Name: Cleo M. Thayer
Nickname(s): "Kae" (parents), "Your Majesty" (most of his friends, usually sarcastically)
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: Cleo’s features consist of sharp, hard lines rounded off by soft edges. A jawline that looks like it could cut and an angled, straight nose is accompanied by soft petal lips and almond-shaped eyes that can’t decide whether to be gray or green. His dark hair is often left in an organized chaos, a somewhat slicked back, kind of messy style that contrasts against his, more often than not, perfectly worn uniform. Cleo is of an average height but can fool others on first glance as he looks tall due to his proportions. He is, like the vast majority of students in Celia, very fit. Although not build like an ox, unlike some, he is toned and tightly packed within his lean figure.
Personality: Cleo is an observer. He keeps track of all the things happening around him and does so with a clear, logical vision. As a result, he often comes across as rather cold and aloof, detached from the world around him. It is not that he has no reactions, it is not rare to spot him smiling or laughing with his friends, or even that his reactions seem fake. Rather, it is something about the look in his eyes that makes it seem almost as if he was not a fellow member of reality but a player watching from above as the game plays out.
Despite his usual nonchalance, however, there are certain specific things and people that manage to press a metaphorical switch inside him. Once this switch is pressed, Cleo can become intense, passionate, even fanatical. When he decides that he really wants one thing, he stops at nothing to get it. He would climb mountains, swim across oceans and tear down cities if that was what it would take to reach his destination. He’s almost crazy in his fervent determination to achieve his goal once he sets his mind on a target or task.
Due to the above fact, Cleo also tends to be more on the negative side of the morality scale. He is not above manipulation and, in fact, often uses people and their feelings to his advantage. His own image is always kept sparkly clean in records and in front of anyone who matters but any reasonably smart student in Celia knows by now that Cleo Thayer is not an entity you can simply cross and be fine afterward. That being said, he is not heartless or needlessly cruel. However, he is also not kind or merciful. If something is in his way, he gets rid of it, plain and simple.
Although he projects an indifferent and often intimidating image of himself, Cleo has a sizable group of followers as well as a much smaller but very loyal bunch of close friends. When he is around people he considers friends, he is much more open and affable. Cleo has a sarcastic streak, quick wit and silver tongue that is both endearing and infuriating. Surprisingly, he can also be rather wild at times. Teachers may have a heart attack if they were to find out all the empty alcohol bottles they find dumped at the back of the school are not from the delinquents they keep hounding but their beloved elite clique.

Weapon Name: Shifting Seasons
Weapon Description: The Shifting Seasons is a Rank S Weapon, one of the seven-part Imperialis Series by Astrid Severus. The Shifting Seasons has a unique ability that, like all other Imperialis Weapons, has yet to be recreated perfectly in any other Rank Weapon, making it one of the handful of one-of-a-kind Weapons in the world. It takes the primary form of a silver cuff but is able to change form into various weapons, including a variety of blades, shields and electric (zero-bullet) guns. An extremely powerful Weapon that is also, unfortunately, famously difficult to master, it was last held nearly five decades ago by General Maevis Thayer.

BACKGROUND INFO
Cleo Mikaela Thayer, born Cleo Hannes, is the adopted only son of Duke Troy Thayer and Sir Jedan Elliot-Thayer as well as the current heir to the Thayer Dukedom, one of the most powerful noble families in Kingdom X.
He was born into a declining noble family who were distant relatives of the main Thayer family. When he turned 7, he was allowed to train and take the test along with other children from various other sub-families under the Thayers. He was a clear stand-out from the start and was quickly noticed for his immense talent in combat. He was first taken as an apprentice of his now foster father, a knight, but was eventually officially adopted as a legitimate son of the Thayer family.
His adopted parents were very kind, loving and lenient parents in all areas but one - fights. He had to train extensively to improve his skills from a young age and was made to enter competitions against people older than him. The first time he lost a fight, he was only 12 years old and going up against a Year 1 from Celia. When he was knocked down to the floor, gasping, vision swimming and in pain, the taste of crushing defeat was more bitter than that of the sand in his mouth. He still remembers that moment, the ringing yells from the audience, the throbbing pain in his chest and the look of clear disappointment in his parents’ eyes. He hated it. He was determined never to feel like that again.
Defeat is inevitable when all you do is fight, of course, but his losses were as rare as his victories were numerous. Fast forward to a year ago, Cleo had a reputation of invincibility before he even stepped foot into Celia Academy. He was the talk of the town when he entered as a Year 1 and was being challenged left and right. Naturally, however, he still kept his seat at the top.
Indeed, keeping himself at the top was quite easy. Keeping his entire Deck at the top was anything but. It took him a lot of effort to create the so-called miracle, especially working with seniors who were technically ranked above him and didn’t want to do a thing he asked. He still pulled through, though, eventually.
To Cleo, Celia Academy isn’t a place to learn, it’s a place to gather as many titles and records as he possibly could stick into a portfolio. In their world, where everything is determined by strength, even his “official” title as the heir could be challenged and taken away. He needs to be completely undeniable. So extremely perfect that all those old men won’t be able to find a single fault with him as a soldier, leader and general human being even if they used magnifying glasses.
So far, it’s four out of four clean wins. Now he just has to keep that up for 2 more years.
Extras:
- Cleo is not good at everything (gasp). He particularly sucks at art. You can ask him to draw an apple and he’d still somehow fail at it.
- Cleo thinks his adopted parents are the ideal for a couple. He admires that, among other things, they could walk into military meetings as professionals and argue against each other the entire day yet, at the end of it all, they can still relax and find comfort in each other.
- Yogurt = Yes.
- Cleo’s actually sucker for the “late night conversations, across-the-room stares and subtle touches” aesthetic though he might never admit it.
- It is usually very clear when Cleo’s alcohol tolerance has been exceeded. A drunk Cleo, although rare, has proven himself much more...hands-on than normal Cleo and has an odd fixation on biting people.
- More to be added…
