Plot: It is the year 2051. Due to the emergence of people with psychokinetic abilities (mainly moving objects with their mind and reading "intentions"), a clinic has been founded to investigae the phenomenon in a metropolis named New Asahi. However there are some particularly strong patients that had to be held there against their will due to the amount of danger they pose to others, either because they are too strong or because they have dangerous personalities (hostile, aggressive, ones who will flip from nice to abusive without warning, all the way up to homocidal). So far there have been only injuries and attempted murders but nothing too serious yet. However, if they underestimate someone it will lead to a breakout and exactly that will happen.
The facility is situated in a futuristic skyscraper in New Asahi. The main area of the facility has doctors offices and services for gifted people who aren't a threat. Further into the facility on a different floor there is the ward for dangerous patients. The doors are sleek and often are thick enough so that the abilities of the patients can't pass through them. The interior is a sleek white with grey and blue trims. To study the patients they usually have cybernetic or robotic personell sedate the patients, so they can move them without fear of injury.
There were basically three sides among the patients: 1. Idealists, who wanted to live an ordinary life and would kill anyone who wanted to prevent that or wished them harm. They believe that the senselessly homocidal patients are a danger to their cause and will get rid of them first. Whereas they will spare the innocent, good mannered patients as long as they don't stand in the way. 2. There are the homocidal patients who just want to kill for the fun of it. 3. Then there are those who are only dangerous by power but not by personality, never wishing harm upon others and preferring to remain passive.
Ultimately, upon the breakout, the idealists killed the homocidal maniacs quickly before they could do more damage and left the innocent, the "passives" either to their own fate or letting them tag along.
Setting: New Asahi - population nineteen million. The city is full of skyscrapers and ranges nearly 100 km from east to west. Neon signage, hologram billboards and screens are found everywhere from on buildings to even in elevated rail stations. In the middle of the city is also it's tallest and one of it's most important buildings: The Asahi Eon building with 185 floors and 1100 meters tall. There are many stores and bars on the streets and in the highrises. Everywhere service robots and androids are doing work or pitching sales. The city also has virtually no slums since the poor aren't super poor.
