My Character

Full Name: Christopher Alexander Mason

Nicknames:

Chris (usually by closer friends, but only a few)

Chrissy (by his grandmother)

Gender: Male

Age: Sixteen

Date of Birth: February 9th, 2007

Appearance: Christopher started out as a smaller boy, but as the years went on - specifically by his fifth year, thankfully - he grew like a beansprout, reaching 5'8" as the year would begin. His brown hair is moderately thick and a little unruly most times but he never lets it get that far down his neck. His roundish-almond eyes are a chocolate brown, the shade of which always depends on the lighting, and they are well defined by his long, thick eyelashes. His skin is a smooth medium tone, his body is quite fit despite appearing thin and lanky, and he's worn the same pair of glasses since his first day within Hogwarts' walls. They've only just decided to fit his face.

Year at Hogwarts: Sixth

Enemies:

Relationship with Crush: Kind of scarce to say the least. They had been on the same boat in the first year, had been in a few classes together over the years, and only really became better "friends" (acquaintances, really) within the third year. After a tussle with Slytherin's Adrian Willard, Christopher's ex-best friend, that he had wanted no part of - a fight he very clearly lost - Albus had come up and saved his glasses from the stone, apologizing for his Housemate's behavior and even asking if Christopher was okay. After that, they talked a few times in the halls, and he offers Albus help with the spells he struggles with every now and again.

@Pastella Idk if you want to still include Louis or Catherine at all in this..//

We could have their story in the background, like the war she causes if you wish? However if you don't want to that's completely fine?

Her war thing would honestly tie into the original Chris plot, but I'll let you know, or suggest moments when we should give mention or do something like that. Also, are we going for a full restart, kinda? Like reloading onto the train?

I'm restarting at the beginning because Christopher's story actually changed after his fifth year in the initial plot. And it forever pains me.

The thin, soft brown jumper Carter had given him during Christmas last year, during his fifth year, was baggy on his body now, when it had initially fit him perfectly. The hard seats of the bus made his back hurt, shoulders hunched as he sat in wait for his arrival. No one had cared enough to drive him to the station that year, as someone had done in the past before, so Christopher was forced to take the bus. And, honestly, he preferred it this way; it was the only way he could go to Hogwarts this time. The brunet held his owl's cage close to his chest, the heavy bags under his eyes poking out from under the frames of his glasses.

Over the summer, Christopher Mason's physical, mental, and emotional health had taken a nose dive, and didn't really seem like it was coming back up. Back in his first year, the only clothing he owned while living with his grandmother had been his school robes. In the years following, he finally started to fit into his clothing AND his glasses, and everything felt great. Now, last year's stuff no longer fit him as well; his robes still did, thankfully, because he was able to get them tailored to his build. Maybe over the course of the school year he could get himself back to normal?

'But what's the point...' he reminded himself, poking his fingers through the bars of Ruby's cage.

There was an announcement for the station and a few people got ready to get off the bus, including the young wizard himself. Trunk, cage, and an additional bag, as the bus would stop, Christopher waited at the back for the rest of the riders to disembark and rush for their platforms. He brought all of his stuff off with him, moves slow and energy dull. Someone was waiting for him there, a cart loaded with belongings and one without at their side. Carter wore a gentle, sympathetic smile on his face. While they had shared letters, the two couldn't meet over the summer so he didn't know just how bad of a condition his friend was in.

And Christopher couldn't look the older male in the eyes, hanging his head as if ashamed of what had happened. Strong, caring arms wrapped around him, a hand cradling his head of ruffled, brown hair into an equally strong shoulder. "It's okay," Carter told him softly, "You can forget about it all at school - everything will be better, I promise..."

"Yeah, I- I know," the boy responded with a broken voice.

At the end of the previous school year, no one had come to pick up Christopher from the station. He was instead greeted with, upon his arrival home, was his grandmother lying dead on the floor of her house - their house - many belongings disturbed in evidence of a struggle and something of a fight. What little glimpses of the damages he had seen, as authorities had quickly rushed to the scene and were trying to escort him away, were the signs of magic. A wizard had killed Elora Grant. For what reason, he didn't know...

But it threw him back into the hell he had escaped from five years ago, the hell of magic-hating Muggle parents.

The two boys pushed their carts through the station, all the way to the beam between Platforms Nine and Ten. Carter encouraged the younger to go, and Christopher obliged with very little reaction. As soon as he would pass through that pillar, his mask would have to come into play; no one should have to worry about him, with Carter as the exception. Sure, the physical difference like the thinner body and dark bags under his eyes, accompanied by paler skin, was unavoidable, but that didn't mean he couldn't put up a convincing façade. Pushing forward, Christopher charged through the beam and emerged on the other side.

As broken as he felt, that train was still one of the most incredible things his eyes had ever fallen upon. Carter burst out right next to him, smiling as he noticed the increase of energy in the other. Hogwarts and magic had an incredible effect on the Muggleborn wizard.

Sorry it's so long. @Pastella

Albus stood with his parents and siblings, waiting... he let out a sigh, as he looked towards the wall where witches and wizards continued to come through. That's when he saw Christopher, he had butterflies when he saw Christopher. Maybe because the boy made him... nervous. Truthfully he had never thought about his sexuality, but he couldn't be... gay. He shook the thought away as he looked back at his sister Lily and older brother James who was dressed ready for work at the Ministry.

