Amber
Dressed in all black Amber walked through the crowded streets of the city, a cigarette pressed between her lips. It was getting dark and the people around her were trying to get home as soon as they could, from work or other activities, especially the ones who worked near the old warehouse district. The redhead knew why. It was because the people knew that this was gang territory and at night it was especially dangerous for an outstander to be seen there. The people were either scared of the growing gang activities like fights, drug selling and prostitution in the alleys and all the blackmailing or mad. But even if they were mad they were too much of a coward to say that out loud.
Almost every night gun shots could be heard or dead bodies would be found in the morning. The police had either lost control over the situation or was too afraid to actually do something, some of them even took money from some gangs to pretend that nothing was going on.
Of course one dared to say a word about it, afraid to face some consequences. No one wanted to get involved into gang buisness. The easier way was to just keep quiet and to pretend like no one knew anything of what was going on.
The young female pushed through the bodies around her bumping into a few people while doing so. She simply flipped them off when they started to complain about her behavior and kept walking. Taking one last drag from her cigarette before letting it fall to the ground and stepped on it with the heel of her boots. She turned around a corner and walked straight into an empty street from where she could already see the warehouses. Last time she was there was two weeks ago before leaving for a mission and Amber had missed it deeply. She didn't like to be gone for too long while not really being able to get in touch with her so called family.
The redhead jumped over a fence before putting her hands into the pockets of her leather jacket and walked up to the old warehouse where their base was located. She pushed the old metal door open with a smile, the familiar smell of steel and weed drifting into her nose right away. Amber walked further inside, not making much noise while doing so and was curious if anyone was even here or on a mission. Or beating someone up, she added in her thoughts and shook her head with a small grin.
"Hello? I'm back!" Amber called out while stepping out between some storrage racks and into the main room.
