Amelia Ravenhurst is definitely one with high expectations and a no nonsense philosophy. Being a high achiever herself, she expects the same of all her staff and students and does not tolerate slacking in any way, shape or form. This is not to say she doesn't give second chances, however it is only ever a second chance, never more.

Although professionally she is strict but fair, personally she is an adventurous soul and a true Gryffindor, daring and bold and in a relaxed setting is fun for her employees to be around.

Amelia is usually dressed in smart purple robes with pointed dragon hide shoes. She is generally thought of as attractive with long brown hair and youthful green eyes.​

Background and Relationships

Background:

Amelia Ravenhurst was born in Ikley, Yorkshire. Both of Amelia's parents were half-bloods, Archie and Rena Ravenhurst. As a result, Amelia grew up with knowledge of both the worlds of wizards and muggles.

Amelia discovered her passion for magical history the year before she started at Hogwarts, when her father read her a story about the great wizard Merlin. From then on it has been her driving passion in life and was the class she received the highest grades in.

Overall Amelia was ahead of others in many ways. She excelled academically, she had begun her career as an historian whilst still in her fifth year at Hogwarts, had written a book of her findings by the age of eighteen and had it published by twenty.

On top of that, she gave birth to her daughter Harriet at the age of twenty-six whilst already planning her magical university and publishing her second book on goblin rebellions from the goblins' point of view.

Unfortunately Ben, the father of Harriet and childhood sweetheart of Amelia decided to leave the relationship shortly after Harriet's birth and she was forced to raise her alone.

Now eighteen, Harriet will be attending her mother's university. The pair have quite a tumultuous relationship even though Amelia tries her best. It isn't easy for Harriet knowing the reputation she will have to uphold.

Harriet Ravenhurst is the epitome of the popular queen bee, though she is not all that bitchy toward people. Though stubborn and wilful, she is not arrogant and will talk to anyone if she has to. She is, however, very selective of her social circle and you will find her mingling with only the best society has to offer (this is not to say these people are the best influences on her). Though kind to her friends, she is indifferent to almost anyone else so don't expect too much sympathy from her if your pet Pygmy Puff Larry recently died, unless you are in her circle.

Harriet likes parties and social gatherings very much, and if she isn't the one organising them she will certainly be there, flirting with a boy or two. With her friends she can be very possessive and clingy., but this is simply because she cares intensely about them. She is loyal to the end unless you cross her...then you have truly made an enemy. At times Hattie resents her mother's success feeling as though she can never live up to it. This results in a rocky relationship with her loving mother.

Hattie looks a lot like her mother with one distinguishing feature: she has her father's intense brown eyes. She is always fashionably dressed in muggle attire.

Harriet Ravenhurst was born in London, to Ben Althwaite, a pureblood and Amelia Ravenhurst, a halfblood. Her father left when she was just a month old, though this was an amicable split and he continued to help pay for her wellbeing until her eighteenth birthday. When she was ten years old, Harriet and her mother moved to France for her mother's research for her latest historical book.

Harriet subsequently attended school there at Beauxbatons Academy which she greatly enjoyed. At school she was almost immediately popular and rose to queen bee status with relative ease, remaining at the top throughout her years there. Her favourite subject had always been charms which is her chosen specialist subject at Ravenhurst University. Sometimes she finds it annoying that her mother worked at her school and is the founder of her university, because she can't put a foot wrong.

Quiet, and seemingly timid, Matthew may appear introverted at first, but this isn’t so. His outward demeanor paints him as shy but in reality, he just likes to observe, often taking part in conversation but rarely starting them. Not unpleasant to talk to, Matthew does get along well with others most of the time. He keeps his thoughts to himself though and may seem disant to some because of it.

Short, light brown hair, often combed to one side or another, sits atop Matt’s head. Blue-grey eye’s are set into a clean shaven face with a defined jawline. Stands 6'1 with a fairly average build. He usually dresses in fairly causal muggle attire, going for practical and comfortable, rather then extravagant.