Carter was falling back into his normal, happy disposition. He figured it could help if he wasn't upset all the time. Throwing an arm over Christopher's shoulders, he started to usher him closer to the train. Once close enough, their trunks were taken to be loaded up into the train and the two Hufflepuffs hung around for a short moment.

Whenever he slowed down, when he wasn't occupied with thoughts or anything else, it seemed like a weight would pull down on his shoulders. Christopher was already starting to tell himself that he was just tired, rubbing his sore, dull eyes after moving his glasses away. Putting them back in place, he looked around and noticed Albus and the Potters. At least Albus seemed to be doing well. When the Slytherin boy would turn his attention away from his family, Christopher smiled and waved.

@Pastella

Albus smiled in a friendly manner as Chris waved, he returned the wave giving the taller boy a smirk. God what was he doing.. He wanted to walk over so badly however didn't, partially out of fear but mostly out of knowing his little sister could read his relationships with people better then he could.

He bit his lip averting his gaze away from Christopher, fighting the urge to look over once again.

I'll fix the font later.

Was Albus okay? His smile fell short with concern, but was confused as to why the other would turn his head away so quickly. Maybe… Maybe it was obvious that Christopher wasn’t doing well? No, that was impossible; everyone else that he proceeded to talk to in a closer range seemed to not notice his condition, so surely the Slytherin that was so far away couldn’t tell. Maybe he did something wrong, then?
Like what? Albus had been friendly up until that moment. Harry Potter’s mouth was moving, so he figured that the boy’s attention had been called away. Fair enough.

Carter grabbed the younger boy by the arm and yanked him onto the train, following behind a fifth year, black, curly haired Hufflepuff girl by the name of Jackie, and her sixth year, timid Gryffindor girlfriend. They hurried to an empty compartment and filled its seats. As terrible as Christopher had felt out in the world of Muggles, all of the magic was getting him excited.
As it did every year.

@Pastella

He sighed deeply before he followed his sister into the train, where he soon met up with his many cousins. He couldn't shake Chris from his mind, bit he tried his hardest as he sat in a compartment with most of his family, although Lily wouldn't stop staring at him and brought attention to his state.

"What's on your mind?" She questioned, albus shook his head as he leaned against the window of the train

"Nothing..." he muttered as he bit his lip.

I'll respond in a minute but I forgot to mention that Albus was taller, not the other way around X3 It's an inch difference but still

"Did you forget to eat or something, Mason?" Jackie asked rather suddenly as they got comfortable. Her eyebrow was arched in question, her expression focused with thought, and it seemed like he wasn't going to be getting out of this so easily. "Are you sick? Something wrong?"

As sad as it was, Christopher had already planned his response for such a question. He gave a timid smile, adjusting his glasses with both hands before speaking. "I was so excited for school to start," the brunet explained sheepishly, the words fluidly rolling off his tongue as if it was the truth - even going so far as to match his body language, "that I hardly slept or ate this past week. I'm fine, though."

Unfortunately, she didn't seem to buy it. Could you blame her? Jackie knew his grandmother wouldn't have let that slide so easily, and was about to call him out on it when Carter quickly added a little fib of his own; "It didn't help that I kept sending him letters," he decided, "Mum has so many owls, you know, and I kept thinking of new things that I wanted to say so I practically sent all of them his way."

It wasn't an entire lie either, and Christopher slumped back in his seat with a small breath of relief as Jackie would focus on something else.

The train's brakes unlocked and, slowly, it started to roll out of the station.

Albus stood up once his family was out of sight "I'm going to look for Lorcan" he lied sheepishly as he stood up, once all his cousins had nodded he left the compartment in a rather rush. He made his way down the train, he glanced into every compartment his heart thumping. Finally he found the person he was actually looking for, Christopher... His heart fluttered slightly as he knocked on the door without thinking of some excuse to why he wanted to talk to Christopher, his face went blank as all their eyes landed on him

The conversation had barely started when a new guest arrived. Christopher, being the closest, was the one to open it, slightly dulled brown eyes widening in surprise. "A-Albus..!" he hastily greeted, "Hey, what're you doing here?" Didn't he have friends, or family to sit with? Why was he over at their compartment? Even Carter, who had seen the Slytherin boy around before, leaned forward to see past his Housemate, eyebrows raised curiously.

Albus gulped "Erm-... I-... Erm-... I have some potions homework-... I was hoping you could yelp me with" he said before blushing red noticing he wasn't holding anything "I forget to finish it over the Summer, and-... now i've forgotten the homework" he said nervously shaking.

His brow furrowed, moving out of the way so that Albus could enter if he so pleased. "You don't look too well," he commented, "Maybe you should sit down? Or return to your cabin and rest? We have a long train ride ahead of us, so I can always come to you to help you." How ironic... Christopher was worrying about someone's health instead of his own. Carter was undeniably going to scold him later for that little fact.

Albus gulped "N-no... I'm fine" he muttered softly as he nervously looked around the compartment shyly "I'll just... Go back to my compartment" he murmured before hurriedly walking off, his heart thumping hard in his chest.
