Kim grew up in the prosperous land of Brittania alongside her father. She was born with what we would call today a growth hormone deficiency causing her body to not fully develop or grow past a certain point; however, what she lacked in physcial faculties she made up for through her mental prowess.
Miss White had an early interest in the medical sciences partly due to her father being a physician and partly due to her disability. She worked her way through school and was able to graduate in the top bracket of her class. Kim set up shop along with her father for approximately five years until her father dropped the news that they were to move to the bustling new world and that he had tickets already purchased. Kim, though surprised, was very pleased to hear this. A new home with a new start and a chance to make a name for oneself.