Background: Born the son of two muggles, Matthew grew up knowing nothing of the wizarding world. Raised not far from Belfast, he led a normal life up until a messenger from Hogwarts arrived, explaining to both him and his parents that Matthew was to begin his magical education at Hogwarts.

While initially in shock, Matthews parents eventually accepted to send their son to Hogwarts. To the young boy it seemed surreal that magical was an actual thing. And more importantly, he was going to study it.

Matt proceed to spent the next seven years at Hogwarts, being placed in Ravenclaw and excelling in many studies. Despite some comments about he blood, he had, by the end of his first year, a tight group of friends who he stayed close with throughout his years at the school. He even dated one of them(A girl by the name of Hannah) during his final two years, in spite of his somewhat socially awkward tendencies. It was at Hogwarts he made the decision to become an Auror, studying hard for both his OWL's and NEWT's so he could hopefully train to be one of them.

Background:

Born to two muggle parents in Athenry, Ireland Jackson had absolutely no knowledge of the reality of magic until the day his acceptance letter arrived. He and his parents were skeptical at first but their minds were quickly changed when a messenger came by soon enough to explain the basics of what would happen.


At Hogwarts he was sorted into Ravenclaw, much to his initial surprise and proceeded to excel in his studies.He found he had an affinity for Transfiguration and studied everything he could on the subject until he found information on the Animagus. With much prompting and nagging, he eventually convinced his teacher to allow him to read up on the subject some more and before the start of his third year Jackson began his training to become an animagus. He has so far mastered the transformation and wishes to study more on transfiguration as well as the care for magical creatures.

Appearance and Written Personality

Celeste was born with red-orange hair. She was considered a little different to her family since her mother and father had brown hair. Not only does her hair color make her uniquely different, but she was considered "little" than the rest of her relatives. She stands currently at 5 feet 2 inches. Her heart-shaped lips are usually soft as for her skin is as pale as snow. She rarely wears make-up and will not do so, unless there's a need for it. Her petite stature and slender body makes her a little unbalance due to her clumsiness. She tends to trip up or down stairs, over her own feet, and ever on air.

She loves her family dearly and loves spending time with her mother and father. Because of her caring nature, her parents believed she had an unbelievable pure heart that would stay innocent. They would try to protect her from unspeakable things and from the world, but her curiousity got the best of her and she wanted to explore the world and seek new things and adventure. She was always in awe of new places and adapted fairly easily. She used to be hesitant and shy when greeting and making new friends, but with her new-found courage and her growth, she didn't have much trouble anymore. Her grey-blue eyes looks as if they can pierce through someone's soul, the only contradiction is that, she's no where near, cold or distant. In fact, she has a bubbly and bright personality. Her cheerful and bubbly personality shines through when she finds the courage to meet and greet new people.

Her kindness can be immeasurable that sometimes others may call her naive, she believes in the goodness of others. and there's always a reason for everything, unless there's really something that can't be done. She enjoys the company of those close to her but can also withstand being alone. Although kind, she will not tolerate bullies and being called a "pushover". She will stand up for what she believes in and will help those in need, especially her loved ones. Because of who and how she is, others would underestimate her abilities: that's one wrong move to assume. Never underestimate her because she will put up a fight and defend, if needed. She does not tolerate those who harms others.

Celeste has a soft spot for animals and mainly focuses her magic on magical creatures and charms. She doesn't like using her abilities for harm, unless she is provoked or has a need to use magic. Celeste was told about having a wand that has a core of phoenix feather was tough, but even so, she and her wand got along perfectly well. She couldn't be anymore proud. Celeste is a hard-working student, however, she isn't an all-around A student all of the time, she has had her failed moments. Although she has fallen before, she would get back up and try again, she is persistent in her ways.

