Name: Miria Ardent

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Height: 158cm

Weight: 55kg

Student/Teacher: Student

Magi/Ace: Magi

Power/Skill:

Fluxus magic - Miria is able to make any object explode. She can also increase the explosive force of anything explosive. I.E: Increasing the blast power of a firecracker to that of a grenade. The only drawback is that she needs to touch the object for it to work with only the touched area actually exploding.

Shielding - A secondary ability that Miria developed. It puts up a barrier that can withstand explosions. The largest size it can be is roughly about a meter radius around Miria. The drawback is that the shields vanish after one hit

Rifle training - Knowledgeable with the use and mechanisms of bolt-action rifles. Personally owns a Kar98k rifle.

Personality:

Miria has a very detached personality. Her speech and thinking would rarely match her actions. For example she would be eating lunch while having a semi-serious self discussion about what kind of organs can a person live without. Classwise, she would usually quietly sit through all her lessons with little to no feedback or questions but her grades usually end up on the higher average range. Despite what people may think, Miria is capable of forming attachments to other people. The strongest being the orphanage staff and her other 'siblings' giving her a music box. The next being her rifle, a gift from her adopted father who died while on a job. She's very protective of both objects.

Bio:

Miria has a rather simple childhood. She was found abandoned on the doorstep of a small orphanage in a rural village. There, she was raised by the kindly matron and some of the older orphans. Things were relatively normal until Miria turned 9. She was out playing with some of the younger orphans when Miria noticed the stick she was holding seem to vibrate and ripple. She suddenly felt frightened and tossed the stick away from the group before it suddenly exploded.

Despite scaring some of the younger kids, the orphanage matron and some of the older kids knew that Miria didn't do it on purpose. They encouraged her to keep it in check and much to their relief, found that Miria was also able to erect magical shields to protect herself and her surroundings. Now they made Miria promise that if she ever wanted to practise her magic, she had to use her shield to contain the blast. Things went well... Until she was caught practising by a villager.

The village called a gathering to discuss banishing Miria for the supposed safety of the village. The orphanage staff put up a lot of resistance against this until one man stepped up and offered to adopt Miria. That man refered to himself as 'Jerid Ardent' and said that he was a travelling workman. Before Miria left her home for 9 years, the orphanage matron gave her an old music box that Miria took a liking to during her earlier childhood. This would be the last time she ever saw the orphanage and its kindly matron.

For the next 6 years, Miria found herself traveling around with Jerid often. The man held many oddjobs and tried his best to be a good father to Miria. He did that by showing Miria how to use her magic effectively and on how to shoot. Miria enjoyed the lessons and listened to her foster parent's teachings eagerly. Things were bizzare but it was home. Things changed one day when Jerid left for one more job, promising that he would return soon. He never did.

Now lost in purpose and home, Miria had no idea what to do next. Until a letter came in, inviting her to Ashfallen Academy. A school of sorts for people like her. The rest, was history.
