Gordon N. Knott [Accepted]

Twist

Going round it to be honest
Name: Gordon N. Knott but prefers "Gordy"

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Appearance:Creative-Digital-Art-Paintings-of-Random-People-into-Fun-Illustrations-006.jpg

Activated/Inactive: Active for a good couple of years

Form of Conduitism: Fabric

Karma: Bad (Criminal)

Conduit Experience: Gordy hasn't really learnt the extent of his Conduit abilities, barely scratching most of the potential his fabric powers could have, but he has mastered one form of his abilities to near perfection, the art of the rope. As he spent most of his time on or near boats, the only thing he could use or practice on were ropes and so he has trained himself extensively with them even developing unique abilities like lasso's, nets and even a make shift gallows. He also has learnt to use his ropes to swing off buildings or perform surprise attacks. Still as he is now back in the city, with much more available to use with his Conduit abilities, Gordy may just begin to practice with other parts of his powers.

Personality: Gordy is a cynical and pessimistic type, but working at a bar has made him have to be somewhat sociable, not much just small talk but enough to keep customers happy, but he isn't really approachable. He is helpful to a degree as it's easier to point out or tell someone something to get rid of them rather than possibly argue or get into a confrontation. However he isn't all bad, as if your a friend or share his views at the least, he becomes more open and willing to talk but he can just as easily close himself off if pushed or in disagreement.

Relationships: Just a few old friends/ associates round the docks.

Backstory: Growing up round the docks of Seattle with his father, Gordy gained for the love for the open sea and an appreciation for those who built their lives around it. His father would often spend long times at sea, fishing the waters, transporting cargo and other jobs around the docks and his son would often go with him. As Gordy grew he began to help more and more, earning good wages which he saved up, allowing him to buy his own boat but as the years passed, the docks began to change become more dangerous due to criminals. This all came to a head when Gordy became 18 and his father was violently mugged and killed when he was out at sea and so his personality changed drastically becoming more cold and reserved, gaining a suspicious and untrusting nature. He still frequented the docks however as it was a home and no one was going to force him out.

One night while Gordy slept, his boat was boarded by a criminal hoping to make a quick escape. Shaken from his slumber, the criminal demanded Gordy to take him out to sea and away from the police. A fight ensued between the two and Gordy was shot in the shoulder, the trauma activating his Conduit gene. Using his newfound powers, Gordy quickly strangled the criminal with a nearby rope, killing him. As Gordy looked over what he had done, he felt a sense of purpose and a newfound drive. Hanging the mans body on the docks as a warning to others, Gordy set about to get rid of the criminals from the docks. It was a crude operation with a few criminals falling prey to his powers but it was enough to make an impact and criminals began to stay clear of the docks. Gordy, however, knew he needed more practice and so on a fishing run out at sea he developed his powers further. Now as he returns from sea, he plans to make a bigger impact around Seattle.