Background

Celeste was born a half-blood. Her heritage comes from a French speaking family that lives in Quebec, Canada. Her father, Cohen Steel, is a pure blood, while her mother, Layla Sudan, is a muggle-born. Her parents both attended Hogwarts of Witchcraft and Wizardry and fell inlove there. Her father was housed in Gryffindor and her mother was housed in Ravenclaw. Despite her parents distinct personalities, she had her own personality, sometimes she would seem more like her father, or she would seem more like her mother, but either way, Celeste had her own quirks and personalities.

Since a young age, Celeste was always fond of magical creatures, and those creatures somehow always came up to her, never fearing her. She shared a bond and connection with them. Her parents were proud of their young daughter and loved spending all of their time together with her. But, one day, her mother fell into illness and the doctor's could not find a cure for it. Layla was bed-ridden and Celeste was always there, taking care of her mother, suiting to her every needs. She was strong for her Father and smiled, showing her mother, she would be okay, reassuring her, it was okay for her to rest. The time that passed felt like locked memories in her heart, seeing her mother in pain and there wasn't anything they could have done for her, but stay by her side. Through those tough times, Celeste was able to fill the roles of her mother: cooking, cleaning, and making sure the house was still functioning.

A year later, when Celeste was 8 years old, her mother had died in her sleep. Celeste and her father were devastated and grieved for a months after months. Until one night, Celeste was visited by her mother in her dreams, telling her and waking her, forcing her to get out of the state she was in and continue on living and moving forward. As long as Celeste was living she should live amongst the living and not live amongst the dead. That dream was Celeste's wake-up call from her mother and soon enough, Celeste took the responsibilities head-on one more and helped her Father reset. The pain of losing her mother was still deep and wounded, but she knew that she was never truly gone, instead she lived on in her memories and heart.

At the age 11, her father decided to enroll her into Hogwarts, to show Celeste the wonderful memories her mother and father had made there. She was sorted into the housing: Hufflepuff, despite her parents housing in Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. At first, Celeste didn't know how to approach her classmates, she was shy and hesitated, wondering if what she said was okay and nervous to approach others. She would always show her cheerfulness to her classmates and attempt a conversation with them, but she still had anxieties of saying something wrong. Soon, her first year had ended and she didn't grow as close to her friends as she liked, for she focused more on her studies. But, during the summer she decided to change that and focused on a method that would help her fit in and make friends without her anxieties kicking in.

Year 2 came around and with the new courage she found, Celeste ended up gaining new friends, feeling completely relieved that her friends she met before still wanted to talk to her and hang out. Soon enough, Celeste found a rhythm and became more open to others, letting her happiness and cheeriness spread among the school. Celeste had fitted in just right, laughing, spending time with her friends, and studying throughout her time at Hogwarts. Celeste wished time would stop when she found herself back at Hogwarts. She loved sending letters to her Father while she was in school and sending letters to her friends when she wasn't in school. She loved her professors and enjoyed all of her classes and events that occured. Although, there were times she struggled with learning her spells and using her abilities, she never once stopped trying. After passing many of her classes and going through the years there, she realized she had an affinity for Magizoology and Veterinary Magic, due to her connections with magical creatures, and charms.

Celeste treated Hogwarts like her second home and family. She always kept a pendant of her mother on her neck and the moving family photo on her bed side. She was fond of the friends she made at Hogwarts. But soon, time passed and it was time to move on. She was devastated to have to leave Hogwarts and make anew again, but she knew she could well-adapt again and that Hogwarts will always be here and will forever hold a special place in her heart. To continue her studies, she enrolled in Ravenhurst Academy, waiting to see what the University has to offer her.

Applewood

Apple is a gentle, outdoorsy wood that would find favor with a student skilled in Herbology or Care of Magical Creatures.

