Here you can learn about the historical timeline of Roserasia, as presented in textbooks since the start of recorded history. More or less anytime I see a definitive date I try and list it here. If there is anything you would like to add, please feel free to ask a GM, and we will update it for you.

???: Members of the ancient race who broke away from tradition and stopped performing magic lose their animal features, becoming human in a form of hyper-evolution. These humans then begin to establish new communities in Roserasia.

1: Emperor Anathonios, the first Emperor of Euthalia, establishes the Euthalian Empire, thus beginning recorded history. While settlements in Lepumir had existed for some time before, and the Ramerian city-states came into existence shortly afterwards, Euthalia is the first population to consider itself a nation. The Euthalian Empire will grow to encompass not only modern-day Euthalia, but Greedo, Dorimun, and parts of modern-day Sea, Lepumir, Nezzie, and Rameria as well.

69: Chavdar Nezziel, a genius warlord, starts his campaign to unite the northern tribes against the Euthalian threat. His efforts will eventually establish the Nezzie Empire and bring about a culture of duty and learning to the barren lands.

127: Odin Academy, the oldest military academy and formal scholastic institution in the world, begins its long history.

200s: With an uncertain start date, the time now known as the Warring Principates begins in Rameria, a particularly bloody and chaotic period in their history consisting of constant wars against one another and outside lands.

227: Odin Academy is founded by Chavdar Nezziel, beckoning the start of formal academia in the known world.

317: The defeat of Euthalia’s last emperor by his trusted comrade Saint Lyon leads to the collapse of the Euthalian Empire and the separation of Greedo. Euthalia shrinks but still remains, now designating themselves a kingdom.

318: The Philostrate Compromise between Lepumir and Nezzie is ratified, solidifying the countries' relationship as allies and granting free trade between them, shared access to resources, and military protection.

327: The Rosencrantz line is established in Rameria, thus ending the time known as the Warring Principates.

338: Wright Academy, established by Alistair Wright from an ancient ruin, officially opens on the island that will become Dorimun, attracting countless aria across Roserasia to its halls.

342: The comparatively drab Rendalt Castle is built in Dorimun in preparation of their oncoming succession.

343: Dissatisfied with Greedo rule, the Dorimun Dukedom, operating from a large southern island, breaks away to officially establish itself as its own nation.

480: The current Ramerian Queen creates quite an uproar when she donates her entire estate to her young lover, splitting the Rosencrantz line and establishing the Diefenbachs as the new head of state. The Rosencrantz will continue to compete with the Diefenbachs for nearly a century before falling into obscurity and becoming little more than an urban legend.

592: Shorpe Academy, a survival-style training camp for those of noble blood, opens on Jackwood Peninsula, Penzans in Rameria.

637: The first Dance Heritage Competition is held, and the Dance Heritage Council established.

653: In an event now known as the First Wave Crimson Scare, rumors swirl concerning a possible re-establishment of the Empire, and as a result, what will become the founding members of the Marine Queendom flee the continent to seek asylum on an island then only rumored to exist.

667: The Second Wave Crimson Scare once again stirs fear in the hearts of the people, and worldwide countries begin to prepare for war. Gallerian Steel, forged from the unique and precious minerals stored in the Cliffs of Galleria in Western Rameria, quickly rises in demand. In an effort to manage their own exports without the rest of Rameria leeching their profit, Galleria secedes to form their own small countship.

669: Nezzie Ships / Embargo

670: The Dance Heritage Competition is re-named the Thorarinn-Fulco Dance Heritage Competition.

695: A great statue of Hans Diefenbach, the sole survivor of Anathema, is erected to commemorate Diefenbach Day for Guildenstern Castle, Rameria.

755: The original Guildenstern Castle of Rameria is lost to the depth of Ethelein Lake thanks to a sinkhole. Building regulations in Ilarion, Tennebaum are re-written and more harshly regulated.

806: Rameria creates plans for the first "Tradeway," an advanced infrastructure system which will eventually evolve into the modern railway a little over 100 years later. Around this time the economic boom in Rameria begins. This is also the year that Praglori Mine opens in Galleria, remaining their top source of Gallerian Steel until recent times.

823: The Daimler Incident.

855: Unknown to those still living on the Roserasian mainland, the Queen of the Marine Kingdom relinquishes her position of primary power, transitioning Marine to a Constitutional Monarchy. The royal Thalassa line continues to hold a seat on the newly established council.

856: In an effort to reunite Roserasia's countries in friendship and to extend a hand to the Marine Queendom, King Sestina of Euthalia holds the first Cendrillion Ball. Marine refuses to attend, increasing the nations' rivalry.

858: Partly, some believe, in response to Cendrillion, Ramerian royalty announces "Freedom of the Press" for media outlets to publish stories as they please. It is a victory that surprised and delighted many, and is still celebrated to this day.

864: Due to Cesar Kingdom's splitting dance styles, the Dance Heritage Council revises it's policies, and Cha-Cha-Cha becomes an officially recognized competitive ballroom dancing form.

901: Rameria's "Tradeway" officially transforms from an infrastructure system into a train, and sees its inaugural journey this year. The route consists of only two stops and struggles at several points along the way. It will still be a few decades before this becomes a viable mode of transport.

906: The Sintes Mine opens in the south of Chanello Forest in Galleria due to a rising need for Gallerian Steel that had been over-mined elsewhere.

921: A devastating raid by a group of Witches occurs at Saint Brocken, Lepumir in an event which will later become known as Brockenhexe. Such activity puts both Euthalia and Nezzie immensely on edge about the presence of uncontrollable Witches in Lepumir, and uncertainty about the race continues to this day. It is more or less accepted theory that the politicization of Brockenhexe lead to diplomatic talks in Rameria just two years later.

923: The Clovian Treaty is signed in Ilarion by representatives of Euthalia, Lepumir, Nezzie, and Rameria to end the centuries-long border skirmishes around the area of Nezzie's peninsulas. Most consider the treaty a mere temporary measure with a cooling period of at least 50 years, and relations in the contested lands remains messy.

936: Following much civil unrest, the Kingdom of Rameria undergoes a "Peaceful Revolution," forming the United States of Rameria.

944: Wanting to abolish Euthalia's passive-aggressive rule over Roserasia, the Caesar Kingdom begins a violent rebellion. They are quickly thwarted and the members of the nobility who had started the attack are put to death. The Caesar Kingdom is dismantled into the Sea Republic, ruled by a two-core council system with houses in East Sea and West Sea.

948: For the first time the Cendrillion Ball allows same-sex dance partners to compete in all officiated events; the request of the previous year's winner.

955: Unrest amongst arie grows to a boiling point as arien rebels overtake the Kingdom of Lepumir in the month of Fraximust. The Quince royal line is presumably wiped out, and humans are systematically removed.

956: The 100th Annual Cendrillion Ball is held in Saint Lyon. For the first time, the Marine Queendom has elected to accept their invitation and send a Representative.
