There is a section here BBCode Center which is dedicated to BBcode you can use to make your forum posts look beautiful. It has tutorials and samples provided by many users. You can also ask questions if you don't understand something there.
The best way would be check out tutorials and try yourself within Private Workshop!
P.S. You don't *need* coding to roleplay! It's mostly for cosmetic enhancement of your posts
