- Human Samurai Only
- 60 bonus Karma, raising the allotment from 45 to 105, before ads/disads
- No spider clan

- Shuggies get 1 bonus spell if they hit rank 2 during character creation
Gameplay
- All skills explode on 9 at rank 10. At rank 10 raises are no longer capped.
- Called shots allowed in duels
- Brag once per module for glory.
- Iajitsu is not a weapon skill

- Arrow always hit spell only allows one raise, and 1 per raise called by the shuggie.
- Tsuruchi Longbow Special Rules: +2k0 DR. +10 TN if fired from horseback. Total ranged penalties reduced by +10. Characters not from the Tsuruchi Family who carry this weapon must either have an Obligation to the Tsuruchi Family or risk being hunted down and killed from a blood feud.
- Writing up an in character summary for a module is worth 1 xp.
