for a little while and was quite bored with what she was doing.

It did not look like the food pile needed filling and everyone was calm at the current moment. She was walking around when she heard Mithos and Astra discussing the news of the pups coming soon.

She smiled as she walked past there den, "Congratulations, you'll be a fine mother." She sighed as she kept on walking. She thought to herself what would it be like to have a pup? Would it be fun? She started walking towards the open plains way outside of any of the wolf packs boundaries. She liked it there, it was wild and free no rules and best of all it was quiet.

Eaven - {{Eey-Van}}

With the howl ended, he let out a sigh. Eaven fully exited his den, tail dragging limply behind him and creating a barely visible path in the ground. As most other Shamans had, Eaven lived by the Sacred Ponds. His den was a shallow hole dug in under a rock, a slight roofing type structure formed by the cliff of the stone. Around the den was a circular lip from edge. Before he had put together the vital structure, he had gotten no sleep on rainy nights; pooled water would run into the den and flood him out, making the area uncomfortably wet. Most nights, the chimeric wolf would sleep with only his hind legs in the shelter of the den, the rest of him splayed out the open air, seeping in the raw sounds of nature.

A growl erupted from his stomach and he trotted away from the den, wading through the tall grass and shortly finding himself near camp. While he typically shied away from other wolves, when he saw Shadow and Lane, he flicked his ear in a greeting and continued on his way. As per usual, his head was down and his tail now raised slightly above the ground, a habit from his early pup days. He typically didn't like raising his head up with other wolves around, so his eyes stayed glued to the ground where he was walking. He picked a small piece of kill of the pile and stood off to the side, carefully ripping off pieces and consuming them. With as light of fur as he did, it was easy to stain it.

When the food was gone, Eaven allowed himself a small glance up. He noticed that Astra and Mithos were quietly discussing something. Curiosity pricked at his paws and his ears angled forward slightly, eyes refocusing on the ground. He debated walking over and questioning them if anything was wrong, but he halted himself. If they were being so secretive, them they obviously didn't want anybody interfering with their conversation.

Velid

Velid had been awake for a while, staring at the wall of his den. He heard the howling but he didn't even bother trying to join. His den was farthest from the camp, due to maybe two things: He is an Omega and he wanted to isolate himself from everyone. Rarely anyone visited him and he wanted so. He doesn't want to hurt anyone else again. Why does it keep haunting me... Why does it even exist... Why was I chosen... He thought to himself, spacing out as he kept staring at the wall. He was getting thinner and thinner everyday due to his lack of food. He doesn't go out to hunt unless he was feeling tired from hunger.

Peppa glared at her. It seems the table of mother and daughter have changed. Peppa nudges the remaining chunk of meat towards iris. "eat it." she demanded.
Iris / Dawn / The Forest / 'Phase' 1

Iris eyes widened. She gave out a small growl of irritation. "Peppa. I brought that for you, so you shall eat it." She said her ears perked forward and tail high in the air. Iris waited. She wasn't going to eat. "Now will you continue to eat or shall we go to Vesi?"

Liane frowned... "No.. Everything will be fine. Mother Nature will protect you!! We'll protect you. Please don't worry. If something is bothering you then I will do as much as I can to stop it. If something bad happens to me?" She huffed. "I'm worried about you more than about myself." She nuzzled him softly, to comfort him even though he looks like he's taking this calmly...

Astra / Dawn / The Forest / 'Phase' 1

Astra nuzzled him, but whimpered... "You're right...... Hopefully.. Everything will be okay." She was disrupted. And kind of angry as the beta heard them. She shook her head, "Mithos, I'm so very sure you'll be a great father. I just know it.." She said sighing. Astras body heat mingled with his as the laid there silently.
