Swire

The Ace of Spades, in a Uno deck
This will be everything that you need to know before you start. Everyone should read this before they start, as the description of the RP isn't detailed enough.

Information:

As you already know the Witch's rotting corpse created fog around the entire world. The fog brought with it 2 things, the Rain and Demons.

Demons: The Demons are general monsters that come in many different forms. They could be massive towering beasts with great strength or they could be thousands of smaller beast. They could fly, shoot fire, or even have some special magic. On rare occasions they even have some intelligent.

Rain: The Rain is very important because it is the main factor that prevents anyone from being able to get to the Witch's body. The Rain comes every week on Saturday. Starting at 12:00am till 12:00am the next day. The rain looks like normal water and acts like it too, however when the drops of water contact your skin it consumes your life essence and feeds it into the fog. The rain makes you mentally, physically, and spiritually weaker. This is cured by getting the rain off of you and staying out of the rain. If your in the Rain too long than your soul won't be able to recover and will die from lack of energy. When the Rain pulls you soul essence out of you body it makes the fog stronger. Because of the fog killing most of the population of the world it is very powerful. However technically if the fog was to be left alone for centuries it would disappear out of lack of energy, but that is not a solution any time soon. It should also be noted that the Rain seems to have some kind of will of it's own. The Rain often takes paths of most resistance if it will lead to soul energy. Many people have tried to create home or underground mines to hide from the Rain, however no matter what they do it always finds someway to flood them. The only known way to survive is the barrier.

SnowIn the winter Avarice it becomes deathly cold. The Rain hardens and becomes snow and ice. However it doesn't lose it's deadly magic, the snow will sit on the ground for longer and still drain magic from it's victims. This makes it almost impossible to leave the city. The demons also go into hibernation, meaning there are much less demons. However what about resource's?

Barrier: This was created by the 7 heroes. The barrier stops only the Rain. Due to the Rains ability to seek out people the 7 heroes decided to not run from the Rain but create a way to survive within it. Since no cure could be found they used their combine magic and created the barrier. The barrier stops magical spells, however it doesn't stop physical matter. So the water from the rain/snow will pass through but the magic that pulls your soul won't. For things like monsters and demons there is a massive wall. The wall is made out of the strongest material that they could find a large amount of. If the monsters can fly over the wall then.....

Quests:

General: Quests are ways for any Faction to slowly gain power. There are always 3 quests that are given to the Faction leaders that are recognized by the council. At the end of each week (During the rain) The leader of the Faction is required to show up (Or if they have a valid reason they must send someone else) to the central capital. Someone who represents the council will tell the leaders what the 3 quests are. One quest will always reward runes, one will always reward reputation, and one will reward you a mystery item or spell depending on the other quests. There are 2 types of quests, ones that will forever stay and ones that has a time limit. The ones that forever stay, will move from one week to the next week. EX: Getting crystals to make runes

The other type is time based quests. This can range anything from defending against demons, to killing a demon, to finding something before the Rain falls. These will never last longer than the week. Most of them will just end after the week if not completed. However on occasion there will be very important missions that will require someone to complete them. However the reward will be very good and will grant a advantage to the Faction that completes the quest.

Reputation: Reputation is awarded to those who complete the reputation quest. Each week the reputation quest is available. Whoever completes this quest will be awarded an average of 20 reputation points. This resets at the end of the season(4 months). At the end of the season whichever faction has the most amount of reputation point will be awarded an item of their choosing out of 3 options(can vary). The second place will receive a far less valuable item, an item none the less. Third place receives nothing. The amount of reputation points that is award varies based on the quest, and during certain quests the reputation point could be split between multiple factions. EX: defending part of the city. If you succeed with the help of another faction, both people get part of the reputation points. Reputation quests will always be something that has to do with the people of the city or defending the city. It will never be a quest for your own gain, but for the gain of other. So even though reputation points don't increase what the people think of you, the quest you complete will.

Faction tournaments: (Coming soon  ;) )

Factions:

General: There are three Factions: Azeron(Artifact), Semangat(Spirit), and Khēmeía(Alchemy).

Each Faction has a headquarters somewhere in the city. The leaders will decide where this is. The leaders will also get their own forum page where they can explain everything about their Factions ranking system. They also decide what the Faction does and they represent them as a whole.
