Motivation: Transform Autochthon into a god-constellation exemplifying the full greatness of Solar vision and the creative principle of the Great Maker.
Intimacies: Autochthon (Optimizing Reverence), The Realm (Protective Dedication), The Solar Deliberative (Frustrated Loyalty), the Conquered Sun (Wary Hope), the Spiral (Angry Reverence)
Anima Banner: A mandala like clockwork solar system orbiting twin hearts of crystal and gold- Often straying from the thin line between levity and mocking, Anaximander is the sort of person hard to get to know but harmless enough once familiar. His Elders have come to associate him with both youthful exuberance and youthful impudence. He is passionate about those things which catch his attention, yet dismissive and hasty in those which do not.
Often his passion blind him to the practical limitations and difficulties that stand before his dreams. In the past, his innate skill and political clout have been enough to muscle through them. Yet those little successes have only emboldened him, and he may yet find a ceiling he cannot simply burst through. If that will break him or encourage him further is anyone's guess. - Anaximander's title Twice-Golden marks him as the only living Solar in whom both Exaltation and higher soul were once joined together in a past life. Such a rare pedigree brings with it a great host of expectations. In his own way, Annex has both lived up to and disappointed those who looked for greatness in him.
Anaximander was raised outside the luxury of the poleis, coming from a long line of the rough yet proud folk who worked in the outer towns. He learned mechanics from live power conduits and pressured steam lines and dealt with ex machina as frequently as urbanites did rats. None of which prepared him when one of the Deliberative's projects sent the Maker's body into rebellion. The artifact regulator they had placed on a Essence-Schema Junction was unable to compensate for the invasive modifications, flooding cryonic fluids directly into a delicate array of neural adamant. Though he had never even seen the artifact he was almost instantly able to identify the nature of the technosymbolic array. It used glorious paeans of orichalcum and propitiations of starmetal to overawe Autochthon's essence into submission to the Lawgiver's design. Its shining example and officious mandate were no longer enough to allow the Maker's body to ignore it's pain. Sacrifice, and proof of mutual loss, was required to bring the system back into balance. Knowing it meant his death he walked in. In the end, sacrifice proved unnecessary. Golden hope was more then enough. The Exalted who emerged saw the power he worked on his world merely by existing and was humbled.
Anaximander received the training he had lacked as a mortal, and was given charge of several low impact projects to ease him into his responsibilities. Yet when he made his report to the Deliberative they did not hear the answers they had hopped for. He spoke of gran visions, Technoforming Artifabricative Upgrades for the Reaches to enhance system efficiency and recapture power, hybrid Dream/Prayer devices to synthesize artificial Wyld Storms, Transmuniciple Metacharm Arrays to link Alchemical cities into artificial charms for Autochthon, restructuring the nations into a Metacharm structure around the Pole of Crystal to approximate a Primordial Level Exaltation... by that point he was shouted down and immediately censured. The scale of what he proposed only increased with every word he uttered. Works exceeding the Gunstar Endeavor itself with no clear gains for eventual victory. Gross failure of the public trust and misallocation of resources. The list went on.
It was clear to the ruling Elders that Anaximander needed a lesson in the harsh realities of their situation and so assigned him to the Defense Line. There they hopped he would see the true horror of what they faced. His commander was faced with the difficult task of punishing him, as the Deliberative clearly wanted, and treating him with the dignity due a Solar. In the end, "Annex" proved to useful to waste on punishment detail. His mind, already turned to the complex and often uncertain systems of the Maker, proved able to discern the flows of combat with enormous skill. The new systems and tactics he developed transformed the pilots under his direction into a living mechanism of war, a functioning effigy of the nascent Gunstar. While still far from good with people, he has nevertheless earned both his command and the respect deserving it a dozen times over.
This story would be complete save for one small footnote. Shortly after his reassignment, the starmetal colossus Integrated Reverence Instructor evolved into the metropolis of Iris on the roof of Nurad where her graceful arcs cradled Wisant. Her first municipal charm after the Vat Complex was an array of adamant mirror laced with starmetal circuitry that lent an axiomatic quality to the Infinite Luminance Engine's output. While by no means a Metacharm on the scale he proposed, it was not lost on many that it was a successful proof of concept test.

The Orichalcum Colossus Surety of Triumph was once among the greatest supporters of the Lawgivers among the Champions. He spoke passionately about the need for unity and the manifest worthiness of the Solar Exalted. He cultivated his essence rapidly, longing for the transcendence of evolution. When he became patropolis Surtr he did so nearly on the Line itself, hosting Defense facilities and enormous infrastructure to support them. Resembling a terraced pyramid or cone, waterfalls and canals of molten metal flow down from the Encephalic Induction Caldera at his summit where the heat and power of an enormous godforge is infused with the thought lightning of the Maker.
Though still loyal to a fault, Surtr has seen the splintering of the Solar's vision and contemplated the doubt of the Maker revealed to him in the transient stigmata-code written on the molten metal. The Solar Anaximander's vision was one he increasingly came to sympathize with, while the Solar's dedication and drive have earned his respect. One of Surtr's Champion Drones is Annex's constant companion, and it is an open secret that the two have a more than professional relationship.

Description: Anaximander is prone to getting caught up in his ideas at the best of times, frustrated that others cannot understand the wonder in his what he describes. When the greatest of inspirations and the breaking point of frustration coincide, he doesn't bother to try to explain. The finished work's greatness will speak for itself.
Once Anaximander reaches ten points of limit, chose one recent project he has devised, even if he hasn't shared it. He begins working on this project with all his available resources at the expense of all his other responsibilities. He will forego food, sleep, budget, and authority in his quest. While theoretically he could be driven to even greater extremes, such as using the soul of a forsaken child as a vital component, he is generally too practical and too aesthetically inclined against such things for it to be an issue.
Partial Control: While Anaximander will still work himself to exhaustion, he will limit the scope of his project to something his personal resources can produce. Instead of reassigning entire shifts of terrestrial technicians he will limit himself to his personal staff and he will exhaust his own material quotas instead of the Defense Grid's magical material stockpiles.
Trigger Condition: Anaximander's proposals are turned down by superiors for "practical" concerns.