Applewood wands are not made in great numbers. They are powerful and best suited to an owner of high aims and ideals, as this wood mixes poorly with Dark magic. It is said that the possessor of an apple wand will be well-loved and long-lived, and I have often noticed that customers of great personal charm find their perfect match in an applewood wand. Mirror of Erised

If Celeste were to ever be able to look into the Mirror of Erised, she would most likely see the reflection of seeing her mother, her father, and herself, together again as a family. She'd see them smiling back at her, giving her the expression of how proud of how far she has gotten and how much she'd grown. Celeste would be able to see her family together again, happy, as a whole.

Boggart

The boggart Celeste would have to face and get rid of is a being with cruel intent, to kill all her loved ones. Death. If there were to be another one, it would be roaches or clowns.

Personality and Written Appearance: Lystra is a tall, frail looking girl with big blue eyes, pale blonde hair and an overall unique look. She stands at 1.76m (5'7") and weighs about 58kg (130lbs), giving her a skinny frame with a whisper of curve where it counts. In the eyes of many, she is odd but beautiful and mysterious as she never speaks or tries to get close to anyone. People would describe Lystra as uncaring, a loner, and other things of that sort that are only half true. She doesn't speak. To anyone. Ever. Some students like to gossip about her, about what her voice sounds like. Some say they've heard it when she casts spells, others say she can do so without saying the name of a spell. Regardless, there is an air of mystery surrounding Lystra wherever she goes.


Having an extremely selective empathy towards others makes her seem like a cold person. She loathes damsels in distress, and is a firm believer of independence. She looks down people who cry or show any form of weakness and believes that doing so solves nothing. Of course she never does anything rude to people, rather she simply ignores mostly everyone. Whenever she has the desire to communicate with someone, she'll just use her body language or write it down if that doesn't come across well. She is a very artistic person. You will most likely see her with a pencil behind her ear if she is not sketching away in some corner of the school. Lystra is also intelligent and unusually perceptive of others feelings and thoughts. She has an uncanny way of making others uncomfortable with her silence and tendency to turn away when someone is speaking to her. She is completely unflappable and rarely seems anxious or under stress, even under difficult circumstances she appears to be emotionless or bored. The sad part is that she wasn't always like this. In fact, she was just the opposite: bubbly, happy, eager to make friends... until something very unfortunate happened.

Background: Born the daughter of Lysander Scamander, son of Luna Lovegood and Ralf Scamander, Lystra was surrounded by love and smiles since she was a little girl. She grew up in an environment that shaped her into a kind and caring person. Appropriately nicknamed "Angel" by her uncle Lorcan, Lystra has been the kind of person to always put another's happiness before her own. From a young age, she acquired a love of Art and has since made it a persistent hobby of hers, often times secluding herself away from everyone to paint or sketch things that she found around her. Lystra is very close to her grandmother, often times the two sit together and talk about Luna's time at Hogwarts.


During her third year at Hogwarts, her mother passed away after getting really sick, leaving her father in a depressed state after her passing. Lystra was devastated by this, but seeing what her father was going through, denied herself the right to properly grieve to stay strong for the both of them. She buried her sadness and smiled more, keeping drawings of her mother with her all the time. Little did she know what an affect it would have on her after keeping her sadness buried for too long. After a while, the pain of living in the house where they lost her mother became too great, and her father decided to abruptly move away from the town all together and set up roots in a new place. Though this seemed a good idea at first, it only seemed to make things worse for the two of them being farther away from family in a time where each other was simply not good enough.


The whole incident caused Lystra to slowly build a wall within herself, her grief slowly changing the once sweet and lovable girl into one that stopped caring about nearly everything. All except her desire to sketch or paint that is. She has gone mute, no longer speaking to anyone or saying anything other than an occasional 'Hn?' when someone important--like a teacher--addresses her. It is sad to say but, it may take the right kind of person, or people, to help this little angel learn to fly again. That, and a desire within herself to want to make that change as well.

They are great at expression, and what they feel and the aura they give off can be pushed onto others, causing those around the dove to feel more calm merely from their presence.
